While this is a good tip you were so slow and and did not move it along the Class was BORING I had to fast forward just to move it along. No I am not an expert quilter just a beginner You really need to watch your video before you actually put it out. Your picture was off so at several points you could not see just what was actually done. 46:55 46:55

This has been so helpful! Instead of fraycheck on those strip ends, could you run a zigzag stitch on those edges before switching down?

It's great you have a video on this. I probably should have followed along. I found this pattern quite difficult. I have sewed bags for years. This has too much unnecessary binding, a lot of thickness and stitching over existing stitching. I feel like I wasted time and money on it.

What is that triangle piece in the corner? Is it a piece of fabric?

I bought a new machine yesterday - and spent today working toward that "holy grail" - the1/4' seam. I measured two charm squares to make sure that they were 5" square. Then, I sewed two of them together - right sides together I then ironed the seams to the left (or the right - it makes no difference) - AND THEN I MEAURED, Sewing two (2) 5" squares sewed together should yield a unit that is 9-1/2" wide It took me three different adjustments - but I am now getting perfect 1/4" seams. I don't measure the seams - I measure what the unit should be. On my new machine, I need the middle in the middle, and I need the stitch width at 4.0 PERFECT! Measure after the completion of every unit. (And I never iron - I always PRESS. With Acorn Easy Press Solution in the seam.)
