      Hi, you most definitely will be able to ride around Lyn Brenig pulling toddler trailer, but might be a bit more awkward around Lyn Alwen as there is a skinny bridge, an awkward style gate plus a very steep up & downward hill. Other than that an amazing outdoor space to go bike riding & walking!

      Hi thanks, the bike is a HAIBIKE Hardseven 6 which I have had for just over 2 years now, done over 6000 miles & only have the one battery. To save battery power, I try to ride as much as I can in eco mode then auto mode when needed as the battery does go down quickish now due to age & usage.

    I visited last year on my 1990s mtb and had such a bad day there - when I got onto the end of the viaduct it absolutely slung it down and zero cover. Coming back was a nightmare, getting stuck in overgrowth along disappearing tracks in Ilkeston. Then 7 or 8 hills back on the road, followed by getting fired at by stray golf balls from Morley Hays. I have filed this under "never again/don't bother"! The only nice section was along that canal.

      Hi, glad you like the videos. I live in Derby, so all the routes that start in Derby I cycle start to finish etc. Anything that is in the Peak District or further afield, I drive to start, park up & start the ride. @brooksey234 Місяць тому

      Its a Haibike Hardseven 6, a basic lower range hardtail, but is absolutely brilliant & capable for all basic riding on & off road. Yes I would recommend it & any well made branded electric bike, just do not get tempted to buy the cheap knock off amazon/Chinese ones as these are not well made & you will be disappointed(dodgy components & dangerous battery's). There are some good deals around online & instore at most bike shops due to over supply from the covid knock on effect. If you want an mtb & are in the position to buy one, just do it!! They are brill & you will always be finding a reason to go out riding & not looking for a reason to stay in!! They help to ride further, harder, longer & also take you places you would not have thought possible or doable on a bike!! Here is info link to my bike brand followed by link to the online bike shop I bought it from: www.haibike.com/gb/en/hardtail-mountain-bikes/hardseven-6-gb1121?id=45008145 & www.e-bikeshop.co.uk/

    • @brooksey234
      @brooksey234 Місяць тому

      Hi, I agree with what you say if it was a once every now & then trip, but when the prices only a year or so ago was an 'average' £5 - £6 to then virtually double is just a rip off the same as the whole of GB has now just turned into an absolute rip off cash cow for everything. I wouldn't mind paying this if it was the only way this place makes their money, but it isn't. Also the fact that I like going out every weekend (sat & sun) plus any other available day off from work if it is not raining, these prices are just way to much & add up to a considerable amount that myself & a lot of other people cannot afford & is becoming one of many reasons that people are not going out & enjoying the outdoors less.

      @@boxercup1 Glad you had a great time. Yes, it was very hard & above mine & friends ability in places(had to get off & walk)!! I have replanned the route to change a couple of parts which we will do again in the future. I have arthritis in the hip so I can't ride a cross bar bike . But I am going to give it ago. You both are inspiring. Xxx

    You don't need an e-bike to ride those trails🙄 almost as bad as young fit people I've seen today on ebikes riding along the canal towpath

      I know, it is to help on the hills because of the inherited arthritis I have in my hip & knees! Also because I cycle a lot I am actually cycling above the assistance of the motor anyway & I do also have a normal bike too! I also do 10km every morning on my exercise bike before work. Riding an e-bike is not cheating it just helps people get out & push further & harder than they would on a normal bike if they need a little help on the hills etc. In the last 18 months of having this bike I have now almost cycled 6000 miles!!

      O & I have actually ridden these trails many times over on my normal bike when my kids were little, pulling them along on a tag-along bike.

    How much battery was left ?

    • @brooksey234
      @brooksey234 2 місяці тому

      On friends bike half a battery & on mine about a quarter. I have had my bike for 2 years now & done almost 6000 miles on it, so my battery goes down quite rapid on hilly terrain & have to pay attention to usage now. Other than that all ok & a great route 😃
