@@owen33333 that likely means they one or all are tripped. If resetting them wont work, you may have bad GFI's. Once durring a lightning storm we had a power surge near our home and it tripped every GFI in the house. Presumably a surge can damage them as well. You may need an electrician!

I'm not a licensed electrician but one of four things is possible if it was originally wired right to begin with: #1 The button is not resetting because its not being pressed hard enough. #2 You are not pressing the right button (reset should be pressed - not "test") #3 An "upstream" GFI or GFCI is needing reset first #4 You are dealing with a bad receptacle. It sounds like you might need an electrician!
Sometimes it's an upstream GFI somewhere else in the house. Double check all of them throughout the house. If all of them will not reset and there's no issue in the breaker then this means one of them is gone bad most likely the one that you're dealing with. That'd be a great time to hire an electrician and replace one.
If during that color change it also quots working its most likely 1) the GFI is going bad. 2) Something plugged into the receptacle or one down stream is tripping the circuit
@@brianleverett4026 the only thing I use in that outlet is a 2005 toaster and it works fine all the time but will be yellow or orange, I press the reset button and it goes back to no light
My GFI goes in but pops back out when I plug my plug into it
Does it always pop regardless what you plug into it? Or is it only when you plug a certain thing into it?
all my gfi's have red lights on them, no solution

What if light is yellow and won’t reset? I’ve tried pushing the buttons and it won’t do anything…..

My gfi has no green light,yet all circuit breakers are good i can't reset it? Why ??

Mine has no light and works just fine, then sometimes it’ll turn solid yellow and orange
