As we toured all of Noel orphanage as we went into each of the kids dorms, the kids would welcome us in with song. Sorry it is so shakey of a video. It is a tempramental camera, so if I do not concentrate on holding the cam still, it is horrible!

Korah is a village in Addis Ababa. It began when lepers came to Addis seeking treatment for leperosy. The city landfill poured into Korah, and today there is over 100,000 lepers, AIDS, and forgotten in Korah. A third generation of children are growing up in Korah now. Kimisagra orphanage in Kigali, Rwanda. Once I showed the kids a video on my phone, they would get up and dance, then crowd around me to watch it on my tiny camera screen. Then immediately jump up, to begin dancing again. :)

August 7-18th 20 of us got together to further the cause of the orphans, with a orinzation called www.visitingorphans.org We visited 7 orphanages, carried supplies up steep hills, loved on, kissed, and played with orphans. Listened to widows and the opressed stories, prayed with them. We fed lepers with our hands, and sat in a church service in Korah. And I will never be the same again!

Grace shows her ability to sign. I felt more on the spot not thinking of what else to ask her to sign!! She shows "water, eat, more, sleep" in this video. The water was rather cold! I think Marianne is cracking up, because we are squelling at the cold water rushing over our aching feet. (The breaker wall is no easy peasy walk!)

We were climbing the breaker walls to the light house. I couldn't get up one part, and we were frying in the sun, and tired of climbing, so we sat down. And as I was sitting on the bottom, I saw a fish jump in the water.... the rest is history!

@TheEdge012 It is very exciting to see her catch on. ^_^ I love when she gets a new sign. Makes me want to jump through the ceiling! She is one smart baby!!!
@soulpeaceinchrist Actually, she has been signing "water" just didn't realize it. =P The ASL sign for water, is the letter W letter sign, tapped to your chin. I thought she was doing "eat" two different ways. Till today I was getting her sippy, she pointed to it and signed "water" and I realized, HEY, she IS signing water.
@soulpeaceinchrist Normally she doesn't sign words in a row when I ask her for them. Normally she just signs what she wants, when SHE wants it. =P I just always sign things before giving it to her. Like before I hand her a sippy of water, just sign it first, and say it. Before changing her, sign diaper, then change her. Before nap, sign sleep, then lay her down. Then like today, she catches me off guard and does a new one she hasn't before.

@soulpeaceinchrist You must be getting this video confused with another one. =P She doesn't sign "all done" in this one. Was it a "baby sign language" or was it ASL (American Sign Language), I am teaching Grace ASL. Though tiny hands make there own variations. It is so nice that she can sign. Def. cuts down on the frustration for her and me having to guess some of the time at least.
@soulpeaceinchrist Actually, I am teaching her ASL. But as a child they kind of do there own improvising with it. Because it is complicated movements sometimes. Like for "eat" she always puts one finger to her lips. Or "more" she puts one finger to her other palm, for "diaper" (letting me know she needs a change!) she just puts her two hands toward the diaper tabs. ^_^ But she does amazing with it!
