Yep I agree but for a gun costing this much you’d think they’d put a decent rail on, guess it’s a question of cost. But I did change mine and it feels sturdy. I’ve been recording some more footage with the new zulus 3-12 and I’m getting one hole groups at 27 yards time after time. I’m well pleased with it. Am toying on saving up and getting another vixen short in .177 calibre so that I have a matching pair. And I did manage to dispatch a squirrel yesterday at 27 yds a result 😊

Thanks for your reply, short answer is yes as it is a lower base magnification, the field of view is wider and the rangefinder will range closer. Myself I found that on the 5-20 unit the rats appeared way closer as I looked through the scope. 👍

Thank you for your comment, like many others when holding the rail towards the front of the rifle when shooting it was changing the POI so with the new rail having no flex there should be. No POI change

@@adey1771 hi there thanks for your comment. I would say yes it has. I will hopefully uploading the 2nd part today to show the groupings. I did record it the other day but for some reason the sound didn’t record so I’m re-doing it today 👍

@jfkenpoman1 you have 2 weeks to try before I get my vixen. lol might save me a job, lol .I have some sheets of felt and 3mm EVA sheets was going to mask off any threads and use carpet spray or make a cage covered in felt to slide into the tube ??

Thanks for your comment Bill, as far as I’m aware George doesn’t do a 25mm shroud. You’d be better off asking him yourself on the FB Vixen page 👍

Hi frank, thanks for your reply. It is very close the silencer is marginally quieter but is longer than the shroud. Only about 0.5 a decibel in it from memory. The rats aren’t going to hear that. But it’s easy to swap over if I need too. 👍

Hi Robert thanks for your question. I get somewhere in the region of 160 + shots from my 300 bar fill. I’m sure a larger bottle could be fitted but I haven’t heard of anyone actually doing this yet🙏

Thank you for your comment, yes de-leading the barrel removing the deposits left from firing pellets through the barrel. I like to do mine every 6months or so 👍

Hi Bill thanks for your comment, sorry that this has happened to you, you’ll be better off getting one of George’s carbon shrouds then, as they have an internal baffle system fitted. Good luck with whatever you decide. Keep us posted 👍

@@jfkenpoman1 What I actually want is a slimmer shroud, perhaps 25 or 35mm rather than the standard 50mm shroud.
