@@skiddosaurusrex3524nice, where did you managed to get the adapter plate from? Also was the 6g72 originally in there sohc or dohc? I’ve been looking into 74 swapping my sohc 3L Pajero but most info I can find says the 74 won’t bolt up to v5mt1 gearbox and also that the ignition system is different and requires a lot of wiring work?

hey dude, 440 cl 660 open 65mm extended shocks, no rear swaybar and to get the last inch or 2 have modded the lower trailing arm much like the superior arms to bring the eyes closer together to allow the diff to twist more. have only done one side, but as you can see it makes quite the difference

Nah between the stock shocks and the stiff rear swaybars it's severely limited, however remove/ upgrade them and it's a significant upgrade, and very cheap to do too

V5MT1 and it has no issues, still has a stuffed second synchro from when i got it but has zero issues delivering the power. initial dyno was 240ish HP with no tune at 7psi with a 2" exhaust, now it is straight thru 3" and a little better tuned so my moneys on 260+ im making some changes now bigger injectors and a better tune then ill get it dynod again

8 years thrashing and jumping the turbo one and the only thing thats gone are control arm bushes, the welds on the tank cracked (that was rough but also a staple issue for these and tritons, pajeros) and have broken 2 axles, one cos i was a twit and tailwhipped a tree, other cos locker was playing up. all in all kept going for very little upkeep

i did a quick walkaround more recently on the channel, the build itself only took me about 2 and a half months or so with the manifold and wrapping taking by far the longest. working on making another vid, shes out of the car again and getting bigger injectors and possibly a more tunable piggyback or standalone

This particular chally has a welded front diff using the vacuum diff actuator to disengage it.

Believe it or not, around 9.5/100 lol Considerably better than the 3l. It does run a little leaner cruising initially but the oxy sensor irons it out, the static pressure from the turbo is wonderful

@@FlatBrokeAdventures yea the 3l was a massive joke honestly, putting a 3.5 in the magnas then dropping the cap for the larger heavier vehicles? Getting strong paid off by other manufacturers to allow them to remain relevant Vibes

@@skiddosaurusrex3524 how much work in swapping to a 3.5 magna motor. I believe the 3.5 pajero motor wont fit is that true

@@FlatBrokeAdventures the paj engine will fit but isnt worth doing with its overly complex intake. the magna engine is more or less a straight drop in after swapping a few thigns from the stock 3l over to it, need to mod the sump a little to clear the front diff, either extend or purchase tthe rear collant ally crosspipe and fab up a cam angle sensor mount. past that the ecu will nut out its tolerances via the oxy sensors and fuel trims hover well within happy ranges, much better fuel economy and power. theres another video on my channel of ranga doing donuts in the mud, his is a straight 3.5 magna engine swap.

A detailed video would take hours upon hours to watch let alone make haha I made this as a per project as I had spare time and did all the fabrication myself. A build like this from a shop would be $12000aud+ I managed for around 1k. Gate welder pipes turbo fuel pump injector fpr and time and research does the trick

Oh yea man it's considerable, front bar Def's out here extended shocks and lightly trimmed bump stops, and this setup isn't even close to maxed out I can lift it another inch and a half without modding the control arms, very moddable these weppos

@@skiddosaurusrex3524 your 3.5 already came with a 2 inch body lift, double what the earlier 3.0 had, this is to clear way for bigger transmission than the 3.0 , so i was told.

No body lift Pajero rear coils and would the torsional up about 85% flipped front ball joints and shaved about 10mm off the upper bumps. Stock torsion bars lol

@@jaystrub210 gen 2.5? what? the ecus on some of the 2000-2006 pajeros have a remappable EProm IIRC no idea about any of the diesels or 3l pajes, likely not, almost def not on the diesels

Surf's articulate bit better stock, but are well old now expensive to fix and are slow as fuck compared to the challengers

Got 246 on a sheet with a 2" zorst, running 2.75 now with a better tune so likely around the 280-300 mark

Haha dude search triton in my videos, made one a few years ago stripped down it made absolute piss span 5th from a standstill cos so little weight on the rear it was stupid Lots of understeer tho and the front needs a much wider track with extended arms Shit loads of fun

Haha, the hardest part is the crossover pipe by far. But these things go just as hard with a 3.5l in them

@@skiddosaurusrex3524 I'm stuck in Europe on a 2002 Montero Sport ... 4cyl 115 Ch... 2.5 TD... and it just doesn't cut it... with Diesel at 1.50+€ per liter tho...

Yea def lose the diesel they are hopeless, I have heard it is rather hard to get your hands on a 3.5l engine over there bar importing a crate engine, but of you do I can say it will be worth it. The video in my playlist 'ranga at the mudpit' think that's what it's called is a v6 3.5 na challenger

Super rad rig. I have an 02 sport. I dig it. I tried finding your build on Facebook but couldn't find it on the pa challenger group. Would love to know more about the turbo build and also are the ones there awd like the ones here in the states? Doesn't look like yours is with the way the tail end is dancing haha or is it a mod?

in this vid? 35" by 12.5 both sides on 17" rims yes i had to terrorize my arches with a hammer to make the fronts fit, the back had NO issues whatsoever 35 spare will nto fit under the car tho.

@@Gnarly_Harley yep 33s fit fine with -17 rims and a bit of wheel arch trim flattening, the non turbo chally in one of my latest vids, rangas, runs brand new yokohoma 33s and has 0 issues
