How To Fit Internal Doors....... Sort of
Great video was struggling with getting my new door to not catch now I know why.
What have w learned?....You need practice....
I've looked at this hammer before, I saw it on Toolstation's website for either £160 or £180 and was like holy crap! I think I'm gonna go for a standard or ultra estwing, but I still wanna know if this is good... I'm a beginner wood/metalworker/furniture maker and I wanna get a quality claw hammer
do you ever screw through the cill to either the door or the floor, or not ? am i overthinking the whole water sealing of it
Looking good there mate. Video was really helpful. Im looking at doing a solid worktop in a few weeks. I took the plunge and went self employed a couple years ago and put myself through a joinery/carpentry course. (Plumber/Gas engineer originally by trade) Best thing i ever did! Great to see someone take pride in what they do! Keep up the good work!
You with the specs, quit fooling around and get on with the job.
try find a good chippy that wount rob you is like finding a pvc company that charges the same for one window as all the house
own it up.
Very good thank you
Hi, I'm repairing a panel in a summerhouse door which is rotten. Its a small area and easily removed after taking off the beading. My query is when I replace the panel with my 12mm hardwood ply, do I treat the panel and edges to weatherproof it before I prime and paint? I planned to use CT1 to set it back in place before re-attaching the beading. I would be grateful for your advice .
Lots of waffle. And the I realised, you make content for girls.
Doesn't this method with the shelves put a cut edge on the top and visible? Or was the front strip bevelled??
I’ve got a door rotten right through in the same place as this one. What is the difference in price between getting a joiner to repair it and just replacing the entire door? It’s a cheap external door for a garage, probably only a couple of hundred new
I notice you had some slots ready to accept biscuits but you didn't use any, isn't this unwise?
I'm guessing he couldn't fit the worktop with them in as there wouldn't be enough clearance to slide the worktop in with the tiles on the opposite end
Personally, I would say you need the biscuits, so the way round it is to use an old chisel to create 20mm clearance in the plaster/plasterboard at the opposite end to the joint.
If you work on a building site it would be nicked within an hour 😂
Where you from buddy?? I'm near Lanc
Someone within Estwing told me last year that they have been in talks with a company that forges Titanium and they are going to be making them for Estwing and bringing them to market hopefully this year 2024 .
Any truth behind this?
Bridging packers are a pain just something else to buy. That or cut a grey in half.
Paldies par informaciju 0:23
What length pins do you use? Just boarded up a few rooms with 12mm plasterboard on solid walls. Not sure if i should drill through the solid walls and use screws or try gluing and fire in a few pins
Jason you alive ?
Heres my question- Why do kitchen fitters use worktop bolts and not just domino the edges with ratchett clamps to bring the pieces together?
There may not be enough clearance, say between the worktop and the wall for example
Did I miss the bit where they put in the dowels?
Just happened to stumble upon this video and see that routing jig for the second time. The first was in a video from ages ago and as I recall, also a UK based carpenter. What's this board called? It seems to be uniquely used in UK to me but does seem like a nice jig to have for countertops that have a curved front profile.
Only generation nailgun could produce a carpenter who can't use a hammer or know what a 4 inch nail is.
Nothing wrong with gen nail gun though is there pal? What’s wrong with being more efficient and productive? Do you have a problem?
No I don't have a problem! I'm a carpenter who can use a nail gun and a hammer!!!
Aw, poor guy. You resentful of young people cuz you're sad about being old?
@@gregorsamsa1364 why would I be resentful of generation snowflake! On the hole the most entitled incompetent and weak generation to ever exist! To be fair to the guy in the video he is keen and he's trying to promote his busines but unfortunately so many apprentices are not taught properly anymore. My apprentice has a carpentry teacher at college who is not even a proper carpenter!
@@andrewdolling8739 I rest my case! 😅
Nooice!
forgive me if i am wrong but i thought that was called a scarf joint, and not a splice ! and also the angle should be 30 degrees and not 45 , to enable a better strength of joint !
Could you please state if you carried out the disconnection of the Gas to the hob ? or did a registered Gas Safe person did this part of the job. The fact that the Gas Pipe was left 'Open Ended' while you carried out this work is against the CoP Gas Safety Regulations. A Registered Gas Safe 'Competent Person' would know that and would Never leave a opened ended Gas Pipe unattended. I witnessed no other person present during your joinery installation in this Kitchen. To become a Competent Person costs a lot of time, skills, knowledge and major investment of money to tradesmen to attend courses. If the owner of this property has obtained a Gas Safe Certificate , then that's good for the house insurance. No Gas Safety certificate = No house insurance cover.
Hello , my frame from a upvc window is not firm on the upper side, and the screw won't come off, can a make two holes on the PVC to screw to upper wall??
Nice vid taa. The cill. How do you fix it down ? Drill n screw or stick with silicone. I’ve seen different methods on yt.
Hi mate , came across yr videos whilst on iTube , I must say attention to detail on yr work is second to none , fantastic work , what you up too these days
Excellent video. The music is much louder than your dialogue and I had to doggle the sound up and down several times 🙉
Did you use 12 or 18mm
No add on to hinge side !!! schoolboy error
I am also struggling for a job now, not easy. I am hoping you are doing better than me. 😉
Swing with more control , your swimgs are wild , hence why you are missing a lot .
Loving the videos. Great work.
How are you scribing three sides to get it snug? You mention a template, do you mock it up out of cardboard or something?
Look at the nail not the head of the hammer you're driving in will be a whole lot better and it won't matter whichever Hammer you're holding always look at the nail well that's what works for me anyway
Just got the Milwaukee nail guns heavy but really good.
Got a stiletto a year ago. It was expensive but my elbow has stopped getting sore. Love the titanium hammer.
Thank you for this really useful video. It would be great if you could show how you finished off all the joins. For example, where the Easipanel meets the skirting board and dado rail, wall edges etc. Did you use a silicone sealant or caulk? Also, a big request - could you record a video showing how to run the tongue and groove panels along a straight stretch of wall and then continue up the the stairs onto another straight stretch on the landing? I keep putting this job off. Many thanks again 😊
What a lot of rooting around fk me
Good Vid. was that an open end on the gas feed? isolated or not that is a big no no. sack the gas fitter! Jus sayin
Its used for framing more the carpentery 😅
Where you at ?
God bless you Jayson
Good videos and very knowledgeable hope he stars posting again soon 👍
