Mine Made Adventure Park
The 'Old Timers' from Northern Indiana meet up with our Kentucky friends again, and we try the trails of Kentucky's Mine Made Adventure Park. Mine Made it's not part of the Hatfield-McCoy system.

Us old-timers take the scenic route option from Rustic Ravine Resort to Cabwaylingo State Forest. and we would suggest this trail to anyone. Kentuckian, Randy Simpkins, joins us flatlanders again, to help us navigate in this beautiful corn maze of a country.

Anyone who lived in NW Indiana in the 60's knew about US30 Dragstrip, it was located then in Merrillville, Indiana, now Hobart, east of I-65, north of US 30, by Clay Street. Here are some of my home movies.

How old are the guys in this. They look early 70s. Should have a younger with them guy if shit happens. And shit happened.
My sister told me this lake turns yellow every year for to a train derailment. Is it true?
It’s rumored that a train derailed by Lilly in the 20’s and that the Engine was lost into the Lake. One could check with the La Porte Historical Society to see if there is any truth to it.

it is a nice smooth ride, there are also several cemetaries in there that are pretty old and have cool chapels. worth a look. Leo from Hillbilly files was there when we were and we passed him on the trails

Do you pay a fee to ride those trails?
It was part of the Hatfield-McCoy System, so yes, you pay a fee and you must use an approved helmet.

Great video!! I love the fact you incorporated a lot of the trail system! Also love the riding style more exploring then trying find ways to tear up your machine! The groups i joined in the past just want to find the toughest and most challenging trails! Maybe I’ll see you guys on the trails someday. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, not in our budget to tear up a machine or our old asses, we will take some black trails, but with an element of caution. As you’ve stated Deliveryguy, us flatlanders love exploring this southern scenery, and we always have some local friends to keep us out of trouble.

I figured that trail went to another trail I like seeing older people involved in wheeling having a great time that is what it's all about pops was having a blast beautiful scenery thanks for the video

My mom & stepdad took me there in 57. Then went from 69 till it closed. Could hear them run in my Hobart township house in 80 till 84. Thanks

Wasted away a lot of my youth at us 30 spectating and racing. Love these old videos to guess what year they were taken and look for people i knew. All my old 8mm videos from the early 70 s were lost.
Never a waste of time, but memorable times for sure. Sorry to hear you lost your 8mm, know the feeling, we’re looking for my cousins 8mm that were misplaced a few years ago.
