Coyotes sightings are fairly common in Canyon Lake and surrounding areas. Every now and then I'll hear of a coyote getting to a cat or small dog, but I don't have any stats regarding how often this occurs. If you have any other questions I'd be happy to help! Condos owners also pay their sub-association dues. The dues for Canyon Lake do tend to increase a little bit each year, but there have been a number of years in the past where the dues were not increased. Many folks can’t write a check for a house, so they obtain financing. The good news is that the payments don’t have to go on forever. Much like with a new car. Once the house is paid off, the owner gets the deed. Just like a the owner of a car gets the title once the car is paid off. As for the other payments such as utilities, those are optional services but I wouldn’t want to live without those. When it comes to property taxes there are ways to reduce them, but it’s tough to avoid them entirely. 🤣

You're welcome! Thank you for checking out this video! It is a great trail with nice views of the lake and the mountains. If you go in the afternoon I would recommend a hat and sunscreen, and take plenty of water. It can get HOT!

Good point. While boats can be considered "personal" the Coast Guard gives the PWC designation to specific vessels, such as sea-doos, jet skis, etc. The operator of a PWC typically stands or sits on top of the vessel, and PWC's typically lack safety features of a boat such as lights, horns, etc. I hope this helps, and thank you for watching!

I believe you can access the northernmost portion of the lake for fishing through Kabian Park in the community of Quail Valley. It will be a little hike, but I believe it's open to the general public.

Like your wife, I grew up in Canyon Lake myself and I have enjoyed my life here. I'm sure there are better places to live and worse places to live, but each person has to make their own assessment regarding their desires in a home and a community. It is unfortunate to hear you didn't enjoy your rather lengthy stay in Menifee. There are many great people living in Menifee that I am lucky enough to call friends. I have found that when I take the time to get to know people and ask about their lives and experiences I can learn a lot, not only about them, but also about myself. I'm glad you found a place you enjoy. You are correct that the majority of Sun City is 55+ but there are subdivisions without age restrictions.
