I had an exhibition
Переглядів 96Місяць тому
I had a solo exhibition to coincide with the launch of my book. Held at a local coffee shop called Onwards. Surrounded by my friends and family. This was all shot by Chris, one of my closest friends. Thank you man for giving me such a great visual memory of the night.

Spring in the Alps

Footage from my trip out to the French alps back in march/April. Leica Uk kindly lent me a 50mm lens for this trip which was super kind and I really enjoyed the switch up from using 28mm. instagrams Me ( your host ) benj.story Ben ( the Grepon / my host) greponvisuals
Printing at Make it easy
Переглядів 112Рік тому
Had the opportunity to go down and print some of my negatives at Make it easy lab. This is something I've been interested in doing for a long time so I made the most of it! Such friendly guys down there and learnt a hella lot about printing world of photo making.

An evening with EDITORS
Переглядів 258Рік тому
I recently joined EDITORS at the Manchester gig of their UK tour. It was an amazing experience and it was my first time shooting anything like that. I was overly happy with the work I made over the course of the evening and its never really sunk in that it actually happened. To see more of my work you can visit me over on instagram benj.story
A London weekend
Переглядів 2892 роки тому
I recently took a long weekend down in London, to visit friends but ultimately make some new work. Ended up shooting a tonne of portraits on the M6 and RB67 plus a weird little side project on some very green litter. instagram is here benj.story

Lovely images, stunning settings, inspiring, enjoy the journey
Stunning photos, lovely to see background video, mountains + sandals is a new combo 😂
How many pictures ended up in the book?
Around 70
What place did you use to print the book?
Ex why zed
Yo nice sweater! Looking slick my man. Nice camera too! I am mad jealous. Also who shoots XP2! Deep cut bro. I have subscribed in hopes of living vicariously through you as you shoot your leica because I'll probably never be able to own one. BTW, please don't be upset if you scroll upon my video making fun of leica owners. It was all a joke for internet attention. I don't want to get cancelled by the film community before I get a reel following.
I think when this video was made the standard iPhone lens was 28mm and the newer iPhones the standard is 24mm
No vabbè il titolo in italiano 😂😎😎😎
Awesome
Always super interesting to see the location vs the shot! thanks for documenting this!
love the whole energy!! if ur still around i‘m working at a mountain hut near the town of forni di sopra right now - tons of awesome hiking trails right out the door & definitely photography potential as well! i do recommend :D
A dream location! Love the photos!
Thanks so much!
Hey Benj, im enjoying your pictures a while now on IG. Its cool to see whos behind the camera. You seem like a pretty chill guy! Loved the video and the pics. Especially the ones with the guys shoveling. Looking forward to the next one!
Thank you man, really appreciate that :)
God I can't wait to shoot my first batch of sx-70 film. Now I just need to get my hands on an SX-70... 😂 THIS YEAR. I SWEAR!
It’s sounding like your meter sensor could be dirty/ partially blocked and giving you strange meter readings. I’m assuming you’re in the uk, you have a guy there that does fantastic work refurbishing those cameras. I’m getting a second one refurbished being delivered today. Anyways, doing so much digital camera photography, I found myself beginning to get retro style cameras and going back to more manual focus and manual exposure. I then thought about film but went with something in between, film but instant and now I’m on my second sx-70. I’ve been taking the cartridges and removing the batteries and metal spring inside and storing them there. You can fit around 12 photos.
Great first prints! Wanna get into it myself.
I love my 28mm. What camera are you shooting?
Great video! Do you mind if I ask where you got your camera strap from?
That was from a uk brand call heath and hind but I think they are out of business now. I also have A similar version from hawksmill which make leather straps
@@benjstory thank you!
Hey dude, great job. I’m really loving this videos.
Hey, thanks!

Nice video and great shots! To archive them i would suggest an actual polaroid photo album, i bought one on Amazon for fairly cheap (like €20) and it can store up to 160 polaroids, they're well made and don't take too much space. Either that or put them in a shoe box like the ones from vans which are quite small and could also maybe keep them somehow organized :)
Thank you man! I actually picked up a the Polaroid album and I’m loving it
Awesome work! Your photos are great! Iwas at the Manchester gig too. Absolutely stunning atmosphere and will never forget that night. My favourite band of all time
first
Love the portrait at 4:43. Nicely done.
Thank you! Was one of those that I didn’t know if that light would hold the scan together but it came out
love looking at your work man ~ looking forward to seeing how this channel grows:)
Thank you! Many more to come
Smashed it
Some good video work by you
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Big Like 13
You keep opening your mouth but you ain’t saying nothing for 8 minutes.
Absolutely stunning! 👏🏼
What lens did you use for Leica in this video?
sick one
Shout out Madeira boys
wow nice scenes, what hiking shoes are those at 1:19?
They are some cheap ones from decathlon. Quencha I think the brand is
Wow beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber here 👍.
☺️👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks!
It was such a good day
great video I get my M6 today im super excited I do have one question where is the camera strap from?
i got it from the leica store in london, its by kensington leather. i have another similar leather strap too by heathandhind on instagram
the lens makes the images and the body is just a light box. Invest on a good lens instead
Good to see you posting man ✌🏻subbed for the next one.
Much love as always man, more vids to come soon
Thanks for sharing your initial impressions. Like you, the first lens for my classic M6 was not a Leica lens ... it was a Zeiss. Do you plan on buying additional lenses? If so, which ones?
Not at the moment no. I love 28mm
that is a nice-looking M6.
Was well looked after before coming to me for sure
Nice video mate, love my M6. Where you from? Sounds like you are close to me up Preston way.
Leeds man
The results are from the lens and the film, not the camera. The camera just makes the experience better.
Exactly! I have been fortunate enough over the years to end up with a 28 and 50 Summicron. If someone said I had to shoot the M6 with non-Leica lenses, or shoot any non-Leica M mount body with the summicrons, the M6 is gone.
amazing quality of scans. You do them yourself?
Thanks! No I use my local lab @takeiteasylab on Instagram
I can only imagine how much the M6 cost. I bought mine before the prices went crazy.
My canon 28mm 1.8 is my go-to lens, love it
It’s interesting to see that the most of the art happens in-camera and the post adjustments are very minor. This is what draws me toward film photography and of course it’s unique colour profiles! Keep going! Lovin’ it!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Love it!
splendid!
Film forever.
I am so proud of you for sharing your passion, the Mamiya rb67 is a amazing camera, I have my since 1994 and it takes great pictures.
Thank you man , really appreciate the kind words
