That’s some genuinely good skiing by the photog. And the conditions are real tough, ice and not enough snow so it was rather narrow. Skied it fast and w/o hesitation or stopping till mid-point waiting for partner. Was at Big Sky this late spring, great conditions, this is a touch too steep for this skier at his vintage, and most days up there it was snowing heavily and powder heaven. Did come down Liberty Bowl on the other side, total whiteout, steep, steep entry, instructor-guide was key to find one’s way down, especially through the snow gates and not knowing at all what to expect, couldn’t see maybe 5 ft ahead and the drop off at the top is steep. Fortunately it is wide, but not visible in a whiteout. Great skiing GC, master-class on handling steep terrain in very sketch conditions for ‘normal’ people.
No fall zone for sure, saw a short of a dude falling from maybe the same trail and sliding the whole length of the trail while hitting rocks as seen from witnesses from the tram!
Once upon a time you had to hike up there to ski it. Back in the days, I remember watching a skinny skier do this run telemarking decked out in wool knickers...1980
Skiing something like this is about the challenge, not about the fun. I don't want to feel like I have something to prove to anybody. Technically I could ski this, where I'm at as a skier now. I also could still catch an edge or clip a rock and then I may not live to ski again! I think I'll pass.
Excellent run down the Big Couloir, you made it look easy, of course the camera doesn’t accurately show how steep the line is. There is another recent UA-cam video filmed from the tram of someone who missed the first turn and slid all the way down the Big Couloir, survived with some broken bones.
Nothing fun about that. It is so chopped up, chunky and crappy. The 2nd skier was so much smoother and in control. Much better skier. You can see and hear how hard the camera guy is working. The other guy isn't even breaking a sweat. Challenging run though.
One of my good friends was the youngest to ski the Little at 8 years old. He held the record for years till a 7 year old came and did it. Guess that’s what happens when you live here.
Yeah, no, on second thought, the steepness and tightness of the place would make me choke...if I made a mistake and fell it could get really fucking ugly. The bummer is I might be able to ski it if I got over the fear. Much of it is in your head.
Looks like a place I could ski if I didn't freeze up from fear or make any mistakes....meaning I could ski something as steep but it's the narrowness that might freak me out at the worst time possible...and if I froze up from fear I wouldn't be skiing it right.
Same here, I love steep sketchy terrain but the feeling of falling scares me. I just hate being airborne or falling down a slope like this. I don’t go on these types of sketchy slopes often though as I live on the east coast and my local hill is tiny but I still ski 5 days a week.
sounds like you don't know much about east coast skiing, or skiing in general; those conditions were totally fine especially after the first couple of turns
Dude can ride. Very nice.
Wow very well done in those conditions
Looks more like the Alps than the Rockies!

Why? This isnt skiing. Its just controlled falling while attached to skis. Who cares
crazy steep ! gnarly

There’s no GoPro effect on this video dayum
Absolutely spectacular thank you for sharing!

Nice to have ski patrol right there with you haha.
Skiing better than the patroller 🤙nice turns bro
Hearing the ice was the scariest part, good job man!
Nice work, guys. I'm glad you dropped back into the fall line in the lower part. That vertical was to nice to waste.
why'd u let other guy pass
Charged it. Nice dude!
Hey man good job. Not easy on those ruff conditions, also steep hill. I love these vids. Keep up the good work
What is your size and weight and what lenght E100s do you ski with here?
No margin for error = Terrifying. lol
Wow icy icy. Nice run
Ski patrollers are the easiest skiers. They ski all day, every day, so have a relaxed style of chewing up the mountain!
You know it's steep when he looks up at the rest of the slopes of Big Sky and they look flat

That was Jerry's plan!
Full send portal is the name of the video
Dude is ripping it
On my way there from Wisconsin I am in South Dakota now
Nicely done! I guess if you're solo, you can get a patroller to go with you? Keep turning!

The sort of conditions you do not wish to fall in! It could get ugly on that particular run. Well done.
I went skiing there and what you did is the one thing I wouldn’t do

No fall zone.
3:29 I went down before these guys and you can see the spot where I stopped to take a piss

Sweet!!!
That doesn't sound like fun!
I know it is a challenge but it doesn't look like fun...skiing is suppose to fun
Fun if it had more snow! Good skiing
You’re out their skiing, while I’m sitting here not even having xbox live friends
Dude you rip
is this one of there triple blacks?
Yes
This signature one, big couloir, is the diamond on the top of the crown.
Looks very early season compared to conditions in other videos.
Great skiing. Ski Patrol guide all out chill. Love it all. Well done.

I bet when the snow is just right that thing is the best. Never skiied it.
It’s insane, so much fun

Sounds like east coast skiing😂 awesome run tho I’m so excited to go to big sku
Jm
its that sun baked wind blown crust when you get up on the mountain
Trust me i ski in east coast and its a lot worst than this
sounds like you don't know much about east coast skiing, or skiing in general; those conditions were totally fine especially after the first couple of turns
that beginning part looked icy af
that was dope
That's the quickest I've seen anyone ski that bitch. Like you were skiing a blue groomer.
