Future Failure
Ugh.
When I first envisioned how the basic tune was gonna go, it was meant to suit something like a futuristic racer or something. A little 80's-ish flair to some of the sound. But as I kept working with it, things started to veer in a different direction. What ended up happening was this, and now you know how the song got its name.
I'm posting it because this is as much as I'll probably do with it. Maybe someone will think this is good, but no guarantees.

The main beef of the song came up one day. Tried to think of more substance for it and only got twice as much song out of it, so it's not much. It ended up with one type of instrument and very simple percussion, but adding more to it seemed like it was doing it no favors.

This was made a few years ago when I was still learning the music tool. I made very small tweaks since. Interestingly, the tune developed while I was imagining an original "Rhythm Heaven" minigame. Now intended as a character's theme song, it's meant to invoke the feel of an old-school shmup akin to Gradius. Short but sweet.
A Good Start

This short tune was developing little by little in my head for several months. I eventually made an attempt to flesh it out, and this was the end result. It's not perfect, and I should've used headphones while putting it together. And worst of all, upon retrospect, I really don't know why this ever came to be. It's a tune without a purpose.

Had a chance to make another small thing. I was actually trying to get a different tune put together in my head and suddenly this came out of nowhere. It was a short enough thing, but it was an opportunity to learn more about the music tool. As the name suggests, this is perhaps most suited for some video game main menu or something like that. But it's kinda catchy.

So Pac-Man's 40th anniversary has been acknowledged in Tekken 7 via a revamping of the Arena stage and a few character cosmetics. It spurred me to mix the two in a different way, so here's Heat Haze Shadow in Pac-Man CE2. Nothing amazing here.

Actually meant to do this for the 35th anniversary of XEVIOUS. Either way, this is UFRA Special Event 11, where everyone is PAC-MAN piloting the Andor Genesis. The handling is tricky since it's a hovering vehicle, and it's floaty for the same reason; the challenge is overcoming these details, as it's otherwise not a difficult race. ...I miss Ridge Racer.

I don't know about the rest of you, but whenever Bass speaks in a Mega Man game without voice acting and comics, I always imagine him having the same voice as in this animation!

Now that makes me want Pac-Man as a playable fighter in Tekken 8 and his Rage Art could be him landing a large amount of chomping blows after launching his opponent in the air and eating one of those Power Pellets that allow him to eat a trail of ghosts like in Pac-Man Championship Edition 2. Great video combination.
Next year, it'll be the 20th anniversary of this animation.
