In Mark 9:40, Jesus responds to his disciples when they tell him that someone is casting out demons in Jesus' name, but is not following them. Jesus Christ says, "For he that is not against us is on our part". This passage reminds us the importance of unity in Gods kingdom and the power of working together for a common goal. As followers of Christ it is easy to become divided over minor disagreements or differences in opinion. We may see those that do not follow our exact beliefs as being against us. However Jesus reminds us that if someone is not against, they are with us. In other words we should focus on what we have in common rather than what separates us. As Christians, we share common belief in the love and Grace of God. We should be willing to work alongside others who share this belief , even when they may not follow our exact practices or traditions. We are reminded the power of unity in Mark 9:40. When we come together for a common goal, we can accomplish great things. Let's focus on what unites us as Christians and work together to make a positive impact in our communities and the world at large.
