When the Gruffalo met A.W. Jenkinson
Переглядів 1,6 тис.3 роки тому
We have a very special place in our heart for The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. In 2014, we helped celebrate his 15th birthday by taking 15 giant hand-carved versions of the terrible creature with 'knobbly knees and turned-out toes and a poisonous wart at the end of his nose' to Forestry Commission sites across England. #wordbookday #gruffalo #awjenkinson

One of the trucks will be based at our company headquarters in Penrith, while the other will be based at our Runcorn depot. The new design is a way to show how grateful we are for the NHS and all key workers involved in the fight ag...

Used to do this job. Good days and bad, they like their pound of flesh from you but that’s what you can expect trampling, pay wasn’t great at the time but good experience and professional outfit
What a job to have. Great life, going to all the different forests.
THis is just amazing, what a company!
Love seeing you guys on the road, I'd love to work for you!! Can't wait to get my class 1 done! 😊
You guys in the UK should check out off high way logging trucks nz or logging trucks at pan pac Napier new Zealand
You penny pinch of drivers taking night out money when that driver went home during Covid as no where was open
Are their trucks automatic
Aren't they all these days?
What age have you got to be to drive
Its 2 years since u made this video
You should make more videos
Have you started paying for nights out yet? 😂
The destruction of wildlife habitats is nothing to be proud of !!!
your claim is highly wrong, this is not a wildlife habitat this was a timber plantation the whole purpose of its existence in the first place was for it to be harvested one day! and its great to see them making use of the scrap wood and using it as wood chip, I wish they would do that more local instead of leaving it in the filed to rot and waist good wood chip!
I’ve always want to do that job
Still loving the job after 4 months easy work and as dirty or clean as you make it Never pushed you just do the best you can and they ask for no more Moneys brilliant for what we do Try working on a farm if you want 100 hours a week and low wages then you can moan 👌👍
Where are you based? I like the look of this company not sure to give it a go
Same I wanna ge ta job w them except I'm 22 and alotta truck licence job u gotta be 25

@@jasongrozier8277 Yes, unlike British bigots I am still able to travel to other countries in the Schengen region :-D
And now the wages have gone up 👍
They take your night out money if u run out of time in your home town penny pinching company watching you all the time glad that geezer dropped there trailer
There's a clue in the job title for one of the reasons for a so called driver shortage. It's not so much there's a lack of licenced/qualified drivers, it's TRAMPING! low pay (for the amount of time away from home), road works, congestion, driver hours, CPC, health and safety, let along the company specific rules. The bigger the company the more managers having meetings to arrange more meetings to dream up new rules to make a drivers job even more stressful!! Some of the larger haulage/ transport companies are going to have to change their business model asap. Less reliant on tramping and back to shift work. Obviously more complex than that but that's some of the basics. I would suggest that most drivers are uneducated and just want to drive a big shiny new truck from A to B with minimal hassle and stress. Where do I get an application form?
Any jenkinson tramping videos.??
Let us have your telephone number so we can call you when we see your driver's turning or changing lane to overtake without indicating !!
MUPPET!
Every one of Jenkies I see on the A82 drive like absolute loonies ! See one of Jenkies coming and head for the grass for fear of losing a mirror , see them in BSW at Corpach abuse the shovel drivers because they are under so much pressure ! You deserve to be short of drivers
Must be desperate for drivers surely
Interested as to why walking floors and not tippers?
Because you get more product onto a walking floor
. . . That makes sense ! What does this as ?? Where does it go next ?? Animal bedding ? Or Does it go back into any Construction material like mdf or chipboard ??
I drove Class 1 for five years as a second career at age 60. Mostly agency work without any tools etc. At an M1 services just before dark, I found a tail light cable had failed. A driver from AWJ helped me with a screwdriver and his break time. His kindness made a massive impression on me - it has got to be a very good firm!
Nice
It's not a bad company to work for and the garage at Lockerbie is a credit to the company. One of the few things I found that let it down was the planners and the attitude that it was their weekend to keep you out if they wanted.
I'm from Romford, looking for Tramping role
Hi Andrew. Please email drivingjobs@awjtransport.co.uk - they will be able to tell you what is available.
Done tramping loads of times. Mainly hauling sea containers from Felixstowe and Tilbury etc and brick carriers working out of one brickyard to another etc. Get yourself trained up with lorry loaders and cranes, then ADR etc then go self employed as an agency business.
Hi, from Invergordon, anything going that way??
Hi. We work out of Invergordon a lot but the depots are in Bo'ness and Lockerbie. Please email drivingjobs@awjtransport.co.uk - they will be able to tell you what is available.
any around South West Wales
We have Newbridge-on-Wye and Avonmouth.
Hi any jobs in hull area on days?
There is a depot at Goole you might be interested in. Please email drivingjobs@awjtransport.co.uk.
I’m loving the job so far and the money is spot on 👌👍👍
You get a basic , nights out and then percentage of each load but no one knows how much the load is. £650-700 a week for 5 days tramping same as most places
@@DriverExtraordinaire-qn6gt Not worth it being out all week. Not surprised they're always looking for drivers. No as bad as Keedwell!
@@SB-hr5yr I don’t work for them tho I only spoke to one of their drivers whilst in a que he was running out of Runcorn
@@DriverExtraordinaire-qn6gt sorry. Should have replied in the other section. Silly me 😂
@@SB-hr5yr in all fairness bulk haulage isn’t bad albeit a bit messy at times but I don’t mind it at all I also tramp but I do 4 on 4 off which I think is the perfect balance in this job
It's not a bad company to work for .
Is the pay good with Jenkins I was thinking about driving for them
@@davidrollo3260 when I worked there it was a flat rate . You don't get paid overtime. So it's the same money if you do 10hrs or 15 hrs . I was chatting to one of their drivers a few weeks ago and he said they put their money up and he was taking just over £700 a week home in his pocket
@@mad7206 thanks 👍
David Rollo where are you thinking about running out of with them
