Ruby Mountain Hay & Grain
United States
Приєднався 6 жов 2016
We are commercial hay producers in Southwest Montana. You could say farming is in our blood, as we are the 10th generation of farmers in the family.
Waste of time Combine 2023
Just kidding... For all you barley drinkers out there! Harvest is rocking and rolling at Ruby Mountain between rain storms.

NEW W235R- Worth the Upgrade??
Переглядів 96 тис.2 роки тому
We have around 400 acres on the new windrowers so far and wanted to share our thoughts/first impressions. Overall we are very pleased with the machines, the updates are noticeable and well worth the upgrade in our opinion. Let us know what you think in the comments! Things we love: - General cab updates (new look, new feel, very quiet) - Joystick (reduced wrist fatigue, more control options, th...
Growing Season Preview (or Review??)
Переглядів 1 тис.2 роки тому
This time of year is full of anticipation as we wrap up tillage, get the crop in the ground, start irrigating, and see the first seedlings emerge. Since the 2022 growing season has official begun, we thought it would be fitting to look back on 2021. Baling up a storm
Переглядів 5 тис.8 років тому
3 Massey Ferguson balers baling a pivot of hay at the farm in southwest montana with a storm on the way.
Bonjour Je me permet de vous demander pourquoi avec un automoteur de fauche il ne se fait pas plus large de coupe? Bien sincèrement colin dumont De france Drôme 26120 ourches
Why buy such a small and self propelled mower (only 1 use)?? Why not a tractor and a triple mower? You can use the tractor for other work ...
Would love to see more of these videos with classic rock like the Milstock video but oh no great job!
Technology can be used for good or bad, and man never seems to know when to quit. When these massive crop producing machines advance to the point where humans are no longer needed, what will all those crops be grown for?
Feeding everything and also Chemicals.... Corn makes Ethanol which is used in an awful lot of products. If man quit on technology populations would collapse infant mortality would soar and human life expectancy would go back to medieval period of like 45 years old. So f*ck your position on Technology. Also you commented on Technology on a Computer / tablet / phone - on a Video platform - definition of a hypocrite - so sod off to the woods like Ted Kazinsky.
Well, I’m not sure if you need to eat, but most people do. So I’d imagine they will still be making food for you all. Lol
Hello, how many hectares does this machine work per day?
In good conditions 20+ acres/hour, or about 8 hectares/hour if my conversion is correct.. depends how long your day is😄
Looking good!
I don't like that machine
I drive a freeman bail wagon the one with chains and a box would love to use one of these
The real upgrade is the new Massey swathers with the double conditioner headers
Great job on your video. Wow the 4k? Looks amazing. Thank you for sharing.
👀🚜💪💪
Lo siento no entendí si es semi automática en su conducción como en EU Gracias por tu exposición

Boycotting carhartt apparel since they chose to fire people if they didn't get the the Jab I'll just say that for the tyrannical sensor people but Carhartt's supposed to be you know the working man's apparel and then they push that tyrannical jab in their employees or they were fired so it just reminded me of it when I seen you shirt I have not burned any of mine but I did start working on the trucks and stuff with mine so grease and all that stuff like that don't matter and then I'll throw it away but I'll never buy them again because they well they let the Working Man Down A lot of people lost their job it's like the old saying goes if you can't stand for something you'll fall for everything so it's just something I was reminded of when I seen your shirt teach his own I'm not criticizing anybody who ain't that's just me and many others that have got together and said no thanks to your tyrannical movements and falling under the stress we need America companies to stand up for American people they're not going to do that then I don't want to give him my money it's already hard-earned enough as it is
Never own anything from carhartt but just ordered some after reading this comment.
What’s the point 🤷♂️🤷♂️ That investment for just three meters and then it’s good for nothing else Get 9mtrs for same price and use tractor year round That is just a waste of fuel and money
These are 16foot or 5 meter heads, this hay is going through a baler after being twin raked, so dry hay not haylage, this is a good fit for conditioning the hay and dry down. I assume you are are referring to a tractor mounted triple mower, the ones I've seen don't have a roller conditioner, and you have to drive on more hay for turn around and the 3 windrows as opposed to 2 windrows is a problem for raking. But yes, your right it takes a lot of acres to justify $
@@rubymountainhaygrain9304 Krone have rollers and up to 14 meters in a single pass
@@mungogerryjnr Didn't know that the Krone had a roller, how much does one cost?
@@randytaylor4092 not sure but you can rest assured it’s going to cost too dollars but that’s the price you pay for supreme equipment. I suggest teddering because it’s not only faster drying but even windrows after raking. I used Krone gear and I’m 100% confident it’s superior! They are awesome to work on and parts supply isn’t matched by others Seeing is believing, have a look at the beast BigM 14 mtr If they make that and six rotor rakes, they are proven themselves!

Seems you could easily add some round tubing with mounting tabs to the edge to prevent crop damage at speed by using the existing skirting bolts.
Yes, I don’t think it even needs to be steel, just something to cushion the impact, we’re gonna work on it this winter. Thanks.
@@rubymountainhaygrain9304 Some cheap PVC pipe would round it over or some of those pool noodles or foam pipe insulation would make a soft edge. Gorilla tape in a few spots would allow testing without permanent alteration of the mower. Heck that stuff is durable ...you might use it as the permanent system and refresh the tape each season. Nascar uses it at 200 mph! LOL
Nice!
My my FAR CRY from the model 880 I ran back in 1968 with 14 ft header and cab with A/c.
Great job on the video, very informative.
