Read the book A Child Called It. True story the only thing worse is when the abuse is from their own mother. Gut wrenching. Makes ya wonder if that school counselor would have turned it in. Maybe?

Not impressed, there is no Sense of urgency in a matter of seriousness, in a life and death situations.

I have seen this once and don't think I can watch the trauma of this again. Everybody should see it and learn from it. Me, I am thankful I never allowed any monsters in our home after 'abusive to me husband' died.

This movie is terrible.

Absolutely no excuse at all for a Mother who allows her child to be abused absolutely sickening!!!!….. and trust me I was in that situation and Hell no I didn’t let it to continue! My child came first I left with the clothes on my back and my children by my side. You could say it was a struggle but nothing was worse than the abuse inside that house! I pray for all these women who have children to gain their strength and walk the F out that door

That step dad was very bad but at least changed for the better. Child abuse causes psychological damage. Did she (the mother) have any place to go. She should of taken her 2 sons and left. Why stay and let a guy harm your children. She must of been mentally ill.

I swear this is the same bridge as in "supernatural" i only tell you this because i cant fathem the thought of children getting hurt 😥

"Come on, your family wants to see you." - I haven't heard words even close to this from my dysfunctional acoa family of origin, not in 20+ years. (maybe never) My mom always welcomed me but after she passed away in 05, me and my siblings grew farther and farther apart until estrangement. Not seen any of them in 10+ years and say but a few words now and then to 1 of my older brothers on social media. I really needed a family to as now I'm 1 person shy of being alone.
