My Guild GAD-50 is a chinese-built (unfortunately) guitar with a phenomenal neck, gorgeous tone and stunning wood grain. The back and sides are bright flame maple, and the neck is a darker finish, which contrasts beautifully. I spent $500 on it pre-owned, and it plays, sounds and looks as beautiful as I could ever want. You don't need to drop thousands on a hand built acoustic just to chase the "perfect tone"

I just found this video, and let me say dude you have true talent! this cover is beautiful!

I understand the message but what a bad example, the tone on that whole album is amazing. A lot of tone is also in the fingers which is why no matter how much you spend you may never sound like your fav players. Best advice is play however you want and hope people respond to it

Actually the guitar in the song Pink Moon is out of tune, so really as long as you’re Nick Drake you can make anything sound good. Seriously though you got a great point, to many people out there try to go for high end gear straight out the gate when all you really need is a guitar that has good action and stays in tune.
