There's a retaining clip that's hard to remove on the bottom of the front air bags - is this re-used and if so, how so?
It’s like a big R clip they can rust in the air bag. But with some penetrating oil and patience it should come out. Ideally you should replace it
If it fits to the underside of the airbags and you've replaced the airbags, how can it be re-used with springs fitted?
Then the airbag is removed to fit the spring conversion there is a mounting bracket for the springs that utilises the same mounting that the airbag was using.
I'm a German vehicle technician and I just don't understand it. What is the problem with maintaining the EAS properly?🤔
Thank you for sharing! Can you show a full list of new parts that you decide to replace? How much do you spend on parts and are you happy about the quality of the parts?
9 out of 10 if you dont replace the shocks that should be matched to the springs you'll be over sprung and under damped and the ride is pooh. The best spring shock combo sets are Arnott. Do not forget to inform your insurance company the car is modified as bags are OEM. Claims have been refused and revoked then owners prosecuted for no insurance. The P38 towing skills are greatly reduced by springs too.

where did you get this hanger for the rear. You could lift it even more with it?
Im not sure where the hangers came from. It was a kit fitted before the customer bought the vehicle. But yeah in theory you could lift it more

Learn how to fix and maintain the EAS. It's very simple and cheaper than springs

Good luck I’m sure you’ll be ok. Best advice is take your time and mark up / label things up as you go

Quick question, how loud is the induction sound? I had a stainless installed on mine a few months ago and we have to keep the windows up to talk in the cabin. I was hoping switching to plastic would help reduce the noise.
It’s fairly loud specially with me having the ram facing backwards.

No the bearing had collapsed. Was only the timing cover holding it all together
