Please Don't Stop Holding My Hand - AMV
I wrote this song about the emotion of losing someone close, whether it be through a break up, or tragic event. Even if we know it's coming, we don't want them to let us go.
The AMV was put together by ryuzakiimgken (make sure you give him a follow on IG). It features: Silent Voice, Your Name, I want to eat your Pancreas, and Your Lie in April. Hope you all enjoy :)
Equipment:
BC Rich ASM Pro

Road to the West Backing Track

Per request, I am uploading the backing track of my Road to the West Cover. It used an Angel Voices patch from the Motif Rack. I'm still trying to figure out how to do a tutorial on how to play it, but I don't have very good vid equipment for recording it. The song is in the key of Bb, 4/4 and 62bpm All credit goes to the respective copyright holders. I do not wish to monetize this video.

This is my first singing upload, and I picked a song that I've loved for a very long time. It reminds me of lessons that my dad taught me about how to enjoy all the small positives in life. I recorded it for him and sent it to him for Father's Day since I couldn't be there due to travel restrictions. This would mark the last time I used my Novation Launchkey midi controller, Digitech Genesis3, ...

Summer of 1996, I was driving to work and a song came on Smooth Jazz 105.9 called NYC Trippin' by Soul Ballet. I was hooked on that sound, the lush strings, the samples, everything just had a "night city" feel to it. I picked up the CD right away and found out it was one person, RK. Multi-instrumentalist and producer. Every song on that CD was amazing. I made it a point to pick up the rest of h...

This is a song I spent about a month and a half working on. It's an arrangement on a jazz song composed by Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts. It's originally a sax solo performed by Masato Honda(correct me if I'm wrong here) and backed up with a synth. I put a little of my own spin but tried to stay to true to the original feel of the composition. Equip list: Guitar: BC Rich ST-III Amp: Digitech Gen...

For the most part I am going to let this song speak for itself. It captured a lot my passion and took quite a long time to finish it. I did most of it last night and started at about 8:30 or so... then I worked straight til 12:45 in the morning, and still didnt have it done. My hands were about to fall of. I retooled some parts of it and it came out sounding great. So I present to you, proudly,...

So this is my cover/arrangement of a song by Andy LaRocque that appears on The Eye album by King Diamond. I actually started doing it by mistake, but ended up finding the chord progression and sound to my liking, so I just went with it. I doubt it would have been expected that anyone do a smooth jazz remake of a heavy metal song, but I think it does the original good credit anyway . King Diamon...

This song is very important. I wrote it a few years ago for the family of a girl who died in a car crash right outside my neighborhood. I didn't know them or her, but for some reason I felt I had to put this song together. I left it for them at their roadside memorial. "Sunbeams" refers to a spiritual belief I've held about sunbeams that come through the clouds. I believe that they're a way for...

    do you make all this music yourself or do you collab with others?

    • @smoothknyte
      @smoothknyte 6 років тому

      Well the covers are naturally written by other people, but when it comes to the arrangements, I do all of those myself. When learning a song, I play along to it, and then start to figure out how it all fits together, and then start arranging it. Since I'm a midiot, I just play everything manually through my Yamaha (piano, drums, synths) and record each track on sonar. Then after that I'll add the lead elements, like the guitar or vocals. Unfortunately my schedule hasn't allowed me to work with others including my brother whos the guitarist for Coatsworth-Hay. Once this last degree is out of the way, I'll hopefully be able to do that. I've got a couple of original songs that I'd really love to get working on, including a country one, and one with a female vocal lead. Working 7-6 and then having college classes makes it tough.
