The thing about Geraldine Jones was she always dressed well, was independent and never degraded herself. That was by deliberate design by Flip Wilson. A great character.

Johnny Carson was truly an original. He was brillant, funny and devoted to his night show and charitable org. On interviews, he was less tense and very personable. He was very handsome. He did the show 1962-1992 and he was the BEST! ❤❤❤❤

She doesnt want to show her true colours. She wanted Elvis. She never knew Vernon at the time. She invited Elvis, Elvis dad, and grandma to her home for dinner. The obvious reason was because she was attracted to Elvis. When she realised she couldnt get Elvis she went for the dad. And its true that Vernon was very very attractive too.

Star Trek debuted in 1966 & so did I. I have watched those episodes to many times to count & they still hold up. They truly don't make them like this anymore.

Early color television was a much different experience for performers than it is today. Tremendous amounts of light was required, generating much heat and discomfort for the actors. Cameras were big as small automobiles and heavy duty rollers with 1 or 2 technicians pushing were needed for moving them around. Video tape recordings did not exist until 1958 for color, so most of the early programs, if we were lucky to still have them, were preserved by black and white films called kinescopes as color monitors did not photograph well. As technology progressed less light was required and the giant cameras shrunk to a fraction of their original size. As a 13 year old with 14 other 7th graders, I was invited to recite poetry on the only color tv camera available in Reno Nevada in 1969. The camera was a huge hand me down relic that had to be white balanced and calibrated before every broadcast, it required 2 technicians to move and operate, and the amount of light used was blinding and we had to be careful not to look directly at the stage lighting. Amazing to think that I am holding in my hand a cellphone camera that is many times more sensitive and fully automated!
