Also, its always useful to be able to switch roles when needed, if you'd only train speed as a winger, and your 8 falls off pre season, you cant just jump in if needed. Multi-discipline is always better in my opinion
What about crunches with a 2.5kg plate behind the head for rugby?

As a winger in a all age comp could i just do weighted sprints twice a week or once. and would that be enough cardio each week. Considering I do weight sessions , team training then game day I worry if I threw in a bronco or a 3k run once a week it be too much. Whats you're thoughts? Thanks

@@TimDuncan611 that’s really hard, you could buy a tackling bag and continuously work on the movements leading up to a tackle, try and reinforce yourself staying on your feet and driving through the tackle bag
Would doing a RDL into a shrug work with a 50kg EZ bar for rugby ? Thanks

@rugbydevelopmentcoach I read that cleans and ez bars are a dangerous combo. but yeah all I got is a EZ bar and thought a RDL to a shrug could still improve my explosiveness and build my upper back and traps for rugby. Also could I do a high pull with a ez bar if I use a wide grip? Thanks
@ you don’t need to do cleans and yeah an ez bar is not great for cleans haha

Could i do upper (monday) lower (wednesday) and full (Friday) as i enjoy this better and it means i can do more quality on those days or is the three times a week for the whole body alot better

Hey, are you able to give me some exercise that help recover from a sore lower back? I've gone too heavy in my case and caused pain and I don't know what to do other than rest and relieve tension when i feel like I could do more

How about you do what they actually do, and get full range of motion first before you start stacking on weight…
@@avocadoarms358 do you even know what a full range of motion is? Why do you need a full range of motion in this exercise, Isometrics have been shown to build as much muscle which is no range of motion. This isn’t a conventional deadlift. And just so you know the second set I do I take off 10kg and do 5reps off the floor, but that doesn’t mean you need to do that. So your comment is stupid and lacks no context.
could a modified GVT work like 10 set of 5 reps? 2-3 times a week but then i dont know how many exercises i could fit into this modified session i guess 4 exercise 1 for back, core, chest, and legs. whats you're thoughts on this regards to rugby during the season? thanks
@@newglorydays-yu6bb there are absolutely no need to do 10 sets. It takes 1 set to get 1 unit of hypertrophy, it takes 5 more sets to get to 2 unites or hypertophy in the session. the most you could possibly do on one muscle group working sets in 6 in a session. Each set after the first set is loses more effectivieness

It depends, you can absolutely get stronger with 1-3 sets once a week if you either arent super experienced or if you recover very slowly. Typically very strong people take longer to recover.

Happy with that, mate. Good content, really well broken down, step by step. I coached kids from 5 to 13, so quite a lot of contact training. And yep step by step, repetitive, progressions are the way to go.👍
Too bad you don't feel the need to only rely on the content of your video instead of feeling the need to wear a skimpy bikini with the straps pulled....a shame
you literally have no context. We were about to go to our local swimming hole, it was super hot and that’s how we normally walk around our house. We both still have clothes on, if you feel the need to sexualise everything that’s on you. To us that’s how we normally walk around the house.

Agreed, both are needed. I've seen too many young players over focus on either strength training or playing the game, with little balance between the two.
Its sad that many kids nowdays don't know how to hop, skip and jump. Thanks for this video. Athleticism wins!

I wonder because caffeine makes you acut stronger, is it because of activating the highter threshold motor unit and can you got more growth because of this from caffeine?

@@ew-zd1th there would be definitely research around strength levels in a session and that would mean more motor unit recruitment
