Wood heat burns wayyyyy healthier imo vs all other methods. i bought a century cw2900 on ebay for $2k. Is this the same model you're referring to??

I wedged a penny in the right corner between the lip and the bottom vents. That ended the vibrations on my Century cw2900.

I installed this stove at my parents house in 2011. What a beautiful stove. It put out great heat and we loved it. The secondary burn was excellent when you drafted it down and could watch a nice lazy fire. My parents sold the house this year and will sorely miss their wood stove. Watching a fire on a cold New England night was better than any tv show - ever.

Hello, I have the same wood stove insert. It's a great stove but I think I have a problem with the blower. I can turn the blower up all the way but I don't feel any hot air circulating out of the side or top vents. Essentially, I don't feel like the fan is doing much. What's your experience?

Is there a screen over the glass to help protect from burns?

The stove is still working great, love it. I switched the fan box back to cord out to the right this winter and it works the same, maybe less fan noise.

I also have had the same stove for 3 years... I love it... Hopefully it last many years to come

I came up myself, due to my needs, with the fan invert. It works fine. The baffles, to each their own I guess, it seems to me the picture in my instructions were separated and it works hotter for me and keeps the glass cleaner if they are one to the front and one to the back.

The air damper does not control the air that goes into the tubes (called secondarys). The air damper only controls the air that enters the stove from the front and washes down the glass. At the back of the stove is a fixed air port - that feeds the secondarys. In this way - the user can never choke the stove from air which would cause a smoldering fire and prevent the EPA certified (exempt status).

HI - at 00:19 I think you said the baffles must be seperated in the middle to allow the fire to escape. If I heard you correct - this would not be the right baffle install. The baffles must be flat and together - towards the rear. This leaves a small opening near the front of the unit - so that the fire hits the top and gently rolls across until it goes to the front. I installed this unit in 2011 for my parents - but also have owned a CFM (now SBI) Century since 2006. Same design.

Yeah, I still have it, love it, fits my needs - don't need exclusive heating but does a good job by it self most of the time in DC east coast weather on a 1920 sq foot house. I inverted the fan because I wanted the cord to go to the left, came up with that on my own, works fine. It's not really quite, but I turn the fan down at night, use the HVAC system on a circulation setting most of the time. This is not a stuff it and leave it all day stove. Free delivery to an Ace Hardware store was +!

The fan works the same, the screws match up so it works. Wanted the cord to go to the left. Stove available from ACE Hardware with free delivery to store.
