Picked up Another Honda Civic! Parts Car or Daily?
Переглядів 69421 день тому
I picked up a 1996 Honda Civic with the worries that I wasn't going to see my white Honda again. Fortunately, I got my white Honda back and now I have two 1996 Honda Civic's. Do I get it running and driving and have two Hondas, or use the new Honda I got for parts on the white Honda? Stay tuned because time will tell!

Volkswagen MK4 Jetta/Golf Engine and Transmission Removal
Переглядів 24 тис.4 роки тому
Thats right! I go over the steps I take to remove the 1.8 liter turbo engine with the 5 speed transmission attached. This video works for most mk4 Volkswagens (e.g. Jetta, Golf, Jetta Wagon) and it works for all the different engine classes (e.g. 1.8T, vr6, TDI) give or take a few steps. I tried to do a commentary video on this one so hang in there, trying new things! Ill say I need a new mic b...
Volkswagen MK4 Jetta Interior and Wiring Harness Removal
Переглядів 3,4 тис.4 роки тому
Jetta Update! I decided it was time to remove the interior and all of the wiring harnesses from the car. I did this so that I could re create the body harness and engine harness to delete extra sensors and connectors. As for the interior, that is staying out of the car to never be returned but I will utilize some parts. Facebook: Josh Henderson - josh.slimhendy TC Performance Auto ...

daily on it is a sweet car to take on a road
@TrevMonsterbeastgame801 I'm thinking that's the idea 💡! As I fix it up I'm liking it more and more.
@@HendyBuiltPerformance i will
Makes me want to work on the one I have it’s also b swapped, keep making videos on it 👍🏻
Sweeeet, just do little things here and there and you'll have something you really enjoy! I got a lot of parts waiting to go on. There are definitely more videos coming
Looking good bro, keep it up. Subbed ya !
@deecivic thanks. I appreciate you! More videos coming soon
just get a new battery and send it!
@@pokerdealer2003 new battery should fix the rest of the problems 😅
ty!
This was really helpful with the offside tail light.. Thank you!
Can you not drop the engine from the bottom?
I appreciate all the info! I got a built motor in my 04 that I wrecked and I bought a 04 GTI golf that has a broken stud in the head so I’m wanting to swap everything over but it looks so challenging especially with the hex’s and allens along with all the crazy vw stuff. My old one also has Raxels.
I've never seen one that bad in germany. TÜV would kicked it of the road way before it could get that bad.
Yes, mine was less than this one and TUV kicked it of the road in Belgium. I believe in USA they don't care about the rust.
Brehhh! I need help. Watch the video but looking for some more details I work on fords which are my personally vehicles and they are trucks😱 so removing a compact turbo diesel is foreign to me. If you have any advice please share!!!
Aah yes let me just quickly pull my entire dash out
Fucking german engineering at its best. What a shit design. Thanks for the help
I found an easy way to disable my alarm on this exact car. 1. Use the original fob key for the vehicle and open the trunk. 2. Use the same key to turn on the car. 3. Go outside open and close the trunk with your hand. That was much easier. Lol.
Rusted as fuck just like mine
I did this on a Mk5 - I seem to remember I could just unplug the loom from the ECU rather than disconnect all the individual sensors etc. Is that not possible on the Mk4?
Yes it is 😊
just stop your career white boy
…ummm… I guess they could have been painted before installing….
Glad mine isn't the only one that did this lol I'm also getting the rocker panels for mine as well
Every single one did it
hey man did u remove your condenser too?
Hi How did you renove the wiring harness from the steering wheel are? I cant seem to pull it through from one side to the other...
did you ever figure out how.?
You sound like gyutaro from demon slayer lmfao
I just parked in a parking lot, locked the damn doors, the alarm goes off.... I felt so embarassed idk why, and didnt know what to do, everyone was looking at me. Damn vw
You talk to.much need t80 pin location
I think your talking about one of the connectors on the Engine computer. The egine computer is located under the cowl(plastic piece on the outside of the car at the bottom of the windshield.)
Well this work for a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta 2.0L TDI 4d sedan?
This will work for 1999-2005. Slight differences between vr6, 1.8t, and tdi but relatively the same
what size is your long extension please when you remove the axles tia 😊
Great! now i can get home ! 🤠
I wonder if it would be cheaper to have the fenders painted before installation.
It’s better to spray it on the car cuz you want to overspray to blend it
I got the same colored vr6 golf
Great tutorial, man. I just have to ask, did you not have an air conditioning?
I do not have air conditioning. The refrigerant was taken out with an AC machine at some point in its life. MUST REMOVE REFRIGERANT BEFORE DISCONECTION OF AC LINES.
That's so unfortunate this is the one step I'm stuck on lol
How much is the cost with labor or newer car
Shit happened to me yesterday at walmart parking lot its tragic still no fix ... vw golf 2010
Thank you! Very humble video, I like it :)
Looking to do this same for my Jetta - did you use the same hardware to bolt the new one on? Or did you need new bolts?
@William Sanders Found a fix yet? Only way I see is to fabricate your own metal/buy replacement parts/ cut from scrapyard somehow and weld it back, then bondo out the rough parts and paint the whole rocker
@William Sanders Ha, I should have bought a toyota
This fixed my issue. 1 my alarm controlers battery died when the alarm had been turned on. 2. A new battery did not help because the alarm controler lost its battery. 3. My alarm could not be turned off. 4. The car could not be moved because the alarm was honking and honking. 5. did the disconected the alarm like he said in this vidio. 6.then disconnected the battery. 7 then ran the heater fan to drain the power from the sistem. 8. Then connected every thing in backwards order and the car turned on. 9. I dont have an alarm any more. But now I have a running car. 10 I cant reprogram my alarm controler because I have driver door problems. I hope this helps some one. Your videos saved me thank you.
Far play bud u helped me out 👍
@@nathanbyrnehealy2235 ifound a much easier way to turn of the alarm. You take the original key with the fob use it to open the truck and the alarm should turn off. Lol. Like I said much easier.
How many hours to remove engine and reinstall?
Making this timestamp list for myself, but might be handy for anyone else studying this video! 01:00 Remove wheels 01:17 Remove axles from transmission 01:40 Remove grill, front bumper, intercooler tubing, front support bolts 03:13 Empty coolant, disconnect radiator + wiring, remove front support 04:34 Remove battery+tray (note to self: probably do this first) 04:45 Disconnect wiring harness + move aside (note to self: label everything) 05:57 Remove intercooler tubing from turbo remove shift cable bracket/slave cylinder from trans 06:41 Remove power steering lines from pump + trans Remove dogbone mount disconnect fuel lines 06:59 Summon Trevor to help get engine on hoist Disconnect motor mount bolts Carefully remove engine...
Thanks for making the timestamps! I should of done this.
Late but summon Trevor was funny
Half of the side skirts eaten away by rust, never mind that 😅
Just like every one
What power are you running and what manifold are you using?
I made over 400whp at 25 psi of boost on a built engine and gt35 turbo. Ebay t3 manifold
Excellent video
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing! Any videos of a Jetta 2.5 removal?
Go back and listen to the video again. There are several places that will give you the answer to your question.
Careful of the right side, it might be stuck and you might end snapping the corner of the tail light, specially if you wanted to put it back and not replacing it
So why don't you buy a new comfort module then it will be fixed
Thanks
Thanks for your help man
Hey nice car bud!
Thanks dude

Need help with a vw 1999 golf oil pan replacement cant get the two 10 m screws that are near the gearbox
Try using a ball head 6 mm Allen key socket with a universal joint, preferably with a 1/4 inch ratchet. Also make sure to remove the dust cover on the transmission, held in by 2 13 mm bolts
What year is this car, manual or automátic?
