    Random question… why’d you go all the way around to go back to the front yard?

      @@artymunoz5060 Good question. The property line on that side of the house was so close I’d have to drive half way on the neighbors property to get back. Unfortunately the neighbors weren’t about to allow it. Long story short

    I have a fairly big property in rural Australia (for residential), I owned both gas (Stihl) and electric (Dewalt). We went with electric. Gas is way more powerful, but it's unnecessary if you are just a home owner, take the extra few seconds a season to cut but save big on maintenance and gas. If it was our day to day business, in most areas 100% would go gas but if I was had regular clients in managed areas of Sydney where the growth is not crazy I would probably have an electric system. Our next big electric investment is a ride-on mower (we want to wait for someone other than Ryobi to make one).

    I've got the Stihl Combi system with the KM94 2-Mix stratified combustion engine, blower, line trimmer, pole saw, adjustable angle hedge trimmer, edger, and carbon extension. Had it for around 12 years to look after around five residential properties and replaced the whole suite a couple of years ago. I went for the KM94 again because it is a simple 2 stroke without the complication of valve train like the 4-Mixes, is reliable, economical, adequately powerful, and importantly 0.4kg lighter than the 4-Mixes. The blower is fantastic and all the other tools do the job well. The new hedge trimmer attachment has the same number of teeth as the old one but is shorter with a smaller bite which annoyed me. I've read that the gearboxes can fail in them so I'm assuming that instead of beefing up the gearbox they lazily just de-loaded them. The Husqi trimmer is longer and looks more commercial. The other weak point is the plastic insert and key which fit into the end of the attachments. The connection relies on the clamp to prevent the attachment rotating. Other systems have a pawl which mechanically locks them in place. The plastic key eventually gets damaged and you have to replace the insert. Not a big deal or expense but a design flaw imo. That being said, overall the Combi is a very good system which provides very good leverage to my time.

    My eletric harbor freight pole saw cuts like butter compared to that Dewalt

    • @watdahel
      @watdahel 5 місяців тому

      I will concur. I've had mine for about six years and the motor brushes just recently went kaput. I got this Dewalt and I also immediately noticed the hesitation to start if the chain is resting on the branch. The Harborfreight which runs on 120 volt 6.5 amps had plenty of torque and didn't have this problem. I think the Harborfreight also spins faster so when I do undercuts it doesn't push me or start bucking the way this Dewalt does. It could also be the chain is more aggressive as the video said. Harborfreight is half a pound lighter, a foot shorter, corded, more powerful, leaks a lot of oil, only $65. If you don't need to go cordless then the Harborfreight is the way to go if you can manage the oil leak during storage.

    Psalm 121 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
