      I’m sure we aren’t. I have many friends in the Southern Baptist church, however we are Wesleyan in our theological perspective of scripture. Thank you for watching

    I never thought I would see the day when the COG would turn worldly woke and lower their worship styles to suit the world, complete with casual dress and sneakers on Sunday as if going to a backyard BBQ. Modern progressing Christian music complete with drums and tambourines. Now that leaders like Robert Reardon have passed, the young progressive liberals have taken over. Sad to see that after having been raised in the COG since birth. I feel compelled to go to the Nazarene's.

    Is this the Church Of God Of Anderson, Indiana?

  • @thesilentgeneration
    @thesilentgeneration 2 місяці тому

    Do you mind a suggestion for outreach? I was born and raised in the COG of Anderson, Indiana, but I ended up in the Philippines and retired there. There is no way I can attend and worship in a COG here. Recording your entire Sunday Service and post it on UA-cam, I know that is a lot to ask, but it would be a blessing to many of us. God Bless.

    Amen brother. Through His grace we shall be forgiven, but the consequences will remain. What a blessing to know His blood covers even this. God Bless.

    Too soon old, Too late smart. My youth could be summoned up in one word: naive. But we have one who undertakes for us in all things. Praise the Lord. What Do I Value? In part, I value tradition, This is why I could not worship in the COG even if I was living in the States. The worship service has changed too dramatically for me. I recall a theme at Anderson Camp Meeting back in the 1950s: You Cannot Serve God And Mammon. It appears to me that the church has let the world change it rather than it changing the world. I see electric guitars, drums, and Contemporary Christian music being played from the stage even at alter call. "Just As I am" or like hymns have been replaced for modern Christian music one hears on the radio. I understand the need to appeal to the younger generation, but we must be separate from the world, in it but not of it. There is still a lot to be said about tradition. I understand the belief in each church being independent of Anderson, but some things get lost in that independence, and I am thinking that tradition is one of them. I once worshiped at a COG in Jacksonville, Florida. One day it came time to request a new pastor as the current one left. The board of trustees in their infinite wisdom started interviews. The first man interviewed was not a COG minister. He graduated from another religious school but in the same basic Christian category. He was so charismatic at the interview that they hired him nearly on the spot. Today that church is no longer affiliated with Anderson but is some sort of New Life Ministries but with the same pastor. Tradition, it counts for something.

    It is sad to see the members of the church show up for meetings wearing blue Jeans and casual clothes as if on a backyard cookout. Yes, I am old, but in my day being raised in the COG we showed respect to the Lord by dressing in a formal way. I don't think DS Warner would be proud.

    I was born and raised in the COG, but I've been away from the States for 21 years, living in the Philippines. It's been a while, many years, since I was in a COG service. The pastor and all the men wore suits and ties. There were no drums or guitars or fast movement on stage swaying to the music. Not saying right or wrong, just different. If a change like this can take place in just 20 years, just think if someone from D.S. Warner's time were to see how the church looked in the 21st century, I think they would be shocked. Of course, I'm 79 years old now and don't realize how many changes have taken place. It is just different and a shock to me. I don't know how to take it. In my time, we dressed up to go to church out of respect for the Lord. No condemnation, just an honest observation. Even Black churches still dress formal for meetings. Not being critical here because it is not how we dress or what is on the outside but rather the condition of our soul and whether we have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and claim him as our personal savior. That is what all of this is about. Everything else is just not important. ua-cam.com/video/t4k3uKuiKW4/v-deo.html

    What does the church fell about Hebrews 6 & 10? I was born and raised in the COG and have been involved all my life. I consider myself saved, but now I begin to question that. Likewise, I was very young, maybe 12, when I was struck by the Holy Spirit while sitting alone in the darkened sanctuary. The Spirit came on me suddenly, and I felt a certain tingle in my body out of the blue. At the time, I was thinking of spiritual things when it happened. As a teenager and as an adult, I let lust creep into my being. But I never left my faith and did work in the church. Lately, though, I put off lustful things and repented. The Lord has blessed me greatly. Yet, this particular chapter 6 bothers me because I suppose I was shown the light by that encounter but did not live a completely dedicated Christian life. I need to hear some thoughts on this from other Christians. Hebrews 10 "For if we sin willfully after receiving the truth, there is no more sacrifice for sin".

      Keep seeking the Lord with your whole heart and walking in repentance and the light he gives, you will be ok! I experienced the same thoughts as you when the Lord started putting his Holy Fear in my heart and I actually started devouring the word. His peace and love will come in due time, wait upon Him. God Bless!

    Genesis 1 is ELOHIM (Lucifer and the fallen angels). They made this realm. They made man in their image. (tares = natural man) Man is an idol, a trap to hunt angels. Genesis 2:7 the Lord God forms His representative in their system. (wheat = spiritual man) One Gospel: Gospel (GOOD ANGEL) of Reconciliation. Jesus Christ came into THEIR kingdom to reconcile fallen angels unto Himself. We are the fallen angels (ELOHIM) kept in DNA chains of darkness. If you do not confess being a fallen angel in Lucifer's kingdom, then you are an unbeliever. Unbeliever = those that claim to be made in the image of ELOHIM(gods). REPENT FALLEN ANGELS.

    ⭕God told Moses on Mt. Sinai to use Pi 3.14 π as the cornerstone to build the Wilderness Tabernacle in 1440 BC. In 94 AD Josephus the historian wrongly described it as rectangular-shaped. Exodus 25-26-27 blueprints build a circular-shaped hendecagon outer courtyard. What is superior, the bible or established secular/ecumenical history? 330 Exodus 26:8 eleven curtains each 30 cubits long 15 Exodus 26:12 one curtain is folded in half to 15 cubits long - 1 Exodus 26:13 curtain hang over/seams add to 1 cubit long = 314 3.14 = 314 circumference/100 diameter ≈ π ratio (100 cubit court per Exodus 27:9-18) ................. Is this discovery similar to the Dead Sea Scrolls or even Martin Luther's 95 Theses? How did we miss this for 1900 years and does it even matter anymore? .................. History of finding π: -(1900-1680 BC) Babylonian 3.125 for π -(1650 BC) Egyptians gave the approximate value of π 3.1605 -(1440 BC) Moses recorded Pi in the Exodus blueprints 3.141592653... Exodus 26:13 ≈ Pi -(500 BC) India's Aryabhata approximation was 62,832/20,000, or 3.141 -(429-501 BC) Zu Chongzhi a Chinese mathematician 3.1415926 - 3.1415927 -(250 BC) Archimedes from Syracuse showed between 3.1408 and 3.1429 ................. More than a thousand years removed Josephus did NOT know Exodus 26:13 approximated Pi. He was describing the Temple's structure and NOT, and NOT the Tabernacle from Exodus 25-26-27. See? Pi is coded in your DNA. Consider King Josiah & the Prophetess Huldah rediscovering the forgotten scriptures, right? When will Pharaoh let this go? Almost 3500 years ago "Exodus 26:13 ≈ Pi" was lost on Mt. Nebo when Moses died. How will religious and non-religious acknowledge this systemic seed-changing paradigm shift? We are going back in time in real-time to change history to line up with the Word now! Moses recorded Pi 1000 years before Archimedes from Syracuse's Pi. Everyone including myself rejects this text/arithmetic until studied personally. After confirmation please repent then rejoice. Please remember these are blueprints for God's big tent. Experiencing God Exodus 26:13 ≈ Pi ⭕ כְּכֹ֗ל אֲשֶׁ֤ר אֲנִי֙ Religious or non-religious please use the scientific method, consistent hermeneutics, and common sense. All this is brand new so be patient with yourself. This teaching from Moses is NOT too hard. ua-cam.com/video/y9vwgARhy4w/v-deo.htmlsi=TalYvjtrh8kfW730
