We’re definitely getting into our final days of the 2024 garden. Next week they’re predicting temps at night of 33 degrees and it always gets colder than what they say so I think that will be it. Time to start preparing for next year!

Too many new varieties this year! It’s great to grow new varieties but trying too many at once can be chaotic!

The garden is still thriving! It’s so sad that it will be done in a few weeks when we get the first frost of the season.

We’re almost at the end of summer. It’s hard to believe that we could have snow in a month when the garden is just starting to really get growing!

The garden loved the heat wave that we recently had! The heat plus some water, compost and garden lime have given the garden new life.

It’s only September 6th and I’m worried about frost tonight. There’s a cold front coming through and they’re talking about temps in the 30s tonight. But then we’re going to be in the 80s again next week.

I added some compost to my mulch, and then I’m using it as a mulch. I’m hoping that will help these plants a little bit. They’ve had a lot of pressure from crazy weather, bugs, and diseases.

Things are so weird out in the garden. This week it’s the slugs. They’re everywhere!

Things were a mess in early August. I think it’s like this every year at the beginning of August and honestly it’s even a little embarrassing when it looks like bad. But things are coming along and looking better already.

I knew something was eating my tomatoes up and finally found them. Slippery slimy SLUGS 😡. They are having a feast out there. Their favorite tomatoes seem to be the Hungarian Paste.

Out at night looking for tomato hornworms. I wish there was a brighter way to do it but my blue light isn’t very bright. I forgot to mention that you can find them on Amazon for around $12. They’re so worth it to help find hornworms!!
