    May seem like a silly question but do I water it in for grub. The bottle says to do so after application but I’m not sure how soon after

    • @thegrassgardener

      @alyecerodgers4186 that’s a good question, anyway if you look on the side of the bottle you will see an option for just water so you can just slide the red button to the water option after application.

    Peace Brother, I suggest that you smoke that whole yard, dethatch, aerate, grade and reseed the entire area. Get yourself some great TTTF cultivars and start new. You would have to dig something like 3 - 4 inches down and about 3-4 feet on all sides of where the Bermuda grass is growing. Her roots grow deep and spread. Save yourself the time and energy. Hopefully you can establish a new thick healthy TTTF lawn, which ca crowd out the Bermuda. Good luck

    When you come out early in the morning to your backyard is there heavy dew on the ground ? Could the Bermuda be hanging on because of the heat and moisture still ? You don’t wanna burn it down and start over ?

    • @thegrassgardener
      @thegrassgardener 19 днів тому

      @YardCareMindset depending on the day there are times that I see heavy dew on the ground in the morning at the same time this is the season Bermuda thrives so I’m not too surprised. As far as burning it down I can, but I figured since it’s such a small area in my lawn I can just control it with the two herbicides I used in the video.

    For the last 3 or 4 yearly growing seasons here in Maine there has been a practice to apply baking soda mixed in a watering can. It started out a tablespoon per gallon applied 2 or 3 times a season, though now routinely, a quarter tablespoon is thrown in the 2.5 gallon watering can. Haven't detected any problems yet, though can notice the plants becoming greener and going to keep doing it.

    I've used those in the past prior to reseeding and the straps also popped off multiple times for me. It's a hard balance between making sure the lawn is moist enough to allow the tines to penetrate, but not too wet so that they become harder to pull out. The straps break when the latter occurs. It's kind of annoying, but ultimately gets the job done and for much cheaper than paying someone to use a core aerator. I'd say that the spike aerators are a good product if you have a small lawn e.g. 40 ft x 20 ft or similar.
