UP
MR.H ?
Mr H???
MF. HH 🎉
when did 'foreign film' become a sub-genre? 🤦♂
I have only seen 3 of the 10 mentioned. To sum it up. I got 7 new movies to check out. Thank you good sir. I’m gonna toss a recommendation myself. “Love Exposure” by Sion Sono. A four hour long masterpiece.
Woah! That is quite the commitment, I’ll have to look into it!
For most of us, American films are foreign :)
Haha I thought about this myself! Either way, hope some of these movies seem interesting to check out!
@@FigureOutFilms I've seen about half of these, good picks, I like how varied they are!
Great selection..Shockwave rulez
People like myself are buying VCR players for 50 dollars off eBay and Amazon and New vhs movies for 10 dollars starting buying everything else off eBay and Amazon now days everything proven no more getting out of the house now days do it off your phone now days
Are you by chance the kid who married Mary Kay Letourneau?
I love his films because to me, theyre sort of like junk food. Grimy, grungey, unapologetically corny. The characters can be obnoxious at times, but other characters shine i think. Richard Break is one of my all time favorite actors, he killed it as Doomhead. And the fella who played Sickhead was a delight to watch. Along with Sid Haig and so many others in his films, Rob Zombie has an eye for talent to be sure.
If he didn't make everyone so unlikeable, id probably like his movies a little more. In Halloween 1&2, besides the sheriff the only person I liked was Dr. Loomis...
"She's not that bad of an actress...." LOL. She's a horrible actress. He's a sh*tty filmmaker. Decent, fun musician....sh*tty filmmaker.
I actually do really like 31. I didn't care for it the first time I watched it. The best will always be House Of 1000 Corpses
Rob zombie makes great movies in my opinion
Hell ya
Gotta disagree about RZs Halloween being better than the TCM remake, his wife is hot and all but she's no Jessica Biel and the story is just way better in TCM imo All in all good list though, subbed
Hahaha you make a solid point there! I do like that remake TCM too tho! Appreciate it!
Rob zombie is a legend! Great ranking bro
Appreciate it! Yes, I need more
Great vid! I look forward to your next take. One note, maybe turn the music down just a bit? It's kinda hard to hear over. Other than that, keep it up man!
Appreciate it!! Thanks for the suggestion, actually really helps!
one of my all time fav's house of 1000 c! great vid!
Yes!! My life changed for the better once I stumbled upon it at family video!
Props brother !
31 is the worst fucking movie ive seen
You need to watch more movies then, it's really not that bad lol
lol oh buddy I can put you onto wayyyyyy worse movies than 31. Actually not a bad video idea.
where's the list guy at, not really for yaponology
Did not expect the Munsters lol, but I guess I can give it a watch.... Good video
Thanks! Yes, god I love it. It’s such a visual treat and goes for the camp hard!
unrated halloween is better, the reason the home copy comes with that is because that’s how he wanted people to see it. he didn’t like the theatrical cut
Hmm not sure I’ve heard that, but I know he felt and said that for Halloween 2! That theatrical got striped down heavy for H2. I think Halloween 1 TC works better is it hits just as hard as the UR and the omission of the SA scene that’s just unnecessary and unnerving. Even for a RZ movie to me.
Just because rob prefers that one doesn't make it better. Halloween 1 unrated has a pointless rape scene and unnecessary shots and dialogue. Halloween 2 made Laurie unlikeable, also had unnecessary dialogue, Loomis death was very underwhelming and Michael talking was ridiculous. They theatrical version is far superior
Wow, I’ve never even seen someone say they like 2! Interesting take
Yea! At such a young age it made such an impact! No bad things to say about it
Nice list Here’s my list: 7: Cult of Chucky 6: Seed of Chucky 5: Child’s play 3 4: Child’s play 3 3: Curse of chucky 2: Bride of Chucky 1: Child’s play W List?
Me like Pokémon 1000000 times yes
You do realize that the scenes that you showed during your #2 pick of Return of the Living Dead is actually scenes from Return of the Living Dead 2 movie and not from the original with the Tarman, right? lol
I know, but I thought it was a funny scene that captures the films well. But good point out
For me, Dawn of the Dead is one of my favorite zombie flick of 1978. Along with the Day of the Dead is one of my favorite zombie flick of 1985, such as between The Return of the Living Dead and Re-Animator.
Oooh! Speaking of Re-Animator! I plan on watching its sequels finally this month!
@FigureOutFilms I watched it on Tubi. But I have good news for you, R.L. Stine's Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls, 10th Anniversary Edition is coming out on Blu-ray/DVD combo pack and VHS for next Halloween by Terror Vision Home Video!
Good list - personally I would put both "Dawn of The Dead" in my list, though I agree that the second one is better. There is plenty of back story for the "strong female lead" which is lacking in "Day of the Dead" for example.
Good point, however I feel the 3rd installment having 3 main characters working together to survive is a nice touch and change to the formula.
My top 5 in order: 1981, 1982, 1980, 1984, 1988. One small correction regarding the bag over Jason’s head: I asked Steve Dash about that in 2005 at a convention and he said it was a pillow case :)
I've acquired a big old vhs and dVD collection from my O.C.D uncle, I think I might have some gems in here from some research. But not really sure what to do with these But any collectibles are cool now.I have v h s and dvds sports card And Wrestling figures and et cetera
where do u purchase and buy your batman figures
Sideshow, and I went to Taiwan and found some!
@@FigureOutFilms ok thank u
Also eBay, fb groups!
@@FigureOutFilms ive check but it doesnt show price
Oh! Definitely beware of scammers
So another top 10 by someone with no indepth knowledge of the subject titled to just get people to rage post.... OK. I'll bite. In no order, White Zombie 1932, Tombs of the Blind Dead 1971, Zombie Lake 1981, Zombie Nightmare 1987, Wiseguys Vs Zombies 2003, Dead Alive 1992, Shaun of the Dead 2004. There's a nice sampling of straight horror, horror comedy, so bad it's good films... But number one might come as a surprise to some people, because it's not as well known, but the BEST in so many ways, One Cut of the Dead 2017 from Japan. It's a film in 3 parts, but you have to watch the first two to understand the 3rd. It's the ONLY film that has ever had me cheering at the end. SEE ONE CUT OF THE DEAD. Everyone.
I’ve heard so much about one cut of the dead, but just never got to it. I saw White Zombie, and I walked with a zombie, but the concept of a magic mind controller having the zombies do their bidding for a woman just never appeals to me. The acting is good, and they all have STRONG starts, but have a snooze middle act I find. I feel Plague of the Zombies balanced those things well, which is why it’s in my list. Thanks for the recs, hope to see you on the comments again!
child’s 2, curse of chucky and the original are my top 3
The thing with New Nightmare is it isn't a slasher movie not really. It has slasher elements but kills and dream sequences werent the focus like the other Freddy movies because it wasn't aiming itself at a teen audience. New Nightmare wanted to be a horror flick for an older audience for fans who grew up with the series but are older now. Really part 7 is a meta Horror flick about the franchise itself it was really meant to end the series but also be a meta commentary on the franchise. The themes and ideas of can an actor ever truly escape an iconic role that he or she becomes known for? Thats why the Freddy demon in the movie only sees Heather as her character Nancy and of course the idea is that Horror movies trap evil within them and are good outlets for fear and when you stop them from being made the evil is set free. Basically Wes Craven was doing a commentary about the fact New Line had watered the series down to make it an easier sell to the teen market and that is what killed the series. Little fact Wes Craven actually wrote a script for Nightmare on Elm Street 4 that was about time travel through dreams how the kids learned how to use the dreams to time travel but the studio thought the concept was to high caliber for a slasher series and that fans of the series wouldn't fet it or understand it lol. Basically saying fans would he to dumb to get the high concept. Surprising to see Freddy's Revenge at number 1 I don't hate the film but I can see why some do hate it as for better or worse the movie doesn't really feel like a sequel to the first Nightmare movie it really feels like it's own thing. Freddy's Revenge feels like a random horror possession movie that just happens to have Freddy in the film as the villian I think if you love the first you will probally not like 2 because it really feels like it's own thing and not a proper sequel to the first. For me I'm more in the middle I appreciate that Freddy is still scary but I do think the plot has a lot of wholes and losing the dream kill aspect for a possession angle isn't as interesting to me but it had some good moments the acting is fine it was alright. I do think the series rebounded with Dream Warriors. As for the rest of the series Dream Child is a decent time killer for me as I like Lisa Wilcox Alice character and it has some good gothick type visuals but the gothic classic horror tone feels out of place in a slasher series aimed at teens to me. Dream Master is a really fun pure 80s movie not great but a really good time with a kick ass Rock soundtrack it was the Freddy movie teens wanted at the time. Freddy's Dead is a dumb movie and the worst written of the series but if you can embrace the fact Freddy was no longer scary at the time and just accept the flick for what it is then it can be a good dumb B movie time.
I really do appreciate this comment and the thoughts on this movie. I KNEW I was cooked when I didn’t mesh with this movie on my viewing. I like to hear how others engage with movies I see!
As soon as I saw you didn't include Shaun Of The Dead in your Top 10 I stopped watching. Not including SOTD in any Zombie Top 10 shows a complete lack of credibility.
It was honorable, it used to be, but others have moved it past. I will say, the GORE is underrated as hell.
Have you seen the remake of Night of The Living Dead? Please check out this Tom Savini directed underated hem! Like Dawn Of The Dead and its remake, both are amazing.
I’ve been meaning to for a long time, but never get to it. Maybe that should change this month! Check my letterboxd in the next few days 🤫😄👀
Check out the Hughes bros film The Dead (2010) and The Dead 2: India. They're really underrated B movies that execute the zombie genre really well.
DUDE! Almost actually mentioned the DEAD. A tad bit of a let down because the potential is soooo there! I’ve never met anyone else who’s seen that! Never got around to India, but will be this month now. I always thought The Dead’s poster was so cool.
@@FigureOutFilms right on! A shame about you being let down but it's a film that deserves more eyes on it. I randomly checked it with low expectations and have been trying to get as many people to watch it since. Best depiction of the relentless dead and the constant battle of survival (radiator scene stands out). I even got to have a brief chat with Rob Freeman about the film.
That’s always SO COOL! Talking to those involved makes this hobby so surreal sometimes. I get goosebumps to when I meant Jack Sholder to talk Nightmare 2. The Dead will be revisited
Valley of death zombie trailer park at Amazon has it all. Combination 28 days rabid living zombies that can be killed in multiple ways but very shortly thereafter reanimate as undead zombies. Theres a trailerpark full of undead. An old marijuana growing hermit, meth amphetamine cooks, a retired colonel and the hero drains septic tanks for a living. Plus its very fun.
👀👀👀
Okay commenting again but 28 days/weeks later WERE my fav. I still put it in my top zombie movies with REC. (spanish version) but honestly I tried re-watching both 28 days/weeks and I couldn't make it through them.
Yeaaaaaa I was the same, it pains me to say that they don’t age as well as a lot on the list. I’m kinda of a Weeks defender, but it’s soooo bleak lol 😂 REC is climbing to top 5 status over another rewatch. Check out the sequel on Tubi!
Dude, awesome video! Am subbing.
Appreciate it! 😄
Instant like and sub, dude! Awesome list. Really love REC, it's terrifying! Fulci's City Of The Living Dead is an absolute cult classic gore masterpiece imo but it's not everyone's taste I've noticed lmao. Resident Evil and 28 Days Later very enjoyable.. Return Of The Living Dead is hilarious fun, love it! It's a horror classic! I love Romero's zombie flicks. Snyder is enjoyable at times, not any day 😄 Day is really strong, kinda like Dawn a Lil better somehow script wise but the zombies in Day are insane, really well done by Savini...his peak with zombie look and gore, I find..
Thanks for the sub! Hope to hear more thoughts! I’m sure you can tell, my taste for the sub genre is bit all over. I’d love another Found Footage/Pov Zombie movie.
No way 28 days later isn't top tier. Movie has the most likely outcome for how "zombies" would happen.
😳😳😳 maybe, I think 28 weeks later might actually be a better movie. The film style HURTS days I think a bit eh?
@@FigureOutFilms definitely had a bigger budget but I still defend the OG, the style in which the movie was shot hasn't bothered me too much, but I haven't seen it for a couple years. I plan to revisit it. Maybe now I will see what you are saying.
I will say, CASTING in Days is top notch. In form Brendon Gleason.
@@FigureOutFilms agree, his death was tragic for me. I don't think they could have cast it any better. But, why do you have such an issue with the way it looks?
@akikopowderkeg1714 it hurts on rewatch, it’s technically ugly, but I understand boyles reasoning for it. Not really my thing.
