Welcome to My Simple Life in America. My name is April Greer and this channel is dedicated to my family's efforts to live a simple meaningful life. I live in the foothills of East Tennessee with my sons and my mother. I find value in the simplicity of our ancestors' lives. We raise chickens, ducks, and sheep. I shear my sheep and process their wool into yarn to knit and weave. We wash our clothes with an antique wringer washer, garden, cook over an open fire, build the buildings we need using old school tools and methods, I am a basket weaver and chair caner. I also do a good deal of woodworking in my shop. We are currently working on a solar system and are striving to go off-grid.
