    Main thing is to check the color of the lymph nodes. Hogs carry disease & the lymph nodes will let ya know if the meat is safe to eat or not.

    I figured out a long time ago. Deer live sweet feed. We had a molasses barrel lick for cattle ya"ll know the one with the wheel in it that cows would lick the wheel it'd turn and have molasses all over it. Well I got to noticing that the deer ikked it alit also. So one day I got a bag of sweet feed off the pallet and carried it out into the woods dumped it on a trail. Maim the wildlife couldn't resist it. So I carried more pretty soon the ground was so tore up and I'll swear they must have also eaten 8" inches of dirt with it. That was back in 1981 I've been using ever since. And whenever I set up a new place to hunt I saturate it with sweet feed and corn near a new feeder.

    How big is too big to eat? I know that they all need to go since they cause so much damage, but I have heard that the monsters are just not good to eat.

      The room and furniture were fine, but maybe a little outdated. When we were visiting, I believe they were updating one side of the resort.

    How well does this hold up to other critters like raccoons and possums?

    • @redriverliving
      @redriverliving 7 днів тому

      We staked ours down with 12 in garden staples and that helped keep smaller animals away but they could chew through it if they wanted too. In our area, that was never an issue for us and we do have Raccoons and possums!

    Awesome, I’ve been there( you stayed in) in two years back to back. It’s absolutely beautiful, the food was perfecto👌🏽, the entire resort was clean and very friendly staff. I’m glad to see that hasn’t changed over the years. We also did some site seeing to the Mayan temples in Chichen Itza, Yucatán. This is one place I would definitely like to revisit.

    I used the Hortinova trellis for cucumbers and sugar snaps this year too, it worked really well! I used strings of taught poly twine, that I normally use for Florida weave on tomatoes, strung along the tops of the T posts to help reduce sag in the centre.

    Great video!!!! My question would be... can you somehow connect irrigation flanges on the rear of the trailor and allow the water to flow out the back of the trailor?

    • @redriverliving
      @redriverliving 7 днів тому

      Absolutely, that could be easily done and wouldn’t need the pump. You could just let it be gravity fed to your rear of the trailer. Thank a for watching!

    How do you prevent your well from running dry if water usage is more than your well can replenish your storage tank? I need to add a storage tank but concerned with running my well dry prior to making pump shut off float switch in storage tank

    • @Caden-e1h
      @Caden-e1h 6 днів тому

      Add a pump saver to the wiring circuit. It will kill the pump when water level is low because it will draw more current if water is empty. Once tripped you can program the pump saver to kick on again In a hour or two…. And start pumping into holding tank again

    I think your check valve should go after the pump. I think before the pump can damage the pump. Just what i've read.

    Thank you for making this video and including this tip. My application is different but the results I think will be similar so I really appreciate it. I have been composting wood chips in a very tall pile for a year and a half. It was blended with manure and has made some very nice soil. I've deposited it in a checkerboard pattern in my pasture a half yard per pile. Following this process helped me keep the quantity fairly even. But of course there's a big gap between any four piles. I do have hog panels and dragging them behind the tractor will be very easy to do and I like the fact that it will eventually level those piles into one uniform thickness. Thank you again
