Observed 6 tornadoes near Spur and Jayton, Texas. The target evolved with time as we continued south on Hwy70 well ahead of a southward moving, stable outflow boundary across northwest Texas. Jenni Laflin and I observed a large, wedge tornado just south of Wayne, Nebraska. The tornado was rated an EF4 and produced significant damage to the rural area. This video was taken on a dash-mounted GoPro camera. Visit www.targetarea.net for more photos from the tornado outbreak.

Six ULM students, Scott Blair, Andy Tingler, Blake Michaleski, Chris Bannon, Derek Deroche, and Blair Scholl, intercepted Hurricane Lili at landfall in 2002. We transected between New Iberia to Abbyville. Peak measured winds from the anemometer were 79 mph.
