Yeah normally i really like lincoln but the longevity of this machine is dogs**** less then 100 working hours and the pcb burn out a $600 part on a 2k machine is absolutely ridiculous ... after replacing it 20 hours more and the front panel circuit board burned out which is $400 worst yet lincoln does not honor their warranty by hours but years owned meaning you catch the cost after throwing this machine in the trash i run an old sa200 now and an azzuno cheap Amazon welder ( it has 400 hours on it now and still burning) i paid $300 for it
Your speech is clear, well paced; your cursor movements are too rapid, spastic and poorly relate to your words. Following your tutorial would require multiple, annoying stops and restarts to figure what you're getting at.
The title of this video should be "Using the 210 MP welder very briefly." This ain't no review.
I dont think many beginner welders are dropping qlmost 3 grand for a welder
Apenas fui a la tienda y empleado me dijo que ese modelo será descontinuado porque salió el nuevo 215mp
is the fan always on?
remember befor SW was a POS and you used to be able to drive off of any sketch like 8 years ago.... then they got rid it..... now its back in 2022... I hate SW
Awesome!
I prefer the old mechanical switches, and heavier equipment. Those display screens and micro chips wont last very long. It all look's too fragile and feels like Chinese plastic.
Is there a way to reselect X or Y axes?
Damn! I want me one of those 210 MPs!
Did You get a nice arc burn on your bare arms there? 🤣
The way they did the tig on this unit is unbelievable 👎
how did you open up the y axis option? it is not letting me to adjust y axis pattern
have you been able to adjust the y axis? can you tell me how? having the same problem
@@sandrade850 below the tick box saying 'dimention y spacing' it will say the number 1- change this to something higher like 2,3,4 etc and it will allow you to open up the y axis option. hope this helps
Nice Omega Speedmaster. 👍
This is really a great design. Thank you for sharing your work💪👍
thanks Sven! and no problem. The files for download can be found at our website studiored.com !
I have one and I could hug it I love it so much. It’s a killer machine.
hi you have an amazing talent. would love to jump on a phone call with you.
Hi! you can reach out to us at studiored.com! Thanks
Man I can’t figure out how to use mine. 🤦🏼♂️ completely new to hobby wielding . I’ll need one of my welder buddies to walk me through.
my logi options setting not work in sw2018
Thanks! You might be served by using a lapel mic or speaking louder.
show work friend seems to me a very explanatory video despite the language
Good Information, But really, if you want to do these kind of videos Please figure out your Audio... The worse audio I've heard in a video like this. Step up your game....
Sorry, I had to stop the video when you said 7018 is usually run electrode negative. It is not. It is usually run electrode positive which is reverse polarity.
I agree with you it doesn’t really work with reverse polarity
Good info.
GET A MIC.
ua-cam.com/video/_PsNU_FP7yg/v-deo.html If I haven't missed anything here, then I'm pretty sure what you are saying here is not correct.. A "normal map" doesn't change the geometry of the mesh - it just reads the bouncing light in more directions (more accurate) compared to a bump map. A "displacement map" distorts the surface of the mesh, so this is the most "accurate" if you also want form changes to your mesh (better for bigger details).. A normal map does a really good job for smaller details though.
Only thing I don't like: it does not support 0.30 flux core, also the TIG connector should come installed from factory. Mine after 3-4 months of use, the 240 volt cable separated from the connector. Still works but you can see the three wires inside. Lincoln quickly sent me a replacement. Other than the flux core (0.30) issue, is a great machine. Update: the new Lincoln 215 MPi which is the replacement for this one, does comes with the TIG kit installed from the factory. Still, does not automatically runs 0.30 flux core wire, which is not a big deal after all.
I'd like to see how you set up the spool gun for aluminum
I have one and it has wire feed problems. Also, it does not weld sheet metal very well. I had a Miller Matic 135 for many years before this machine. I lost the Miller in a flood. Never had a problem with the Miller and it welded sheet metal great. I regret buying this machine.
What issues are you having with sheet metal?
He was the issue lol.
why my breaker keeps popping from the back of the welder?
Have you contacted Lincoln?
ER7018 is typically ran in DCEP Reverse polarity.
How much are these?
Around $1,500 aprox.
I have never welded before but I have to many ideas don’t even know how to set it up and your video gave me a big head start. Know my learning process will be easier
would reccomend take an intro to welding class
Hi experts I would like to weld aluminum square tubing 1 x 36-inch, would this machine capable of doing so? Also can I plug this in a regular wall plug at my house ? Do I need to plug it in the gas tank argon etc ? Very newbie at this stuff. Thank you
I believe you will need argon plus the spool gun.
@@jvazquez53 thank you sir
Great review. Wondering if you can describe the construction of your welding table. What's on the top? Thanks.
Thanks! We bought the table over 25 years ago! So as to it's construction... not sure but it's made of a painted metal top and iron legs. We used it as a routing table in the past and the hole in the center allows for pass through. Hope that helps
This was a very helpful review. The 210 seems like a nice compact machine with good functionality. Thank you.
I bought one when they first hit the market. I’ve been very pleased with all aspects of its operation. The auto set is very close on its settings. I would think it would be great for new welders to learn with
Great review!
What wireless charger do I need for this ?
Very cool, I'm planning to do a similar thing for my hand grinder. Could you share what motor was used? Its rated torque or some name I could look for? Thanks!
Hi! Thanks for watching the video. Unfortunately we don't have a part number for this gear motor, it's something we found leftover in the shop.
@@StudioRedDesign any specs on the motor? How many Kgcm of force?
Where can I buy one??
Please send us an email at red@studiored.com We'll be happy to send over information on how to purchase.
Waiting for the audio test...
thanks for watching hope you have a great day.
Ha ha, I see what you did there.
In actuallity, the hand sketched and scanned JPEGs were imported onto the SolidWorks sketch-planes and traced over in CAD to create the main external forms. These Adobe Illustrator files (00:06) were generated from that SolidWorks Drawing file for the purpose of making UI (user interaction/interface) details quickly, accurately and to scale. This was mostly for the controls around the complex squircle shape (created in Ai) and the 7-segment clock display font, both of which are easier to manipulate in Illustrator. An experience designer will notice that when I did a Select-all (CTRL + A at 00:28) the illustration is created with short disjointed line segments (an artifact of a SoidWorks export to PDF) instead of perfectly smooth vector splines with minimal vertices. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for editing and posting this! Allen Wilson (the industrial designer piloting the video)
Hi, can you please explain how did you manage to have such a clear time lapse ? (without the plate going down each time), what interval did you choose ? Thanks :)
Hi Ka! We set the camera to take a photo every minute and then manually extracted the miss-stepped ones where the plate is going down, then we brought the images into Adobe Premiere to create the time lapse. Sorry for not responding sooner. Thanks for the question :)
@@StudioRedDesign That sounds like a lot of pain =/
@@fzigunov It's been done before with a trigger (actual switch) that takes a photo at some point per layer.
