1992 Upper Deck Baseball Box - FIND THE WILLIAMS
Ron Gant was supremely underrated. And Calvin Shiraldi fucked up the 1986 WS, a true legend.
Gant had ok numbers. Did make the all star game twice. Didn’t realize until I did some research, Shiraldi was losing pitcher of Games 6 and 7. But yet everyone remember Buckner, amazing.
I have 3 box full of old baseballl cards. Do you know of the best way to find out if any are on market or an app that scans them ?
All depends on years and player. Most of the stuff I open on my channel doesn’t have much monetary value, just sentimental value. I’d say do some research on what things sell for on eBay.
I love the vintage Leaf packs, but I always thought Frank Thomas was a dick, especially on his Negenix commercials
Stellar opening!
New sub here 👍 I lost my mind when these 90 Leaf came out as a kid
Welcome to the channel! This box was a lot of fun to open, especially because I never opened these as a kid. I can’t wait to pick up a series 1 box. Thanks for watching.
Elite cards are still not worth the chase. They use to put the cases in an xray machine and could tell if the elite cards were in there
I’ve heard that X-ray story before, still find it interesting. You are right, for what I’ve paid for boxes through the years, I could have the complete set and Sandberg auto by now. But the chase is so much fun!!! Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!
Classic white borders, bring out my transparent ruler, mm on one side and 32nd of inch on other. Is the card "centered" pretty sure I can tell🎉 🎉🎉
😂😂😂 yes that’s how it goes - hilarious!
The 'Hell" with getting an Elite. Go for the Ryne Sandberg (5000) Signature Series card🎉🎉🎉
I’ll take anything at this point. But yes, I’d love a Sandberg auto!
New appreciation for '90 Leaf, clean card! Nice pulls of the rookies. Another gem of a video my friend!
Again, lots of fun to open. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Nice rip bud. 👍 Thanks for sharing 👊
I talk to myself, even I need expert advice sometimes 🎉🎉🎉
Ha ha ha, I like that I’m gonna have to use that sometimes.
We're there Silver Sluggers in the high number boxes? 🎉🎉🎉
I believe those were inserted in the jumbo boxes.
Good pull of HoF'ers. Yep, opening up old UD will make ya crazy, haha! Another great rip and video my friend!
Thank you, thank you, as always, I appreciate it!!
Man that Henderson brought back memories. I paid $6 for that card back in the late 80s. Sadly, my home was broken into by crackheads in the early 2000s and they stole the container with all my best cards. I had a 90 Bowman Piazza rookie card. The Upper Deck Griffey rookie, Joe Montana and Jerry Rice rookies, Robin Yount rookie, some old Nolan Ryans. I had a topps Gold Derek Jeter rookie. I had literally thousands of cards from the 70s, 80s, and 90s stolen. No telling what they'd be worth today. Basically, my whole collection was gone. The morons who did it got caught when they tried to sell my collection to a pawn shop. The pawn shop wouldn't give them anything for it, so they said they threw them all in a dumpster. I never got them back. I had tons of unopened packs in their as well. After that, I gave up. 25 years of collecting down the drain. I haven't bought a card since.
Oh man that is terrible. You should try to get started again, even if it’s one card at a time. Go for the nostalgic cards.
@ninth-inning I'd like to start again. I don't think I'll ever get over the heartbreak of losing my collection. I watched a few other card videos today. It really kinda brought back the itch. I have so many memories of putting sets together. The first sets I put together were the 87 and 90 topps sets. I'll never forget the birthday I had where my grandmother bought me a crate of old cards. She got it from one of her friends whose husband died, it belonged to him. I got old Nolan Ryans(my all-time favorite pitcher), Robin Yount rookie, and many great cards going back as far as the early 60s that are probably worth a small fortune today. The theives also took my comic books and a Gibson Explorer and Marshall amp worth well over $10k today. I remember telling the cops that nothing could ever make me whole if I didn't get those cards back. They just didn't seem to get it. I remember going to the video store every month to pick up the monthly issue of Beckett so I'd know how much all my cards were worth so I wouldn't get ripped off in trades at school. The older guys would always try to rip you off. Cards were a huge part of my childhood. I think I'd really like to start again.
@TheNewRevolution You can’t get your cards back, but you can get that joy that collecting brings.
Cards are art. They should grade the front and corners & surface on the back. Who cares if stats on back are off centered. If Mona Lisa had brush strokes on the back, who'd know
Ha - that’s one way to look at it.
For a few years that Mike Greenwell (now common) rc was once a $10 card.
That’s like these modern RC’s that go for $100…in the future they’ll be commons.
Elite card, PSA, Pretty Soon, Anyday (now)
Haha we’ll keep trying
Who is your favorite player from the 80's?
I was 11 years old and my first game was at Yankees Stadium against the Twins. I’d say from that point on I was a Mattingly fan. I know it’s late 80’s, but that’s when I really got into it.
I almost bought one of these the other day. I think I'm gonna go back to the store to buy it.
@@samuelmoyerman1423 Hope you can find a Bo Jackson. Let me know.
Great rip...awesome Bonds score. Lots of HoF'ers! Nice Cardinals too! Another enjoyable watch my friend!
Thanks! A little bummed I didn’t find a Bo or Maddux. But yes, nice box nonetheless. As always, thanks for watching and commenting.
18:00 Huge fan of #31 growing up, it's not surprising to hear what a solid dude he is. I suspect that as long as you don't look like Steinbrenner, he's cool.
@@jimfree0 Steinbrenner had a hard time holding onto managers in his early years.
i love this set
It is a great set, loaded with rookies. Thanks for watching!
Nice returns!
Thanks for watching!
Great set, enjoyed the rip. Wouldn't it be a hoot if the Donnie Baseball is in the Strawberry pack, haha. Great lookin' Cardinals too! Awesome video my friend!
That would be amazing! This will be a mystery that remains unsolved. Thank you!!
lol based on the title I thought you were opening one with Strawberry on top 😀
Great cards. The Sandberg were fire. The Mantle with crayon will be altered/color added for sure unfortunately.
Thanks! I guess I should’ve checked that box to have it slabbed as authentic.
@@ninth-inning Next time!
Dot after inc....you're a moron
How much did the 4 packs run you? Have you ever got any of your finds graded?
@@momoneyinc I picked up the packs for 46. I’ve thought about putting a video like that together. Stay tuned. And as always, thanks for watching!
Wow you had some nice HOF's and the Mattingly RC to boot!!!!
@@momoneyinc oh yeah, I was very happy with these packs!!
Damn, I was hoping for pack 17, keep going bud🎉🎉🎉
@@glencorbett3229 would’ve been pretty amazing. On to day 18!
Great pull!!
Couldn’t believe it. Thanks for watching!
Congrats! Nice Mattingly! Really good cellos! Thanks for sharing!!!
Yes! I was so stoked to pull that. Thanks for watching.
congrats!
Just found your channel. Really enjoyed the video.
Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!
Awesome cards! Great order!
Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!
'83 and '84 are two of my all time favorite sets, just great card design. Great rip, lots of HoF'ers and those Cardinals! Great video my friend! And the Donnie Baseball to boot!!!
Yes I was pleasantly surprised at all the great players pulled from these packs. As always, thanks for watching!
Sweet heaters bro! 🔥
Great reveal video! You definitely got robbed on that 68 mantle grade. That looks way better than a 3.
I like to think so also, but I’m not a professional grader. Thanks for watching!
I deserved a 5!
Keep going!
Great setup and reveal!
@@timdeane131 thanks, I wanted to try something different.
Ooof~! Yeah that 69 Mick and 80 Hendo looked askew.
Yup, live and learn.
Very nice overall, that 83 sandberg is sweet
Yes, I’m very happy with both Sandberg cards.
Watched Jabbs open a case, took him til the 17th box to get Elite Henderson, hopefully you can do it in 17 packs! 🎉🎉🎉
If you’re talking about Jon “The Past is Alive” - great channel and content, I didn’t see the full video, but did catch the short. That was an awesome pull. Maybe one day I find one. Thanks for watching!
Ur right, get confused sometimes 🤔
@@glencorbett3229 I’m subscribed to both, they are great to watch.
I wish they still came with gum. I'm 48 and stopped collecting when they stopped coming with gum. All Topps had to do was put parchment paper in between the gum and the card like they did in the 50's.
That would be a simple solution.
I'm not positive but I think that the Elite card replaces the puzzle piece.
Hopefully I can pull one and we’ll find out. Thanks for watching!
When you find a dark spot on the back of the card next to the wax paper, that’s melted wax, usually from a hair dryer. Searching trick. Eckersly was the replacement card.
Thanks for the info.
Great opening period keep up the good work and I hope you get better. If you get any more of those I would love the Ozzie Smith products from that year
Thank you! I am feeling much better. I have some 84 topps coming in. I’ll be opening those on my channel at some point. You can always reach out to me using the email linked on my page. Thanks again.
'95 UD SP really a good looking set, vibrant colors. UD really had some great photography. Oh...I blame you for my buying of '88 Fleer complete set this past weekend at card show, lol. And, as usual, nice Cardinals!
That’s awesome!!! 88 Fleer is a great looking set with tons of HOF’er, oh, and lots of Cardinals. Enjoy and as always, thanks for watching!
So in 1991 , my older brothers friend was showing me his baseball cards and he had a Will Clark pro vision. Out of fleer. At the time he was my favorite baseball player. I begged him for the card I wanted it so bad . Fast forward a couple days. It was my birthday. There was this ice cream truck called Cinties. And he sold 1991 donruss for 50 cents apiece. So I took a dollar of my bday money and bought 2 packs. And would you believe it , I pulled the Nolan Ryan ledgend card. Unfortunately I had no idea what it was . I showed my brothers friend. And he said hey I'll trade you the Will Clark provision. I was so happy. And made the trade, not knowing what I had. I remember looking at the serial number and didnt know what it meant. I even showed my dad it when I pulled it. He said I should hold on to it. He diddnt know anything about the card either a few months go by and by this time I started buying baseball Beckett. I happened to look at the end of the listings , and there I found out how much that Ryan ledgend card was. I was pissed. Told my dad and brother. And back then it was a oh well, what can I do. He said he traded it for a Jordan rc baseball card. I always think about that card, and how lucky I was to own it for 2 days. I got my buddy into buying from the ocean cream man to. And I shit you not , he ended up pulling the Sandberg auto. He never protected it though and it was in rough shape. I would always see it just sitting on top of his dresser when I would go over and play Mario and duck hunt. Love your channel bro. Love the nostalgia.
What are the elite cards in this series? Curious to know their value. New to card collecting, thanks!
Welcome to the hobby! I put the list of players in the description, there’s a total of 10 cards. Thanks for watching!
Not into sports nor sports cards but what do these old packs go for if you were to buy a couple?
You could buy a whole 36 pack box of this for about $20-25.
