but this is a movie not an episode
A hard decision to make. Understanding where others...
0:01 hey Baxter, this is Dave Seville.
❤❤❤❤
♥️✝️♥️
The end credits song……… so good terere obande. Your welcome to those who r curious
It's hard to find dis kind f love , it feels stronger than anything, wish if dey wud hv kissed once
I love that they didn’t kiss. Neither of them would be ready for a romantic connection; Tobin is still mourning his wife and Silvia her entire country along with Ajene, her brother etc .. in this moment, they just understand each other and that is enough
A perfect example of chaste romance
1:06 “cheesy bylaw” 🧀📝 I can never unhear it and now you can’t either. Sorry.. didn’t want to suffer alone🙈
Favorite scene
You will remember copyright laws.
Eight other people... who understand.
There's something captivating about two individuals who's are attracted towards each other but they never really do or they don't get to express the feelings at least at the end. I felt the same with dead man down, Vanilla Sky and many others i can't remember. When a movie is successfuly able to get you to root for them to get together but it never does there's a brilliance to it i don't know why.
It's fricken great. I love this movie. The relationship is just so wonderfully done. It just feels realistic. It's not like they'd be jumping into bed with each other in such a stressful situation but it leaves open the idea that they might one day. And the dialogue in this scene! He does the "naming the dead" thing that she's always been against, and then she gives him the "close enough" after always being such a hardass about accurate interpretation. The characters are so complete. This is how you do it.
Sería mejor doblada en español
Cute?!? YES INDEEED But ADD 🥰🥰🥰MGGGZ Nic💝le Kidman is Bey💝nd AWES💝💝💝H♥️ME !!! I just wish she had pronounced the "CAN'T" word as "CARN'T" as South African/African people do (I was born and raised in RSA - S💝UTH Africa) along with the word "DANCE" which is "DARNCE" Etc ... 😇😇😇🤓🤓🤓🤣🤣🤣🥰🥰🥰😇😇 🌝🌛🌜😎🔥💥🔥🙏🙏🙏🏵️🌸🌺🌻 🌹🌹🌹🌻🌬️🌊🌀🌈🌈🌈💫🌠💫🌖 🌕🌖🕊️🦜🕊️🦅🦅🦅🐾🦠🐛🦋🦋🦋😇😇😇 ❌✝️✝️✝️😇😇😇💝💝💝♥️♥️♥️💝💝💝😇😇😇✝️✝️✝️🅿️

It is hard to find a good interpreter.
Competition is hard in the interpretation business.

One of my favorite movies of all time. 😊
*Great movie!* Nicole's fantastic in it! Love how she did that accent!!! ❤💞💞 She's such a talented actress! Love her!😍😍❤
And Ku isn’t even a real language!
And you, "good" american people.!! When will you be judged for your crimes against humanity after you dropped bombs on Afghanistan, Irak, Libya, Syria, and other countries, murdering millions of civilians, women and children...!!!
Nonsense, as long as G.W.Bush won't be arrested himself for crimes against humanity. Stop always being good Americans against nasty everybody.
Sorry, but as long as G.W.Bush won't be arrested himself for crimes against humanity, that film is not convincing.
I love this film
Lol so he knows to speak English.
Vengeance is a lazy form of grief... 💕
Got caught off guard. Priceless.
does anyone know what Nicole Kidman says to Sean Penn at the end of the movie?
pat Prince, Diaz Since it is a made up language - per Sydney Pollack- constructed from many real african dialects - it would not be possible to interpret - so it could - most likely be discerned by common african expressions of sympathy & compassion expredded during the burying of the dead.
Amazing movie. To this day it's the kind of movie that if I remember, I can just lay down, relax and watch. Very few of these.
Nicole Kidman is so cute in this film
Italiano
Such a cute voice :)
I love this scene:)
C'è la versione in italiano???
agree.... he is so hot....
i agreed ...
thats right....
é nesta ultima cena do filme que ao fundo tem uma musica africana, lindissima, linda linda linda,eu queria saber o nome desta musica e não consigo achar, este filme é emocionante
I can't get over NICOLE KIDMAN'S Cuteness!
NICOLE KIDMAN is just amazing! :)) BEAUTIFUL , GORGEOUS, PERFECT! Plu, she pulled of that accent!!
Yes her accent is really beautiful!
@@nathanaelleofficial1863 That accent sounds very pretty but it doesn't actually sound like someone who grew up in Africa. Hugo Speer, playing her brother, does a bit of a better job in his scenes at the beginning. See something like ua-cam.com/video/zEr1LQ6pE0k/v-deo.html
Question, how can they, "send her back," they stated earlier in the film that she was actually born in America although she spent most of her life in Africa, she has dual citizenship. I don't think they can just deport a US citizen, oh well, I'll go with it but only because it's Sean Penn & Nicole Kidman.
^ After seven years of waiting, I am someone who has an answer for you. My best guess is that they want her stationed at a UN posting in Africa rather than at headquarters in New York City. But you are absolutely right, you cannot deport a US citizen, the two terms completely contradict one another.
@@rominn2184 I always thought of it as they revoked her US citizenship and declared her persona non grata to the United States, meaning she will have to be deported back to Matobo.
^ Mmm..no. They can't do that. The United Nations is international territory, not the United States. The incident which the movie is based around occurred at the UN. You cannot deport a US citizen, and I actually don't think she ever was one. UN diplomats and staff are on special visas to allow them to reside in the US for the time they work at the UN. However, one, she did not commit a crime on US soil. Two, she did not commit a crime, period. But to save face, it seems that the UN has just reassigned her. Of course, this is unexplained and is left up to our imaginations.
@@rominn2184 Yay, people are still talking about this movie! She actually is American, she was physically born in the USA so she has citizenship. She also has her Matobo citizenship via her father and her UK citizenship via her mother, so she is entitled to at least three passports. My impression was that yes, she was just reassigned by the UN, which has duty stations all over the world. The main thing about this is that the line "they're sending me back" is I think a drop-in. You don't see her say it and if you listen carefully on headphones you can hear the difference. They added it in post production. Same when she says "it's OK". The script to this movie has its flaws and there are a few places where they seem to have tried to fix it although I don't think these changes were that necessary.
@@rominn2184 Do you have details about the actual incident the film is based on?
@MillerMo10 maybe the story was just too "simple"? I like this movie too a lot and especially fell for the relationship between sean and nicole, and felt so pissed when in the end she "had" to return to africa and leave him behind. I just cant imagine tobin moving after him, visiting yes but moving, no.
@fancygirlie The Song name: Terere Obande (Ghost and the Darkness soundtrack) Nice song! I love it:)
My FAVORITE scene. =D
I love this movie, thankyou for posting, i love Nicole Kidmans acting and her as a person xx
I agree with you ClassicKrak83, all have a nice day and, i love Nicole Kidman. =)
