I have the same unit , paid around 900 with tax Can confirm, it will keep out a toddler, but to call it a safe of fire proof container is not even a possibility. Put a cordless flood light in it ,close the door in a dark room and you can see the light show through the door seals , on mine there was a 3 inch gap by the top hinge that had no seal . It's a container with a shit lock at best I know that when I got it it , but I'm a welder , It was somthing that was easy for me to fix . I put a turn dial lock on it , poured fire cement and reinforced all 6 sides.

13:34 Stack On and Cannon are the same safes. They're just different names. They're made by the same company in Mexico and imported into the U.S. as "Cannon" or "Stack On"

They are okay safes for what you spent, for something really nice you need to be in at over $2K.

I have similar wide body 75 min.. has been great. Paid $800 at TSupply on the big sale event. Rolled in house using 2x4's and 1" pvc pipe like a rolling conveyor belt. My shelf holders are metal. My door has no slack. Your average smash and grab crackhead is 95% the household thief. They wont get in it. I keep the cheap moisture wicks inside change every couple months. Probably 25k in guns not one spec of rust and it's in a basement. Definitely better than a oak cabinet with glass front screaming ball peen hammer and guns are gone in 5 min. My wife is home all day and she packs heat so the professional pry bar thief will get his day ruined..

I own that same Cannon safe and its cheap junk. The cheap digital lock failed in 1.5 years after buying brand new from Tractor Supply. Now a locksmith wants $800 to open it, the same price I paid for this 600 pound piece of junk. NEVER again.

That guy is ripping you off. My lock broke due to someone trying to break in and my locksmith only charged $100 total. $50 was just for a house call. Rest was labor.

If you didn't like it why did you buy it? Don't you look at stuff before you buy it? I got one just like it. I like the one I have

The one I previously looked at on the floor in the store did not appear to have these issues at first glance. I had to order it in. I did not inspect the unit until I got it home is when I took notice to all of its issues. If I wanted to mess with the Hassel of hauling it back I would of returned it. Thanks for your comment 👍

I'm not saying the quality should not or could not be better, but NO gun mass produced gun safe is configured to be air tight in ambient temperature. The tolerances can't be that tight my man. If they were you would only be able to open your safe one or two seasons a year. The Fire seal on the door comes from a chemical/material in the door that will react to the heat of an actual fire, expand, and seal the door. Think of it like the expanding foam insulation you can buy at a hardware store. It activates with heat and creates the air tight/fireproof seal.

i understand how the the fire seal works for sure. i how ever are unsure it can expand that that much to take up all the excessive play. hopefully i never have to find out. thanks for the comment.

@@theon-targetgunguy3036 Let's hope not! Back in the day I sold Liberty safes when I worked at a local gun retail/range. They came out and gave us a few demos. Supposedly that expanding seal with expand 2-3x what is required. Cannon, of course, is not Liberty but I bet they all use the same stuff for that task. Appreciate the video, I'm about to go pick up one of these safes myself!
