We visit the Bonnie Claire ghost town and mine in Nevada near Death Valley National Park. We were surprised to find the nearby House of Quotes where people leave messages and art work for others to enjoy.

@@campoutwestus So many of the locations have been destroyed by the pit mine companies over the last years. I have a book, Historical Towns Of The West, have driven to a number of site locations and nothing exists except for refilled pit’s, oddly enough the towns show on some A.A.A. Roadmaps.
1:44 this place would rent for $3000 a month here in San Francisco. 😉

@@NBZW we didn't see any in that spot, but we found them all at our next stop in the next episode 👍
@@OutWestUS My wife and I would buy a couple of 10# bags of carrots, spend the night in the shack closest to the brick structure and feed the burro’s. Spend a day or so then cross the alkali flats to Gerlach, spend the rest of the year cleaning the dust from the pickup.😉

Thanks for showing this! I live in lake County, and I drove through downtown Kelseyville a couple of weeks ago, and noticed that the old Norton Motors building had been redone into The lady Luck Garage. Mt Dodge truck was purchased at this very location back in Nov. of 2004. I'll have to stop in.
