Vintage is 20-99yrs old Retro is made mainly mid-century. I like to think of Retro being 50s - 80s because of the bright colors. Retro items usually burst with a color pop. We did something similar except used a yoga ball with a trash bag wrapped around it (so the ball is usable after the project). Just made the hole on top so we could deflate it. I think we did paper mache then painted resin instead of foam.
