This is my very first and likely last 'comment' on UA-cam; but the CC spectacle forced me so say my 10 cents worth of comments. Here goes: I don’t write comments regarding UA-cam videos, until Catlin Clark left for Europe. I remember years ago when a senior in an Ohio high school went directly into the NBA because he possessed so much talent. What I do not remember is the level of vitriol, petty jealousy, poor sportsmanship, downright overt league neglect in officiating games and overall animosity presently being thrown at Catlin Clark ever being shoved on to Lebron’s back (he would never have tolerated it anyway). I am not an avid or rabid sports fan; I like sports and catch highlights. I have watched the UA-cam condensed videos on CCs season and I cannot comprehend why nearly everyone who interacted with her from her WNBA entrance to her final game would go out of their way to slaughter THEIR cash cow. That is what CC was, the Cash Cow of the WNBA and they could not absorb her worth. Shame on them. They broke a cardinal rule (I so believe) in competitive sports. If you want to excel, then do everything in your power to be the best that you can be; better offense, better defense, better teamwork, whatever.: CREATE! Then let the chips fall as they will. You will have worked within a realm of positive energy, which, in itself, adds to your empowerment. But what did the entirety of the WNBA do, including management, players and even many online ‘influencers’ (what’s an ‘influencer’? Is their audience that malleable?)? They focused on COMPETING with her (a more stressful approach to excellence) and trying to win by defeating her, THEIR CASH COW. When they didn't succeed they resorted to ‘HATING’ CC. How dare this young, talented rookie outplay/outdisplay us after we expended all our sweat and energy just to toil in commercial mediocrity (sounds like The Prodigal Son story). Q: why weren't you able to do that before she came on the scene? What could you have done better to make the WNBA better before she came? She can’t have this, accomplish that, become a star that fast? It all comes down to pompous jealously which breeds hate. HATE robs you of your soul, and that recoils to deteriorate every aspect of your life. And now the Cash Cow is gone. I always recall the fierce 19th century battle between industrialists Andrew Carnegie, John D Rockefeller, Cornelius Vanderbilt and JP Morgan. They battled and competed fiercely. One can only imagine how much greater their accomplishments would have been if they helped each other succeed. It could have been, should have been, would have been monstrous. The WNBA is all negative karma and, now with her departure from such a corrosive environment, all they will be left with is their dry mouths with no saliva to lick and sooth their wounds. Bottom line: WNBA: you blew your biggest opportunity of a generation and maybe more. Good luck, you will need it.

It's called "The Caitlin Clark Effect". That became our own label as she played at Iowa. You can say bye bye to Angel. She's not doing anything to help herself as far as a career in the W. I will be shocked if she shows up next year. even if they might want. Paige Bueckers could be good for the W next year if she can stay injury free. Her injuries to both knees should have limited her ability but I never saw her wear a brace to either leg last year. I wish her the best, but Caitlin is the one putting butts in the seats, making money on merch, and taking viewership into the millions. You can thank Iowa for the gift of Caitlin Clark. She's been ballin since she was 5, and there's video on here thanks to her parents.
