Alright, I guess I'll try my hand at being the paragraph guy. I couldn't find the original post, so im just going to try and recall the video parts from memory. So basically, OPs sister shows up on his doorstep out of the blue and forces her way in. She tries to get OPs nephew to leave with her, but he refuses and laughs in her face. She refuses to leave so OP goes and gets his next door neighbor, who just happens to be a police officer. Shes removed from the premises, but a few months later OP gets hit with a court date, as his sister is trying to sue for custody. Her biggest argument being that she never abandoned him in the first place, she just wasnt ready to raise him yet. OP assumes this will be an easy case, but OPs nephew wants to make a video about their situation. It gets traction, and they're even invited to a tv show to talk about their situation (This part smells fishy, but I'm just telling it as I heard it). The court date rolls around, and the judge rules in favor of his sister, simply because shes the biological mother. OP is depressed for days, and the sister cuts contact with him. He sees online a few months later that shes started a go-fund-me to help raise money to take care of her son. And a month or so after that, it comes to light that these funds were being used to travel, while she left her son at home alone with nothing to eat. She was charged for neglect and misuse of donations or something like that, and OP was granted custody. OPs sister asks to see him, but he refuses, and he ends his post with an "am I the asshole for completely cutting her off?" To me, the story seems fake and full of holes. But ill let you guys decide.

You can raise your children how you want as long as you don’t put them in danger. Saying that you should be aware that even if you have the best intentions your child is not obligated to love or care for you when they get older. I think a balance is what is needed but it’s just my opinion.
