Bownet Weighted Base - Quick Folding
This video demonstrates the Weighted Base I have designed specifically for my 5 foot diameter bownet system. It is a quick folding, portable unit. It is fast to deploy and take down. It makes the bownet system much more versatile, enabling set up on hard or very soft surfaces where staking down is not possible or desired. Uses include, Trapping for Hawks, Falcons, and birds from the size of Starling to Red-tailed hawks. They are currently being used successfully to capture Owls, Hawks, and Falcons for Falconry. Also many bird species for Research, Capture and Relocation from Airports of Hawks and Owls including Snowy Owls captured on frozen ground in the winter.

Here's a short video of a blind that I designed and built for the Raptor Recourse Project, RRP. They will use it for live trapping and banding raptors. Education will be a primary theme here as students will be interned here and trained in ecology and research techniques.

Thanks for providing what appears to be a quality bow net. I just ordered that exact trap. Should be here tomorrow if roads aren't closed due to all the snow that's coming. Trying to recover my goshawk. I'll let you know how successful I am.

@@5029rahul pigeons are just wildlife. Humans like you are the pests. People cause literally billions times worse damage to the air, water, soil and all ecosystems on the planet. Please, don’t sound like a dumbass.
Whats the range
If no obstructions are in the way it is capable of 1 mile range. Range is reduced significantly with objects like trees or buildings in the way. Typically you will want to be able to see it when you trip it so clear line of sight is the norm.
