Are you able to swop out the track plate for other mounting options? ie take the bottom off and put a 45° T mount base ?
This is not something we offer, however you may be able to get something custom done by contacting the manufacturer directly. (Traxstech)

Hey Jack. Thanks for bringing that up. We actually did put 6” aluminum backer plates underneath the gunnel before the tracks were mounted. Unfortunately we were caught in the rain during filming so we didn’t get to show you that part
Make a video with large downrigger like 2106 by Scotty attached to those rails
I’m surprised you’re not adding backing. Under gunnels. Rod holders will be fine but I wouldn’t want my $1000 downrigger sit in the track without underside backing.
I have a 2023 Qwest E-class 824, due to customization it’s really an 826. The pen side panels go to the top of the top rail. Meaning the top rail only has 3 exposed sides, top, bottom, and outside. I’m not drilling holes so I’m looking for a rod holding system. The rail situation only applies to the stern two fishing positions/seats that are inside the pen. The other two fishing positions/seats are forward of the pen, on the bow deck. This is the only area I’m willing to mount a rod holding system. Any ideas or thoughts are welcome. Thank you for your question. Unfortunately at this time we do not have a mount that will clamp onto the pontoon rails as you have described them. We do have 7 other different mounting options so if you decide you are willing to drill some holes or make modifications to the boat we will be happy to help. Thx

Hi Brian. The spring tension is not adjustable however the secret to adjusting it is in the placement of your hand. There is a good UA-cam video of Traxstech’s owner (Jeff Miller ) demonstrating this exact thing. Search “Traxstech Tutorial Single Lift and Turn “ and you will find it. Hope that helps.
Can the RH1 spring be adjusted so it’s not so hard to adjust?

If I'm running the tx44 can I get the star board clip?
If you are referring to the lockjaw clip then the answer is yes. We sell the lockjaw clips separately to upgrade your boards or you can buy the TX 44 boards with the lockjaw clip already installed (tournament series).
