achhe porana chahate ho to note se bahar aa jao.. very bad explation... u dont tell why this type of mapping(f:[a,b]-->X) is considered for the defination of path connected? u dont draw any path from x to y.. u dont show f(t) is on the path between x to y; a<t<b. i.e no board work.. just reading..and reading.... the lecture u say doesnot help to visualise what actually happened.. i hate this type of note..this is available in any book for topology.. its true that it is helpful to that person,who know the topic but did not remember actual defination or forget proof step by step..they see this and recall according their own brain...
