All cabs in Toronto run on standard pump-gas. No propane or CNG here.

Do you know if the cab was CNG (natural gas)? They are putting out a lot of CNG cabs in SF and I'm very concerned about the potential for fire or worse ka boom!

The horn was still blaring even after the fire was out. The firefighter had to get under the hood and disconnect it (he did it while the car was still on fire, which meant it REALLY annoyed him) ;-) It leads me to believe the electricals didn't catch fire, so it must have been a fuel system problem.

Is that the car horn in the background? As a cab driver I'll say you can always depend that a taxicab's horn will work if nothing else!! hehe

I think that taxi had an overheating problem. Someone should call the cops and report a hot car. That whole car heating system backfired.

Ya, you could tell they knew there was no danger. I had to explain to my wife that cars only blow up in the movies because they are packed full of TNT. ;-)
