I can’t be the only one who absolutely ADORES the scenes of the dromaeosaurid (possibly Dakotaraptor) hunting the Thescelosaurus? The sound effects of the raptor, the music, the real splashes, the squawk at the end, it’s all just so PERFECT!

I remember I used to have it on DVD, but the discovery channel version of it. It was actually Dinosaurs face off.

Death of a Dynasty had a sort of tragic 'Full Circle' vibe to it. In New Blood, we saw that every creature in the Triassic were struggling against the harsh conditions _except_ for Dinosaurs, foreshadowing their destiny to rise to the rulers of the Earth. But in Death of a Dynasty, the dinosaurs fill the role of the struggling creatures unable to adapt to their environment, and the mammals thrive in their shadow, ready to take their place.
