The Weekend Videographer
Australia
Приєднався 29 вер 2013
The Weekend Videographer documents family life and vacations while rocking a camcorder and bag full of vintage lenses. I graduated from phone video and photos in 2023 after a trip to New Zealand where I discovered the limitations of ultra small sensors. Unfortunately I discovered the world of vintage lenses on mirrorless cameras and the convenience of a handycam with 25-600mm equivalent zoom!

Alexandra Park, located close to the Bundaberg CBD and Burnett Bridge is a great place to take the kids with its playgrounds, BBQ areas and the Alexandra Park Zoo. I needed to test out my new smaller camcorder so we picked a nice sunny Saturday and made a visit. Camera: Panasonic VX1 with 2-32 Variable ND filter

Today I ventured down to the Jetty near Alexandra Park in Bundaberg to check out the Burnett Bridge and river. While I was there a bunch of kids were enjoying the day swimming and asked me to video them jumping into the river. They certainly picked a nice day! I hope they enjoy the video. Camera: Panasonic VX1 with variable 2-32 ND filter.

Burning the Cane, Childers Queensland
Переглядів 9021 день тому
We were fortunate enough to be invited to witness what is now a rare sight, the burning of a sugar cane field. It was the perfect setting with an orange Queensland sunset giving way to the night and the firestorm harnessed by a five generation farming family to prepare for harvest. Many thanks to Peter, Sandra, Roy, Lex and Evelyn for inviting us to their farm and allowing us to photograph and ...
Wongi Waterholes and Wongi State Forest, Queensland

Located 30 minutes south of Childers, the Wongi State Forest is a hidden gem that we only found out about recently. It's situated close to Lenthalls dam where there are great camping facilities. It's a peaceful and serene place without many visitors, just the odd person fishing, photograaphing or kayaking on the extensive waterways.

Cracow Ghost Town and Palm Paradise
Переглядів 257Місяць тому
The first video of our trip to Theodore and there Blackdown Tableland National Park. Our first stop was the ghost town of Cracow. Founded in 1851 and shutting up shop in the 70's, it's a time capsule of Australia's past. We also visited "Cracow Beach", a sandy riverbed shaded by tall palms on the Dawson River. Very unexpected in dry, flat country!

Nice
@russdrummond7292 Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
I been there 2014 nice pub
I visited Cracow around 25 years ago now, I was working in Theodore doing some Coal Seam Gas work and decided to go to Cracow just for a look and a cold beer, it was a bit of an eye opener to go there, what surprised me the most was that most if not all of the empty houses still had all there glass windows intact and the Pub only had one meal served that was on a Friday night which was Roast Lamb which was painted on the wall of the bar, only went there the once but I still remember it well, thank you for the photos and the memories.
Thanks for checking my video out. Many of the buildings are deteriorating but there are still residents who live in town (but not many). I try to imagine the hardships the original residents went through settling these towns way before cars or any for of electronic communications.
Great shots of the dingoes mate!
Thanks
Beautiful photography!
Thankyou. There's so much ugly stuff going on in the world. It's nice to show some beauty. I have some more videos of Fraser Island and the Bunya Mountains that I will upload over the next few weeks.
