Переглядів 7942 роки тому
Another month, another video! This time on NWE, we grab the farm's oldest tractor, a Ford 4100 2WD, and give it a little care. The full reveal of this rig and some others will be coming very soon, so stay tuned for that! When we started, the paint was painfully faded; not a spec of it was really ever washed or cared for. We decided to fix that for an upcoming series of videos that this is in! #...

Looks Great. 66 series one of my favorites DP. Indiana
66 and 86 series tractors look fantastic Cab for the 86 a major improvement over the 66 cab. Love hearing them work.
Couldn’t agree more! The style of the 66-86 series Internationals is hard to beat. Definitely came from a cooler era in tractor design.
No you do not install them On the bottom like you're showing they need to be on top when it Springs back it works.. You're going to soil wear out your Spring.. You're supposed to wear out your shovel which you are creating.
Stupid video. Could of showed finished before out in field.
Nice job!
Farm I worked on in 1972 had an 1066 and a 656...... Oh I miss those days. What a great machine the 1066
I really enjoyed your video. Thanks!
Plans on on restoring the cab?
Nice job on the 1066
The 66 series are the nicest tractors ever made. Congrats. Kent from PEI
Can you make a comparison from stock to only the stock replaced without the added ones in fender? Hard to tell how much difference was from new lamps vs doubling number of lamps
What tires you have
Good tip for organising the bolts you remove. Take a sheet of corrugated cardboard and punch holes where each bolt goes. Push them in as you remove them. Easy to put back in the right position.
Sweet
Thanks
What a machine! Nice work on the vid too. Whats next?
Just about everything is next Gerry, I got one too many winter projects!
Out of curiosity, what would a restoration like this cost if someone were paying to have this tractor restored - asking for a friend
Is this modification good on a tractor that is going to pull a box scraper? Or will it make the diff more likely to break?
Nice job !! Turned out great !!!
Stop cheaping out Rebiuld the tranny, get an oem or high quality carb, and a new gas tank. Tune the engine and take care of the tractor! Lots of life still "if" properly cared for. p.s. The "only" was to get rid of stupidity is by not being stupid in the first place
How did you make the lift mechanism
So the bales should be tipped onto their sides if they're going to sit in the field overnight? I haven't heard of this before. The reason is 'sweating?'
nice
My peerless mst 206 is a tad different from yours. Mine doesnt have a reverse chain in it. Its gear to gear and mine is oil filled. Also has 2 recessed spots for sealed bearings. The short fat ones and the tall skinny ones. I just got mine welded up a couple days ago but still haven't put it in my Murray yet. I have a 6" on the motor and a 5" on the rear end and mine goes 16mph. Perfect speed imo. But my question is was yours hard to turn the pulley after you welded it. Its not super terrible with the trans in low gears but 4-6 is a pain to turn. Maybe when I get it in and it warms up itll loosen up and turn easier. Idk. My seals were out in the axle shafts so i just put new oil in it and threw some grease in it too. So i dont know. Any info would be nice. Thanks and nice mower man
Can't Really Mess It Up😂. Thanks for showing Me The Weld Part trans
Great video, I’m impressed with how you were able to film it all like you did. I would have gotten mad at it and screwed it up😂
MEN don't squat!😂
How did level out the cultivator so the all hit at same time .
lol, that cat wants to be _noticed_
I'm thinking about building one myself i have a Murry that I'm not using. Any links for throttle controls like a foot pedal or anything like that you would recommend or just leave it alone with the factory setup
Can we see what the lights do on the blue tractor?
Why is everything red???
How does it steer with the locked rear end?
Have you fellas ever heard of a tap?
Trump 2024
Good looking tractor
Pretty cool mod! I'm gonna have to try that out on a mower one day. You could always fill your rear tires with water and it'll make it as close to a posi-trac as you can get without welding the diff.
2 lameass puds 2 painfull 2 watch
awesome video!
Admitting your mistake on camera, gives me hope for you young man. That, combined with learning to laugh at yourself, with bring joy to your life. It took me awhile to learn that. It makes a difference. Keep Learning buddy.
Looks a lot like my Craftsman. I love it.
Why not get led replacement headlight builds most older mowers run 1156 headlight bulbs
Welding the diff spider gears is ok if you are only mowing the lawn. By doing all that you just made the gears temper harder and brittle and could chip and grenade your transaxle. There is a way to lock diff without welding or using collar to lock the axle.. now every time you turn the inside wheel will turn as fast as the outside and the excessive torque is all pointing on them welded gears.. enjoy while it last.. I did.... I learned the hard way now I know a better way. Good luck..
a diff should never be locked in corners anyway.. it's pure for strait driving, getting you out of trouble.. now the machine also corners difficult, plus the strain on the gears you mentioned..
What’s the better way
@@gunnerdavis3446 a diff lock system
Thank's for the comment, I am converting a lwan tractor into a garden tractor to pull a box scraper for driveway work but wondered about exactly what you brought up. Can you tell me about the "better way" to lock up the diff? Or better yet make a video or give me a link if it already exists? Thank's Much!❤
Bro has a Volvo 850 turbo logo on it
I have a modified LT2000 (2007ish) I was apprehensive about welding the differential cause I thought it would be impossible to steer. But of you floor it (i have a 5" pulley on the motor and a 3" in the back) it'll do doughnuts and that's kind of like steering 😅 But for real, i welding mine in the exact same manor as you have (i used my Lincoln sp100 with fluxcore) and so far it's held up just fine. Like you said, it's all prep work. 3 hours of cleaning for 3 mins of welding, worth every second of your time if you wanna get anywhere in the dirt, on a lawnmower 👌
This is a good and informative video. The only thing I would have liked to see more of is the finished welds. Otherwise, great video 👍
What size ball joints did you order from Amazon? Great video! 🤙😎

Hey where did you find a carb for it?
Pro tip, never try to run all that crappy gas thru the carb. Dump it, dont be lazy.
