This could be easy to resolve with a report system. Having a report system in match, you can report other people not only for macro, but for other reasons, enough reports will make you unable to use matchmaking (But still able to play with other people on the same server).

macroing only becomes a problem when players with units that are less than capable of the event, use the macro

the people using macros also dont have them set up properly to upgrade bulma / money units and then upgrade their units all the way the level 20 with terrible units leeching is the problem, macros arent the problem, the leechers are

I’ve taken into consideration the fact that me macroing can be inconvenient when playing in a team if my macro breaks and I don’t contribute so I’ve decided to only macro solo (And I’m winning more lol)

macroing is slow now in 5 hours i only got 11k stars

the only way to stop leechers would be some sort of auto ban or even just report system where people show evidence and stuff. but obviously that is open to fraud so there isn't any good way to do it

Still using Macro if you don't find a way to somehow elevate the grinding speed. ADD 2X SPEED / 3X SPEED or EVEN WAYS TO MAKE THINGS EASIER. 40 minutes for a 1.5% chance of getting a secret portal is NUTS (1.5% chance if MAX BUFFS + 100% BONUS)

Why dont they just randomize your unit slots in game when you enter? Displacing units and switching their slots will probably ryin all macros..it will be a little annoying to normal players but worth it right?

In discord, even you have high lvl you cant join any lobby cuz most of them are looking for uniques

leachers are more annoying at least the macro helps to an extent

I have no issues with macro'ing, i myself, as a high level player macro as i wish to get an Aizen, and thus, don't think they are an issue, especially cause i macro solo. HOWEVER leech macro's are a huge problem, not only in the winter event, but in the game as a whole. The other day i had some challanges to do so i matchmake'd an Ainz stage and had 3 leeches with me, making it IMPOSSIBLE to beat. They need to find a solution that keeps Matchmaking as it is an amazing and convinient feature, but also elminates leech macro's as they make the community as a whole a lot worse.

Right now, the frozen abyss is cancer if you try matchmaking. Players is afk even though they have 100+ levels, they won't even place units, and worst of all, they do this in EVERY. SINGLE. GAME.

informaal’s macro is good example of a good macro, it macros the event SOLO and doesnt use matchmaking, if u have decent meta units you can solo the event, you dont even neeed mythis traits

The problem with macros are that 70% of the players using macros don't have good enough units to justify using them in public events. Only those with meta event units or unique units are somewhat contributing, others simply get in the way. While macroing has always been a part of the game genre, even in old AA, they were a lot more subtle back then and didn't affect other players as most people would simply solo portals or events using something like TinyTask. Macros are only welcome till they start effecting other players. The issue stems from matchmaking, and can only be fixed by removing it.

I think the cause of this was anime defenders, I heard there's a lot of leachers there ofc, I think those player moved on to AA
