I forgot to say also that it is only the neck pour, so, for this kind of bottlings especially, i'm almost sure it'll benefit significantly from oxygenation, so maybe re-review it later on ? Just an idea...Hope it'll improve with time...

Hi Andrew, interesting this ! I think they probably didn't have the right to mention the sweet wine for regulations reasons, but it is obviously Sauternes ("Botrytis Cinerea", in latin, meaning "Noble Rot'...), as on line they state about the Semillon grape variety, but I don't know if it is French oak ex-Sauternes cask or a local re-creation of this sweet wine...I understand the "funk" you're talking about, it also depends of the wine age & the cask I guess...I hope they'll bring this to France at W.L.P. so I could try & give you a feedback, Cheers my friend !

Double Black x Black Label matured in Bourbon Casks finished in Port casks maybe?

Hi Andrew, not sure I saw those 2 whiskies in their W.L.P. stand last year, but I had issues last year with too prominent wine casks for almost every expression of them I tried, so I left their stand disappointed, especially with their Stout finish...That CS seems ace....We'll see how things evolve in the future for them but I wish we could see more new/different distilleries export here...Cheers !

I have been enjoying my Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve, and I really enjoy the price I paid ($44.85).

I like this one can’t go wrong with it. This and the 18 year are fantastic the 18 being my favorite and only a few dollars more than this one 👍. Cheers Andrew 🤙🥃

Shalom. Hoy abrí una botella de GlenGrant Alboralis, y para no tener añada declarada, (mínimo debe tener 3 años en barrica), me parece un single malt, muy sabroso, redondo y facil de tomar.
