Electronic doors were released, granting him access through a vast, dark and hollow tunnel. And through another doorway, transport was here readily available. A familiar Dr. No’s vast Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey did indeed stand patiently the other side. He was now in a cavernous hangar. Small circular LED downlights were around the circular rim. Three large squared alcoves were at the north, east and west. Fluorescent tubes were lit and Dr. No's symbols were seen in the alcoves. He heard sounds of explosion starting to erupt. GoldenEye started the transport engines to escape the intense heat of flames crackling just underneath, ascending to great height. Fires burst out of everywhere, streams of gas wafted excessively and fizzing sparks of electrical energy crackled uncontrollably. The elites within the fortress - Murdoch, Fletcher, Blackwood, the anonymous elite and their divisions were killed by the blast of the electricity, fire and gas. A large glass panel displayed flashing green words. Below the aircraft, the chain reaction was building up. Once airborne, the nacelles rotated forward 90° in as little as 12 seconds for horizontal flight. Behind it, a pillar of heated plutonium, uranium, cobalt, radium and other contents shot into the sky with sunset behind it. Sounds of the danger alarm were heard. The glass panel marked - "System failure! Core breached!" Here, with a 'Boom', the island exploded into a towering nuclear explosion, lighting the sky with an eerie twilight glow. The aircraft hovered as fast as it could. There seemed no better plan. The surviving batallions led by Hood, Cross and Snell who were ignored by GoldenEye were left stranded and investigated the site of the explosion. The ground forces witnessed the ultimate biggest explosion - a ghastly sight that would affright them. The cargo ship, the island, special purpose buoys, moor contact mines, the Manta Mark 9 Submersible, the containers with nuclear contents, the advanced tank and the infantry contributed to the widespread of the explosion. While trying to flee, the remaining forces were now perished in the nuclear detonation. Those within the Mining Complex were also killed within. While piloting the aircraft, GoldenEye now won the almost great tranquility and looked at the now destroyed Crab Key. This was the time for GoldenEye to recur his thoughts. He was discharged from MI6 for the death of James Bond during a simulation and now he felt betrayed for the last time. He suffered a number of betrayals since his first mission from Goldfinger. The Triad leader betrayed him after receiving better payment from the now departed Dr. No. Oddjob who was Goldfinger's manservant betrayed GoldenEye and those reasons were anonymous and it was something he could not figure out until now and then. Onatopp, a dark reflection of GoldenEye, employed by Dr. No as his enforcer participated in the underworld feud between her boss and Goldfinger. And now Goldfinger swiftly betrayed him after he outlived his usefulness. Or was it because of the death of Oddjob? Or for spending his money at the Octopus? He reflected on Goldfinger’s words “Now, the rest of my plan will face into place” and realised what he meant earlier. He realised Goldfinger swiftly betrayed and abandoned him. All of the suicidal missions were his contemplation of using the enforcer as part of his larger scheme to take over the Organisation. No honour among thieves. Or so he thought. The only ones he had left were Blofeld, Scaramanga and Galore.

    - Part 2 - GoldenEye took his Mag-Rail, reloaded and proceeded through a small empty corridor, intent on his goal. "You have reached the reactor. Now, you must sabotage the cooling rods to trigger the meltdown. The final curtain is about to fall." Goldfingers grinned. And yet through another doorway, he was now in a vast and spacious octagonal chamber, dimly lit. First GoldenEye made the exploration. Directly opposite, was a tower with cooling rods at regular points, engulfed in a bluish-purple radioluminescence and green switches below, each cooling rod. Dr. No stood on an octagonal metal grille walkway. Above the cooling rods were fans in each direction. Icy blasts of air hissed through meshed fans. This proved inaccessible to ordinary men out of reach, except his cybernetic eye. Explosive barrels and control panels dotted the octagonal metal grille walkway. Their purposes were easily guessed. GoldenEye had seen Dr. No at work, eviscerating his troops. As he suspected, if he tried to fire, each shot was repelled by powerful energy that radiated from the cooling rods. GoldenEye listened to a voice that sounded familiar to him. "You may have killed Xenia, but you will find me a more worthy adversary." Following a series of telling blows, Dr. No withdrew. As GoldenEye recovered strength a detonator under Dr. No's control flew from above and whirled down towards him. He avoided aside as it exploded in his place. A guard called out. “He’s reached the reactor!” The first soldier was ready but he dropped finished him fast, scooping up a grenade from the body. At once he came under fire from the far end of the room. The second guard stood impervious to his gunfire. He rolled a grenade and blew him off his feet. The third guard broke from cover, and he loosed off a few shots of the Mag-rail as he closed in. GoldenEye tossed another grenade, but to his consternation a guard picked it up and threw it back. The rogue agent dived aside and tried again, this time with a burst of gunfire forcing him to cover. The grenade did its job and he had the walkway and niches to himself. GoldenEye uses the power of his cybernetic eye to retract first set of three cooling rods and the second. Dr. No taunted. "I will enjoy your suffering." Troopers and elites sprang from the exits and opened fire and beset him with grenades, electric bolts, detonators. Enemies beset GoldenEye who sought and took refuge through one of the exits. The exit was in fact a small and dark bare room. Storage room perhaps! This gave him time to contemplate on being grateful to Dr. No who shot his eye and armed with new powers for his cybernetic eye done by Scaramanga. He couldn't afford to relax and tried to anticipate the next wave as it came. Once fully recovered, he left the small room and picked up a Tesla EM and a Mag-Rail. "Keep him away from Dr. No!" He realised purple electric bolts depletes the force field significantly while green bolts momentarily paralyses him, forcing him to duck behind wall pilasters and control panels. Dr. No fired detonators at his opponent who avoided and hid behind the obstacles. Weakened by the use of his eye or perhaps leading to temporary near-blindness, GoldenEye tossed a few grenades, blasting the enemies. There was too a sobering reminder that he must now proceed with care - without the powers of the golden eye, any mistake would be terminal. And found obstacles to recharge his eye. The process took long to be complete, though he was grateful for healing his wounds. He saw a small opening on the metal floor. Through the opening was a ladder leading a lower floor lined with pipes and turbines. While staying near one of the turbines, he felt the device was similar to the room where the enemies were killed on the electric floor in the Octopus and the generator on the wharf. There, he was relieved that his cybernetic eye was fully refuelled. Sounds of opening electronic gates on the ground floor got his attention. He saw more squad coming to defend their boss. Reasoning that there was little to lose but his life, GoldenEye ran and threw grenades at them. He used his cybernetic eye’s powers and weapons with satisfaction. He panted for breath, and stood wary. Another detonator spanned down to smite him, and he avoided the explosion aside. GoldenEye had a few tricks for close combat; he punched a guard in the head and fled away, giving him a feel of both pistols, then picked up his assault weapon and shot the next one ducked behind barrels. Again, he focused his right eye on the two switches. Enemies under guidance of their leader, Murdoch beset GoldenEye from above who stayed near the turbines to allow his cybernetic eye to be at its fullest. Murdoch bounded into view. A mob of guards hustled behind. Again and again he unleashed the power of the golden eye as the cooling rods wore off, and kept up his attack, so that even though a wave of new arrivals crowded him close it was all the easier to finish every one. Dr. No intoned coldly. "The secrets of Crab Key shall die with you." The ex-MI6 agent scarcely paid heed to Dr. No's words and refilled his stock in satisfaction. He recovered his footing and advanced on the guard to it again. When he could, near the generator, his cybernetic eye scooped up a handful of magnetic energy to keep up its power. He would need all his speed and agility to ensure that he did not linger long in one spot and receive a more deadly blow. Here at last he had the perfect weapon to even the greatest odds. One guard followed by another arrived. The Mag-Rail bolt diminished both of them in one shot. Again from his aching head, GoldenEye used his cybernetic eye to tamper with the last switch. The pulsing rings of the force field atop the tower began to fade. "You will perish, GoldenEye." Time perhaps that he himself should die. More enemies came to punish him for trespassing Dr. No’s property, but they were effortlessly beaten back. He felt his cybernetic eye regain its full energy and went up the ladder only to be ambushed by the squad of guards. Once the cooling rods were disabled, he unloaded one clip after another from his as Dr. No showed himself, and stayed ready to duck for shelter if GoldenEye misjudged his actions. The power of the force field seemed to protect him from the full force of the gun, but the latter laid down relentless fire. Unaffected, his target took sudden flight around the perimeter. His focus was interrupted by an unidentified elite cloaked in force field followed by some enemies. Murdoch and the anonymous elite gathered the horde above to finish him. While nervous when they might be able to finish him, he knew the nuclear reactor was his focus. As the reactor started to slowly heat up, With daring and timing, and judicious use of the magnetic polarity shield, he used Tesla EM to lessen the density of the force field and punched the once shielded foe to his demise. He pressed on determined, and made swift progress. Once the area was cleared of all foes except Dr. No, in this he discovered the perfect technique. Here was no demand for subtlety or skill, he faced the mad scientist full on. He watched carefully and wove a course between, tracking Dr. No as he moved away. Confident now of his ability, GoldenEye dashed quickly and fired uranium bolts from the Mag-Rail through the force field. Pleased with his success, but wary of the motion of detonator, GoldenEye took to his heels in a flash and pursued him, keeping up concentrated automatic fire until ammo was gone. He switched to Mag-rail in right hand while Tesla Em in left hand and blazed away. As a detonator sliced out from the small handgun, GoldenEye ducked under. At a moment he lost sight of him another stream shimmered towards him; he was caught in the open. He resumed the attack. Soon enough, attacks attracted a stream of violet-blue electricity which fizzed and cracked, Dr. No was caught in. GoldenEye searched for an exit while Dr. No gave a cry of agony while electrocuted. GoldenEye judged a moment to leave in its wake, shifting the walkway steadily, hand over hand as it sparked out just ahead. Goldfinger expressed gleeful satisfaction. "At last, Dr Julius No is dead! Unfortunately, GoldenEye, I must confess that this victory is entirely mine. The satellite you toppled was not Dr. No's." Goldfinger added a betrayal in his tone. "You disabled the Volcano Lair's defense grid. I have engineered a change in management... And there are no chairs at the table for those who might challenge me. Your return flight has been cancelled. Auf Wiedersehen, GoldenEye." Turmoil seethed within GoldenEye's already tormented head. He was discharged from MI6 and felt betrayed for the last time, since the Triad leader, Oddjob, Onatopp and now Goldfinger. Feeling time was running out, he remembered the small opening and went down the ladder. Guards poured from the fortress to attack the man who killed Dr. No. There seemed too many to repel with finesse. Even so, yet more arrived, and GoldenEye was surrounded once again. Combat was fruitless with the objective overlooked. He fled and the electronic doors crashed against each other, holding back the enraged troops inside. He felt there was seemingly no escape and pondered that Goldfingers reveled in his predicament. From below, he saw the body of Dr. No. More explosive barrels were scattered about this area. He caught his breath and decided the only way forward was to reach for an exit which his instincts signalled him. Electronic doors were released, granting him access through a vast, dark and hollow tunnel.

After minutes of long rest, GoldenEye got up and knew his journey was at an end. GoldenEye proceeded through a vast hallway and Goldfinger signalled through his headset. "Crab Key is protected by a satellite weapon, which could destroy Miss Galore's aircraft and leave you stranded. But you can topple the satellite from Dr No's aerospace Control Room!" With his thoughts in this way occupied, who could say what other danger lay ahead? As he guessed, massive electronic doors slid open, revealing two guards. Heavy footsteps alerted him to the presence of enemies nearby. This led the rogue agent to toss a grenade at them, blasting them. The aerospace control room was full of foes and filled with electronic equipment. “Keep him away from the controls!” ordered a guard. Closed circuit TV lined the walls (three to the left and two to the right) and showed various spots in the fortress and the far end was an entrance. In the centre of the room was a holographic model depicting the world and a red satellite hovering. A central console faced a darkened monitor. On the walkway and the centre of the room, enemies. At this rate, he must rely on the force field derived from his cybernetic eye. GoldenEye crept behind metal panel on the handrails, which faced the doorway where he came through and singled the nearest foe with his Magnetic Field Inducer. "Flush him out!" yelled a guard. They fanned out in the room to right and left, and he edged in. GoldenEye moved out to the centre of the room and caught three together. He lobbed a grenade and fired his handgun to keep them busy. Then he ducked behind another metallic panel on the handrail, where two more opened fire. One came down a short flight of steps, firing green substance and purple electric bolt. GoldenEye threw a grenade, and closed in on the other. "Keep him away from the controls!" a guard ordered. The electric bolt and Mag-Rail depleted GoldenEye's force field quickly, forcing him to retreat to safety. Another guard came from his hiding place, so he scooped up a dropped weapon to finish him at close quarters. The last stragglers were picked off from cover. After the intense action the room seemed quiet. He hurried to tap a few keys at the central console, disabling the satellite. Goldfinger's voice expressed delight. "Excellent work, GoldenEye. Now, the rest of my plan may fall into place." GoldenEye heard those words and felt something wasn’t right about him. Urgent shouts erupted and their commander, Fletcher aimed his handgun to stun him. "Open fire!" ordered their leader. GoldenEye was nearing his objective and enveloped himself in his Polarity Shield. He saw the rewards in dealing with Fletcher and his squad great, but he picked up a Mag-rail and moved out through the electronic double doors which opened, leading him into the next hallway. It seemed quiet enough. While he relaxed to regain his energy, he looked outside through the windows, the sky appeared to be at maybe early sunset. There were more distractions than just this one scenery. A guard was brought to alert. "Watch your back!" He punched the soldier in the head and gave him a feel of the Mag-Rail, then picked up his assault weapon and shot the next one ducked behind barrels. An elite named Blackwood arrived to impede his movements. That did not stop him. He heard explosions behind the electronic double doors. He paused to reload and looked out as the men moved in once he went through them. He showed himself quickly and blew the one with Predator MG away. Barrels shattered in the resulting explosion. GoldenEye tricked the soldiers into approaching the shut electronic double doors. Drums of some volatile chemical had been left stacked next to the electronic double doors at one side, and these exploded on a single shot, sending a ball of flame that toasted the nearest men. Layer after layer, GoldenEye peeled through and through the window was the familiar Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey of Dr No, firing missiles at GoldenEye. Who was in use of it was unknown. He made use of the Mk2 Detonator. Since the previous encounter with the huge aircraft in Hong Kong, he remembered that he should take cover. However with his Polarity Shield, it would help at least to some extent. These weren't enough and quickly snatched the Predator MG and backed off, then took cover in the protection of the window pillars and edges as he came under heavy fire from the enemy aircraft. Explosions ripped the air as gunfire from the Predator MG chattered. Unable to keep up with such tenacity, the aircraft exploded and plummetted to its destruction. At last things quietened down.

Through electronic gates, he went into a huge tunnel. GoldenEye's already worn out legs could not take anymore of strenuous ascension. He went uphill. Another set of electronic doors opened. He saw an exceedingly huge fortress complex with an unusual isosceles trapezoid-shaped architecture, similar to what he saw in Hong Kong. The fortress was a two-tiered one surrounded by several large towers on either end and small trapezoid-shaped bunkers with narrow slits. Atop the fortress were two small bunkers as well as large ones with anti-air guns and on its centre was a tall and slender trapezoid-shaped chimney. This might explain the smoke he saw behind the quarry. In the open space, Morrow, an elite veiled in Polarity Shield and custodian of the fortress appeared to be relaxed. His break was cut short, upon seeing the intruder. He felt a burning disbelief, regarding GoldenEye managed to get this far until he reached this battlement. Morrow doubted that how one man could cause a widespread despoliation within the island, as no regular person could replicate such a feat. Considerations were saved for later, as his duty was to call for the squad to prevent the already exhausted agent from entering the fortress. Morrow felt he wanted to please Dr. No by being the one to finish off GoldenEye and receive a promotion for being the best of all elites. “Don’t let him reach the fortress, no matter what it takes!” Through the fortress' electronic gates, he was bewildered by the sight of a battle tank's unusual flat design. Cantering to a stop, the battle tank's once plain look started to unfurl. The device was raised straight, giving a rather unusual yet menacing appearance. A second one came from one side. He wondered if Dr. No did any vicissitude, during the invention of these new war machines. GoldenEye crouched behind one of the tall yet fragile crate, saving his skin from the Predator MG. He waited for the minigun to overheat and sprung out of his hiding place. He neutralised Morrow's cloaking shield with his Mag-Rail and used his telekinesis power to remove him from existence. While reloading, he judged that unlike the battle tanks he faced on Hoover Dam's roadway, these once were advanced and big fireballs from the sophisticated ones discombobulate shot big fireballs. To make matters worse, he saw guards wielding Harpoon RL, but they were of no consequence. One of the guards urged. “That gate stays closed until he’s dead.” He spread his attacks to subtract the guards. He remembered the best way to deal with the battle tanks was to avoid explosive shells and fire the Harpoon RL. In his exigency, GoldenEye fired the Mag-Rail on the first revolutionary tank three times. While in a state of panic, he quickly used his Polarity Shield, expecting the tank would have lasted. It was proven wrong since a highly-developed tank burst into flames. He realised that three shots from the Mag-Rail would have brought it to ruins. He kept moving around, avoiding the fireballs. After trying the same, two last bolts were spent. He forced to drop the obsolete Mag-Rail to the ground in exchange for a Harpoon RL. He hoped the rocket would finalise its job the Mag-Rail did. The missile destroyed the second advanced tank, leaving it in flames. His satisfaction was interrupted by more guards. GoldenEye readily treated them without mercy. The Harpoon RL did its job and was dropped from his hand in retirement. Due to its immense size, GoldenEye silently speculated that it could be something I. M. Pei would have designed. He did corroborate that this was Dr. No's fortress and could not help but admire how impressive Dr. No's fortress and was upset to see it lose in the incoming aftermath. He went past the bunkers and looked around the area where he stood. He saw mountain ridges with overgrown vegetation stretching across and for whatever reason, he could not go any farther. Below were rocks and water. GoldenEye ventured past the ruined advanced battle tanks and got to the electronic gates. Five, four, three, two, one. GoldenEye heard and observed the explosion behind the mountain ridge. There were no sight of birds or insects fleeing. Electronic gates opened and reinforcements, followed by a third advanced battle tank emerged from the fortress. GoldenEye was nervous and expected another fight with them. He was relieved that none of them spotted him for the explosion was their priority. The squad ran down through the huge tunnel and the surviving squads led by the elites - Cross, Hood and Snell would no doubt gather with the reinforcements to investigate the site of the explosion. The bell boeing V-22 Ospreys were all fragmented across the grounds and depths of the water. GoldenEye wondered how the advanced battle tank would go through the path blocked by roadblock and containers. There was no time to consider as he was getting his only chance to enter the fortress. The electronic gates closed behind him. GoldenEye gave a faint smile of accomplishment. His cybernetic eye's thaumaturgy, his used weapons and battlefield casualties had depleted Dr. No's troop strength to dangerously low levels.

    - Part 3 - On a dense metal bridge with grille in the middle, he saw ballistic vests and a Predator MG. The bridge was linked to a metal platform with more of the containers. A guard was seen on the left and GoldenEye was providential that he did not get spotted. He knew his recklessness would alert the patrol, but the Mag-Rail in his left hand would effectively silence him. He ran on the bridge and heard the sound of an electronic door opening. GoldenEye looked everywhere and saw he was on a largely stone and metal-constructed series of platforms and bridges, set in the middle of a deep, dark and murky lake. From a tower, three guards got out and tried their best to impede him from getting through the walkway. He reloaded his Mag-Rail and without second thought he carefully aimed the Mag-Rail. The Mag-Rail gave a shot that pierced through the three killing them, concomitantly. They hoped to be the ones to succeed in pleasing Dr. No by taking out GoldenEye, but failed in their duties. While his cybernetic eye overheated after excessive use, it was a matter of advancing bit by bit over the bridges, platforms and walkways while keeping a lot of enemies away from him. The bridges and platforms had rails around them. On the platform were more of the containers. A guard came out of his hiding place. He aimed carefully and threw another at them. And this time, it turned the table over them. He navigated through the narrow walkway and came near the tower. A layer of an electronic door slid downward and another with Dr. No's symbol slid in the same direction. A guard with the Predator MG and another with an AR4 Commando came to the fore. Injuries from gunshots were not severe, then again he was able to feel himself renewed. GoldenEye hid behind metal plating on the rail. His MRI Vision helped him aim his Mag-Rail. It was tricky for him to keep a steady aim, since the guards kept moving back and forth. He tried to get as many as he could. He got up to see which of them had a Predator MG. He ducked, after seeing the guard firing his Predator MG. While the guard was busy firing his Predator MG, GoldenEye relieved him of his duty. Four last shots were left in the Mag-Rail. He got the guards. Peace was gained. He saw at the base of the metal stairs were metal rails surrounding a small platform and a section of a square column was behind a stone rail. Switches were next to a metal bridge with grille at the centre. The bridge was seemingly divided into two. On the other side of the bridge, a guard tried to paralyse him only to be swept away by the last shot of the Mag-Rail. He was feeling itched with curiosity as to what the switch could do. Before even trying that, he heard more soldiers coming. He ran up a flight of metal stairs and onto an upper platform. A similar switch was set near another metal bridge. One of the guards ran onto the bridge. He was unaware that GoldenEye was at a distance, expecting the helpless man to beg for mercy. At that moment, the bridge again opened, causing the guard to lose his footing. He desperately tried to grip the bridge's other half. Not even its corner he managed to grab. The guard cried as he plummeted into the water. The divided bridge whirred and restored itself as entwined. The action of the switch not only satisfied his curiosity, but helped save what remaining ammo his Mag-Rail had left. The switch offered him a great service. After the guard fell to his death, GoldenEye saw the squad firing from the other side of the bridge. He hid behind a rail covered in metallic mesh and waited to recollect himself, his energy and the bridge to return to its safe state. Two more guards came to catch the operative. Immediately after opening fire, the bridge the guards were running on again split itself open and caused them to lose their balance. Their heavy feet, suddenly dropped and they were pulled by the weight of their armours and plunged into the depths of the water, joining their comrade. While crouching, GoldenEye went downstairs to wear a ballistic vest over the torn one and his left hand picked up a Mag-Rail. Fully prepared, GoldenEye went back to his former position. His X-Ray eyesight allowed him to see through the rail covered in metallic mesh. His Mag-Rail helped ensured declension. He took to his feet and ran onto the bridge and to the next platform with containers. To his right, the tower he saw earlier was now close. The squad's gunfire was nullified by his Mag-Rail. GoldenEye was reloading both weapons and concurrently spotted a brute with a Harpoon RL and legs of his crouching accomplice behind the metal rail above him. He judged they had the higher ground, but GoldenEye simply shot the guard with the Harpoon RL before he even tried getting him. His accomplice was snubbed out. He ran upstairs and saw more of the stone columns with iron bars were standing in the water. He continued to move to the next quarry's ridge, where two Bell Boeing V-22 Ospreys came out and attacked him. It was where he must find refuge behind the stack of containers and avoid getting shot. He hoped that this was the last of the killer vehicles that would attack him. He waited for the attacks to pause at least for a while. He ran for the Harpoon RL and skulked behind the containers, waited for them to finish shooting his hiding place. He must let them be together, before firing the missiles twice at them. Such action sent the Bell Boeing V-22 Ospreys falling into fragments. Behind the quarry, he saw smoke coming from behind it. Was this from Dr. No’s fortress or mining works? Two questions came to his mind. He reclaimed his Mag-Rail, reloaded it, be fully prepared and ran down the stairs. Through a narrow bridge, GoldenEye was frustrated and decided the troops were very persistent. He had his methods in showing them his methods of depredation. On the right, more of the roadblock barricades were placed at the edge. Containers and boulders were barriers to him. Sounds of the opening electronic gates got his attention. It was elite named Cross. Behind him were his henchmen. He judged that those brutes were under supervision of Cross. The slow-witted garrison was confounded by GoldenEye's strategy and his cybernetic eye. There were containers and huge metal cable reels. The course of action for him was to hide, made use of his Magnetic Field Inducer, his MRI Vision and Mag-Rail to bring out the process of despoliation. He knew the detonation of the charges planted would blow at any rate. GoldenEye came to the weapons on the floor. Grenades and Mag-Rail contained ammo agglomerated in clusters. He had no time for endless combat without gain, and ran past the members of Cross. The enraged guards tried to bring the gilt-edged operative back into the killing ground. He kept reminding himself about the destruction of Crab Key. He was prepared to ignore them.

    - Part 2 - The voice of Goldfinger came. "The mining equipment is perfect for sabotage." GoldenEye was relieved that gunfire did not get him or at least sever the cable. He came onto the small tower and was unharmed. He noticed a body armour and an AR4 Commando leaning on the metal rail. He trusted the firepower of the Harpoon RL and meted out punishment to the guards. The area was now calm and the voice of Goldfinger continued. "Look for vulnerable targets and plant your explosives. When you reach Dr. No's fortress, the remote detonation will distract the gate sentries." He started to have reservations. Could he trust this man? He sent GoldenEye on many doomed missions that nearly cost him his life to assist him in the war against Dr. No. Goldfinger sought to defend his sophisticated weapon, but at the same time GoldenEye was on his path of revenge against his nemesis for shooting him in the eye. For what reason did Dr. No did this? Whatever was the motive behind this? It was unfortunate James Bond did not come with him to Crab Key. And there were no signs of the least armoured guards. He wore the body armour and took the AR4 Commando, went downstairs and assessed the situation. He saw two large spherical bombs. A radioactive and biohazard sign was displayed on the rail. He realised they were the explosives. GoldenEye meticulously planted the charges. The door into the mining shaft was inaccessible. Demanding voices came. "Give me fire! Behind the tower" He surveyed behind the stone rails above him. Guards bivouacked by the leading elite, Snell. It was needed that he should hide behind the stone rails and his Polarity Shield befogged the green bolts and gunshots. He spread fire across the area, killing Snell's battalion. He saved the Polarity Shield for the best. The deaths of his accomplices left Snell facing him alone. He ran up the earthen slopes and again veiled himself in the Polarity Shield and left Snell to his embarrassment. Snell vowed to avenge his fallen squad, but it was too late. The enemies above were still enraged for being unable to kill their target. He was relieved that his Mag-Rail at least had sufficient ammo and entered through the electronic gates, leading him into a cavernous tunnel with semi-circular pilasters and brackets around its walls. Pipes lined the tunnel. He was exposed, since his Polarity Shield was completely out of action. The last of Snell's infantry fired cannonade of missiles at him. It was obvious that he should avoid them. He gave sinous movements to avoid them and allow himself room to throw a grenade at them. Fulmination swept some of them away. The rest were unscathed. They felt that their lives were forfeit, as a second one was thrown at them. Wind howled and soft sounds of machinery were heard. Electronic gates slid until accessible. He got out of the tunnel, missiles whistled through the closing electronic gates. He was injured, but was able to heal himself. He went through and came onto a huge stone platform, which appeared to hold heavy weight. To his right were the intermodal containers which contained radioactive contents. He looked all around and saw he was in another section of the open pit-mining. To his left were metal cable reel and containers. He judged by the widespread radioactive containers that the detonation would touch them bringing about Crab Key's destruction. Beyond the containers were electronic gates built on a huge wall on the quarry. He was surprised to spot a roadblock barricade with yellow and black stripes. He did not know what vehicle he should expect would have come through the otherwise spacious area. With whatever weapon equipped, GoldenEye must do whatever he could to reach Dr. No's fortress. He knew the detonation countdown would not last any longer. In front of him, he observed a dump truck above a tower with only a doorway. Bridges, metallic structures and platforms were built on huge square-shaped stone columns. Around the bridges were stone columns with rusty iron bars jutting out and metallic structures were suspended above. Rocks above did not seem to fall by erosion. He kept himself hidden behind the platform's stone rail and used his X-ray eyesight to observe how many guards were waiting for him. He saw the nearest one through the column and fired a shot from the Mag-Rail. One thing for certain that Scaramanga's masterpiece made him get this far. Luckily another did not hear the sound of his unfortunate comrade’s death. A faint X-ray image of the other guard appeared through the column. He reloaded and the guard was crumpled to death by the Mag-Rail.

On the right side, a loaded mine cart was still. Again, they were all left unattended. He wondered where the miners were. To see whether there were more enemies outside, he checked to his right and by some intuition he sensed a guard was swept away. He was almost impatient and wanting to get out, he must let his cybernetic eye do its job. After its maximum refill, the cybernetic eye sent another guard to his death. Counting the seconds for his cybernetic eye to be back for more use, he felt the guards were out of reach. There was no choice but to keep going. The electronic gates unfastened and GoldenEye abruptly stopped as he saw a guard casually walking on a huge white stone platform that stood a vast open-pit mining. Open-pit mining was considered one of the most dangerous sectors in the industrial world. It causes significant effects to miners' health, as well as damage to the ecological land and water. Crates, huge wheels, rocks and a yellow dump truck were placed on it. He used his propellant miracle from his cybernetic eye to haul the guard off his feet, over the stone rail and into the open-pit mining. This action caused the guarding squad to be in disarray. "Everyone, now!" He retrogressed back to his hiding place in the mining tunnel and waited for his cybernetic eye to be fully back in use. He used the same method over and over again until his artificial eye was unable to get the others who eluded him. He was now forced to leave the mining tunnel and hid behind the wheels. Feeling his cybernetic eye was ready, he used his Mag-Rail and gradually palliated the situation. He expeditiously ran behind the dump truck, which had rocks in front of its wheels and some behind them. A voice pointed out. "Behind the dump truck." More of Dr. No's troops waited for him behind the containers, rocks and huge wheels. One of the guards attempted to keep him in a state of paralysis and farther down were two guards. One of them wielded a Predator MG. Throughout his previous missions, grenades were his forms of thwarting them. He threw a grenade at the enemies. Some of them were killed. Others toppled to the ground, obviously sustaining heavy damage. He quickly receded back under the dump truck and back his former position, albeit next to its huge wheel. Both the guard with the Predator MG and GoldenEye tried to get their aim correctly. With a stroke of luck, the Mag-Rail's bolt swiftly phased through hard obstacles and through the guard, killing him. Much to his relief, the Predator MG was mercifully on the ground. He went through the underside of the dump truck and exchanged his used Mag-Rail for a new one. His mind brought out his enhanced marquisette to shield himself from gunshots and dealt with the enemy holding his Predator MG. He left the rest of the enemies, keeping in mind about the destruction of Crab Key. This would be the ultimate way of annihilating Dr. No's forces. It was at this moment, he ran up a shallow ramp to a small guyed mast with a zipline. The enraged troops wasted their shots at the fleeing operative. Grabbing the zipline, GoldenEye slid across the open-pit mine. While sliding, he analysed how to work all the way to the depth of the open-pit mine. He spotted a tall building complex at the bottom with Dr. No's symbol, four lights flashing on top of it and a long. He realised that this was the mining shaft and the cobalt silos where he should plant the explosives. Another dump truck was near the mining shaft, no doubt waiting for materials to load into it. Next to it was a small white tower with a metal platform, metal stairs around it and a guyed mast with a zipline. Fragmented stone rails dotted the ground and above it was huge concrete wall with electronic gates built into it. Behind the wall and electronic gates were boulders. To his right was a similar small tower where he would land on. His observation was interrupted by gunshots and a rocket whooshed from a Harpoon RL and was luckily beneath his feet. He landed safely on the small tower. A third dump truck was not in operation. He took precautions and slowly descended the stairs. This guard crouched in full view, and seemed disinclined to walk away. He hid behind the tower and scanned through the tower's wall and fired bolt from the Mag-Rail, killing the guard. He went for the Harpoon RL. The others went back and forth behind one of the boulders and the huge wheel farther down. One of the three guards fired a rocket at GoldenEye. After avoiding it, the Enemies did their best not to fail their boss. They failed to keep their promise, since GoldenEye obliterated them with one shot. After descending the tower, he was determined to go through the horde either facing them or abjure any foe. However, he saw a guard firing a Predator MG, forcing him to take cover behind the huge wheel and waited for the six-barrel rotary machine gun to overheat. These weapons could never be ignored. While desperately reloading it, he used took advantage of his momentary lapse of concentration and fired the Harpoon RL. The last shot removed him out of the way. GoldenEye knew his Polarity Shield drew in large amounts so long as it was active. He screened himself in it, fleeing from the enemies. He felt the sensation of using Polarity Shield as feeling pain in every cell and nerve in his body, which only increased over time of usage. The guard with his Mag-Rail was beaten back by the hot and killer strength of his opponent. After falling with a dying groan, GoldenEye retrieved the Mag-Rail, gone past the obstacles and jumped onto the guyed mast with zipline. He dropped his Polarity Shield to save for more challenges. He slid over a dump truck and anchored his feet to the top of the small tower. Attacks greeted him. Behind two containers, a guard came out. Two more were behind a boulder. He ducked as he saw shots from a Predator MG. He crouched and fired the Mag-Rail killing the guard holding the Predator MG and the other with a Harpoon RL who went behind his fallen fellow man. Unluckily, him and his ally were killed by the Predator MG. He went downstairs, hoping the rail would shield him, aside from the impact done by Harpoon RL. He killed the Harpoon RL wielding guard with his Mag-Rail. His body armour became threadbare by gunshots done by Predator MG and the other firearms. He shifted his focus onto the guard with the Predator MG and he skated across the area. As their battle raged, Dr. No's guards tried hard to prevent GoldenEye from getting to the mining shaft, but he repeatedly refused. While GoldenEye contemplated his next move, he was confronted by two Bell Boeing V-22 Ospreys. He hid behind the containers to relax his articifial eye, but must remain wary as the attacks were deadly. It was evident that Mag-Rail was effective. He tried to keep a steady aim, but one of the aircrafts went upward. The nearest one came down. Somehow the panic that built inside GoldenEye at that moment triggered his eidolic penumbra. He knew its protection would not last. He boldly shot the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey, twice, leaving the other one. He hid behind the containers and gathered decent amount of energy for his cybernetic eye. There wasn't a form of electric pillar or a generator to help recharge his eye at a faster rate. He was injured by the aircraft's attack. He was indebted to be given the mīrābilia to heal and those derived from his cybernetic eye. He waited for the aircraft to be still, before delivering two shots. The aircraft was now destroyed to bits. He went up a small slope and near a boulder where grabbed a Harpoon RL and clothed himself in body armours. He went down a small slope and got to the final guyed mast with zipline. He braced himself before going to the depth of the open-pit mine. He expected that more enemies especially those wielding Predator MG guarding the area.

    - Part 2 - He went as far left as he could, went upstairs and enter through a grey electronic door with Dr. No's symbol. Through the entrance, he saw a small dim-lit room with disabled computers, consoles and through another electronic door, he was now atop the stairs with metal hand rail. More of the intermodal containers were stacked on top of another. Pendant lights were suspended from long cords and sunlight appeared through transluscent roofing sheets. This was a warehouse. Enemies came into view. One of them alerted his allies. "Watch your back!" GoldenEye remained in the small room and used his one of his cybernetic eye's supernatural phenomenon, allowing him to see through the wall and fired his Mag-Rail, killing at least two guards. Knowing that the others were out of his MRI Vision's range, he quickly descended the metal stairs and hid behind one of the containers and made use of his Magnetic Field Inducer. He waited for his cybernetic eye to become whole, hoping no guards would come near him. It was a requirement that patience should allow him to regain his energy. He must save the Mag-Rail and grenades for later use and his eye was fully prepared. His instincts signaled the Magnetic Field Inducer to take out the nearest guard. This time he used MRI Vision and Mag-Rail to allow depleted uranium to phase through the containers, killing them. He ran through the narrow way and hid behind a cubic metal container and saw enemies through it. He got up and threw grenades at the two guards to his right and more at the opposite direction. He ran through the containers and was halted by more enemies. The squad appeared to be under leadership of an elite in Polarity Shield whom GoldenEye deemed congeneric like the one he saw at the Hoover Dam, before getting to the Seismic Bomb. Hammersmith ordered his division. "Target acquired!" GoldenEye saw one of the guards held another hostage. Why one would use his own ally as human shield was beyond him. Hammersmith did not seem to brand one of his men as traitor or had time to do so. He thrashed a fragmentation grenade at the enemies, blasting them. The human shield was now relieved from his panic state, leaving the elite. He fired Mag-Rail and Mamba 12g at him. Using what was left of his energy, he cloaked himself in force field and punched him. If successful, Hammersmith would die. If not, his vulnerability would at least allow GoldenEye time to turn table on him. A final shot from the Mag-Rail finished him. He panted, feeling he was out of energy. He had a headache and his eye ached terribly for being too dependable on his cybernetic eye. He casually grabbed his Mag-Rail, body armours and refilled his Mag-Rail. It was one of the moments that he allowed himself to rest. Too much pressure he endured since his time the simulation done by M till present. Not once he ate, drank or slept since Goldfinger recruited him. He did not have time to get a decent meal at Midas Casino or sleep in the Lair. Not even James Bond or Natalya Simonova would come to join in the fray. What could get any worse? GoldenEye pondered. Galore did not come to him since the destruction of Hoover Dam. After minutes of rest, he knew the amount weren't enough to relax his muscles and his cybernetic eye. He did remember Goldfinger was counting on him to get the job done. He caught his breath and braced himself for the next wave of foes. He continued his mission and ran upstairs to an identical electronic door. It slid open and GoldenEye saw he should work his way up a flight of metal stairs. Wall mounted flood lights were fastened on the walls. He saw a soldier approaching downstairs. One shot of the Mag-Rail took him out of the way. Another voice came. "On me!" The next soldier went to avenge his fallen ally only to meet the fate of all of Hammersmith's division. His cybernetic eye allowed him to look through the metal ceiling. Two of the guards moved about, waiting for their victim to show up. This was proven wrong. Shots from Mag-Rail, removed them from their post. After reaching the top floor, he was now on the watch tower that overlooked the wharf and the cargo ship. Computers lined the walls and some behind the hand rail. A switch led him to tap its button. "Covering fire!" GoldenEye heard the enemy's voice and cautiously moved downstairs. A guard ran with a Mamba 12g to impede him. He was shot in the head by his HS-90. Another came and the first shot caused him to fall on the metal stairs. As he tried to get up, the second shot pinned him to the stairs. The door where he came from was no longer possible for him to access. The only one that was left was in front of him. Through the electronic door, he saw another section of the warehouse. This time, sunlight poured from the left side. Troops prowled the warehouse. He knew running into them would be suicidal. He hid behind one of the metal containers with radioactive symbols and scanned the place with his MRI Vision and planned to take out the enemies. He knew his methods would be time-delaying, but it would at least allow him to last through the challenges. One of the guards was on top of the container. With timing and perspicacious use of his Magnetic Field Inducer, he able to use his demarcation principle to clear his way. "Sound the alarm!" More harsh commands came out. He left his hiding place to go behind the one where the now departed guard stood on. He had ample energy to use his cybernetic eye to look through the container. Enemies moved crazily. He kept up concentration from his cybernetic eye and turned his attention to the one wielding the Predator MG. He knew that this mighty weapon would finish him. But the wielder of the Predator MG was now thrown through the opening. He kept himself behind the metal containers. After each minute of energy welling up for his cybernetic eye to be ready, after each use of his Magnetic Field Inducer, one by one, the enemies were flung across the warehouse. He reloaded the Mag-Rail and it was filled up by another, which he approached. He saw where the sunlight came through. It showed a nice view of the sea. On the other side, he saw the outside warehouse. Containers blocked both sides. Through an open exit, he saw that he was now in a site full of huge wheels, metal cable reels, containers, huge pipes and missiles. At the far end were high walls, a watch towers and an archway above an electronic gate. A guard ordered. "Watch it! Drive him back to the docks! He's about to enter the dig site. " The guards came out of their hiding places. One of them fired an AR4 Commando at GoldenEye, forcing him to telekinetically fling him off. However, the heavily armoured one shooting green bolts was caught and skated across the area. It was as though the guard unwittingly sacrificed himself to save the target GoldenEye sought to banish. He was frustrated by such act, but that did not stop him. He used his Mag-Rail and killed the guard with AR4 Commando, making his ally's sacrifice in vain. One of them hid behind huge metal cable reels. Body armours tend not to last, but they helped to some extent. "What's he doing?" shouted a guard. "Get him, NOW!" cried another. Hiding behind the container, MRI Vision, grenades and Mag-Rail were needed for sundering. Enemies spilled through the electronic gates and he ran from container to container. This was not the time for GoldenEye to be brassbound. His heart pounded, he was starting to sweat. He used his Polarity Shield to save himself from the attackers and should remember to conserve his ammo. The objective was to destroy the island. He recalled a similar method on Hoover Dam where he hastily left the guards before and after the Seismic Bomb was dropped. The body of Onatopp was either drifted in the river or crushed beneath the rubble and destroyed tanks. The huge portion of Dr. No’s troops was taken out. Such a huge blow to Dr. No, that was. Like in Hoover Dam, since the mission was about to involve another form of destruction, he abandoned the enemies, and the gate shut down, holding back the enraged soldiers and leaving them to their inexorable outcome. They demanded that he should come back to face them, but he was patient and calculating. The Polarity Shield wore off. He was now in a small area and observed a number of containers, missiles and the watch tower was not accessible. Two Bell Boeing V-22 Ospreys appeared and flew above and fired at GoldenEye who reloaded his Mag-Rail and delivered two shots to the first aircraft. He ran for the ballistic bulletproof armour, before dealing with the second one. Two shots from the Mag-Rail sent second aircraft to pieces. He heard electronic gates opening. A shielded elite named Hood and his assistant came to stop him. He had no time for them. Hood and his henchman were angered for being outsmarted by GoldenEye. The operative screened himself in his Polarity Shield, abandoned them with the other guards who were left behind and went through a huge brightly lit tunnel. Huge pipes on both sides ran through pilasters. His Polarity Shield was fleeting yet effective. He relaxed his legs and waited for couple of minutes till his cybernetic eye was up to any more challenge. With grim determination, GoldenEye approached more of the electronic gates. Electronic gates gave a soft thrum as they opened, letting him through the exit.

The Manta Mark 9 Submersible drifted throughout the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. The voice of Goldfinger communicated through the moon pool's intercom. "I am certain Dr. No has been made aware of your attack on the Octopus, therefore, I cannot deploy the OMEN on Crab Key and risk making it a target. Instead, you must infiltrate the island, and find your way to the central compound." The moon pool bobbed and wove among the moored contact mines suspended by long chains. "Your objective is the nuclear reactor. Once sabotaged, it should destroy the entire island. No's fortress will be heavily defended. A diversion might help you slip past the gates. Use the explosive you so generously charged to my account at the Octopus." Special purpose buoys with radioactive signs drifted lazily on the water. It was unknown who deployed the moored contact mines, before his arrival. The sky was blue and it was usually meant to be a delightful moment. However, it was proven to be the opposite. The Manta Mark 9 Submersible docked at the wharf where GoldenEye got out and offered it a heartfelt farewell, knowing Crab Key would be the subject of destruction. At the far end, a cargo ship carried its entire load in truck-size intermodal containers. Smoke rose out of the cargo ship. Equipped with a HS-90 which he picked from the Octopus, GoldenEye recalled stealth paid off and ran up short steps and dropped it. His SPEC-9 was the least noisy firearm he had. On his right was an explosive-shaped container and another was stacked atop it. A nonobservant guard walked towards his cohort. A bullet from his SPEC-9 to the head, sent him to the ground. More guards patrolled the wharf and GoldenEye reclaimed the HS-90. He crouched and hid behind one of the cubic metal containers with crosses and some had Dr. No's symbol. They spread out to all edges of the wharf. GoldenEye got up and took them by surprise with a toss of a grenade and hid. The guards heard the sound of the tossed grenade. Before they tried to avoid, the explosion caught the three. They heard sounds of explosion. "Intruder!" “How did he get in here?” asked another. After all his lessons, port in a storm usually gave him an advantage to be cautious. More of the armoured guards ran to tempt GoldenEye into doing something reckless. His methods would incur grenades and his HS-90 to sweep the madcap guards off the wharf. Some of the guards struggled to get back on their feet. He mercilessly finished the HS-90 on them. The first section of the wharf was cleared, except for the familiar whirring sounds magnetising his ears. Once again, a Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey came out of nowhere and hovered over him to smite him. GoldenEye took an AR4 Commando, quickly dressed him up in body armours and hid behind one of the intermodal containers. His best way to deal with the aircraft was that he should duck behind it, wait for its armament to overheat and fire the AR4 Commando. Smoke started showing on the rotors. The aircraft ascended higher and GoldenEye took that opportunity to reload. Instead of letting himself exposed to aircraft fire, he saw it coming down and crouched before it started firing at him. The intermodal container was his best way to shelter himself from the aircraft’s attack. He activated his Polarity Shield and fired it at the aircraft. The Polarity Shield was expended due to the gunfire from both aircraft and guards from the other side of the wharf. GoldenEye returned fire. After every limit, reloading was required to keep up the action. Persistence and patience were needed to destroy it. Mercifully, it was destroyed into pieces. There was no sign of the combat pilot's body. Were the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey always on autopilot? He reclaimed his HS-90 and approached a tall switch, tapped it and lowered a raised brown bridge. Enemies called out. "Target acquired!" They kept giving GoldenEye hard time. Here was an uninviting gap waiting to be filled. He hid behind the cubic metal containers next to the lowered bridge. He knew what had to be done. The enemies idly wasted fire, hoping to stop the ruthless and calculating intruder. As he sought refuge behind, he felt familiar risorgimento as he felt in one of the Octopus' rooms where he caused its guards to be electrocuted. He was glad to receive the restorative powers of a bulky cylindrical generator with a reading metre on it and a soft hum that allowed him to be fully re-energised. The guards continued to rain gunfire heavily. The containers did not wither from it. While in hiding, he used his Magnetic Field Inducer to take out the first one. After his cybernetic eye was fully recharged, he repeated the steps until the outer layer of the guards was completely removed. He felt that the generator would grant him the advantage and never felt like he wanted to leave its protection. He now wondered what its purpose was for the workers other than being an oasis for his cybernetic eye. Another thought came into mind about where else he would find any machine with microwave such as this generator to fuel his cybernetic eye. It is only here that he was unaffected by the drain of using its powers over and over again. Near a large red building, a floating crane was on the sea. Its purpose was easily guessed. It was no doubt used to haul intermodal containers from the ships to the wharf and vice versa. He used his cybernetic eye to focus on another switch that was out of reach, bringing down the other bridge. Lesser men would not have the means to get to the other side. The generator gave him an idea to recharge his cybernetic eye. He hid behind the containers next to the generator, allowing him to rekindle his energy. He stayed hidden in the same place and the Magnetic Field Inducer was all it would take to send the enemies skating across the wharf to the sea. Many a time and oft, GoldenEye felt the generator's electricity and magnet would help his cybernetic eye regain its energy. He went to the other side and went along the docks and more of the containers were scattered. A soldier on the cargo ship appeared and attacked him. GoldenEye used his cybernetic eye to yank him out of the ship and hastily retreated back to the generator for its restorative properties and ran to the other side. Down the steps to the lower section of the wharf, a guard ran below him, firing shots from Venom 200ML. Once more he felt himself feeling nausea, his legs became heavy and this time he used his Magnetic Field Inducer to effortlessly cause him to skate to the sea. He recoiled back to the generator to fuel his cybernetic eye, went back and forth and repeated the sequence. It was slow, since the Magnetic Field Inducer was used only once in a while. After his cybernetic eye being fully recharged, he ran to the last place where the guards were, scooped up a Mag-Rail and prepared for more enemies near the large red building. He cautiously walked towards his destination. As he stood wondering how he might go inside the building, footsteps came up from behind. Guards hurried to confront him. GoldenEye knew going through waves of enemies would bring about his death. He backtracked to the generator and went back to the enemies, using his telekinetically pushed one of them to their doom. As slow and strenuous as it was, it was effective in lessening the enemies and his survival was safeguarded. He kept replicating the steps till the enemies were all expunged. A guard fired a Predator MG at GoldenEye. He hid behind one of the containers, used his MRI Vision and fired the Mag-Rail through the container, killing him. The infantry was out of the way, leaving a Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey coming out to torment him. He quickly engulfed himself in his Polarity Shield ran to a small part of the wharf that was opposite the one he was one earlier. The small wharf had containers and quickly hid inside a small shed. He knew hiding was the best option until the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey’s attack ceased. He came out of the shed and two shots from the Mag-Rail sent the aircraft spiraling to pieces. He left the shed and into a small open shack with inclined roof. The shack had body armour and a Predator MG. GoldenEye wore the body armour, went out to on the wharf and refilled ammo for his Mag-Rail. If Jamaica this place was, GoldenEye saw vibrant the sky looked, yet no signs of Jamaicans would greet him with their reggae music, jerk chicken, beef patties or excessive use of cannabis.

    - Part 2 - For the final time, through the double-sided lift, he was now in a deserted room with a carpet, bottom walls were rose gold, vases with plants stood on either side and windows to make him see the views of the ocean. Stairs led him upwards towards a hologram emitter and an exit. The atmosphere happened to make GoldenEye feel relaxed. LED recessed downlights on one side of the floor were lit. He made one final purchase. The female hologram bade him farewell. "Your... Lucifer X-14 explosive has been loaded aboard your... Manta Mark 9 Submersible." GoldenEye went through the door and entered the lift. At this, the machinery ground into life. The lift now began to rise smoothly. "Both are ready for pick-up. Thank you for visiting the Octopus. When in the deep Arctic, drop by our Polar Outlet Centre for extreme weather ordinance. Goodbye and have a pleasant journey." GoldenEye expected his employer to scold him for spending another amount of his money, however he did not shout for unknown reasons. At the same time, GoldenEye had doubts in her statement that his journey neither was nor would be a pleasant one at all. He was fired from MI6 for what was deemed as "reckless brutality", lost an eye by Dr. No, met by several betrayals and went through many strenuous missions that cost him his life and energy. He expected whatever outcome, once Dr. No was defeated. Eventually the lift ground to a halt. He was now in the same room with the octopus-shaped structure, albeit on the upper balcony that surrounded it. "Covering fire!" Six white guards came out of a lift. Bullets hit the rails as reinforcements arrived on the same floor and below. GoldenEye ducked and avoided. Unable to draw a bead due to stacked crates, a dropped grenade dealt most easily with them. The gunfire intensified. He lifted the Harpoon RL from the floor and shot the nearest. "He's got a rocket launcher." a guard panicked. He delivered a devastating accuracy to those below. There stood more explosive barrels, and he aimed for one beside the men. Live by the sword... A fiery explosion engulfed them. Once he collected his Tesla EM and his Mag-Rail, he prepared for his challenge. A shielded elite named Ambler ran to see his troops were killed and was now face to face with the absconder who was now immersed in his Polarity Shield. Both fired their Tesla EM, rendering each other's force field out of action. They fought each other in hand to hand combat until either of them was stunned. Since Ambler was stunned, GoldenEye fired his Mag-Rail and finished him. He was in the lift for the final time and it rose till it reached its height. He was now back to the Entrance Lobby. Enemies were under leadership of Wither. They scattered to corner him. He set about them in the same old style, and soon came under attack from Wither as well. Here, to his relief, was the Docking Bay. As the battle raged back and forth across this area, GoldenEye accidentally used up the Mag-Rail. At least two of his enemies, simultaneously killed, made it count. A black guard on the walkway spotted him and GoldenEye shot his head with his SPEC-9. Wither was trying to halt his extreme adversary and expected to be the one be the great defender of the Octopus. He had a Mag-Rail and a Mamba 12 G. GoldenEye sacrificed his Tesla EM to leave him vulnerable. He used his Magnetic Field Inducer to fling the leading figure to his doom. Drawing the last of the guards even further to the Docking Bay, GoldenEye ran off to the Docking bay and jumped into the Manta Mark 9 Submersible and locked its shutter. With the highly-manoeuvrable midget submarine proving to be bulletproof and armaments were installed, he did not hold back on its power. A folding missile launcher armed with eight forward-firing missiles was hidden beneath a panel on the submarine's tail fin. A pair of forward-firing, pop-up, double-barrelled, machine guns jutted out of the Manta Mark 9 Submersible's front. The last of the guards panicked, knowing their deaths were inevitable. GoldenEye made use of the touch-screen buttons for arming and firing the weapons, killing them. The submarine drifted from the exit and away from the Octopus to Crab Key. Should someone else ever consider of visiting the Octopus, the location would be unknown, even if they did reach it, they might get lost in it or be killed by its mechanical traps. The Octopus was now rendered deserted and defunct since there was no one in charge of the underwater compound.

After few seconds, the lift started moving downward. Through the window, he saw parts of the mountain and the blue sky. Hood and his henchman, no doubt, regrouped with the other guards, probably planning to catch up the strategic one-man army and avenge their fallen allies. Once the lift reached the bottom of the area, he approached the electronic gates which opened themselves. He was now in a place that he realised what it was. A mining cart full of soil and minerals was on the left. Spotlights poured their lights onto the ground. Cables were seen up. Here, his instinct urged further caution and as he approached the mining cart, he quickly went behind it. He followed the mining tunnel to a bigger area. This was no doubt Crab Key's mining complex. A guard approached, stood vedette and saw that it was seemingly quiet. "Nothing to report." The guard went back. GoldenEye breathed in and out until his eye was fully charged. Seeing that he had no time to waste and his Mag-Rail and his grenades were not used yet, he got out of his hiding place and felt there was no possibility for him to try and carefully expropriate the mining complex without alerting the others. He felt SPEC-9 was his best chance for stealth which at least worked fractionally. The guard spotted his adversary and commanded his legion. "Squad Charlie, look alive and open fire on the first sign of him." GoldenEye's Mag-Rail curtailed two guards in a row. Among the scattered rocks and containers, GoldenEye saw the soldier who retreated to his hiding place. He observed the familiar tunnel boring machine, which he saw at Midas Casino. Another caused the others to be in a state of tocsin. "Go, now!" Broken stalactites dangled on the left. Sunlight poured from above and the sky was seen. All the way to the left was another loaded mining cart and an electronic door. One guard attacked and GoldenEye heard sounds of the electronic door opening. There came another guard. Sounds of explosions startled him. He saw a soldier with Harpoon RL. As much as he was tempted into combat, GoldenEye used his Polarity Shield, ran all the way to the left. The guards felt insulted that their opponent would not stand and fight and they tried their best to provoke him. Next to the rocks with metal cable reels and oil drums, a guard came. While heading down the slope, he saw two guards coming to corner him. One of them had a Predator MG and the other had AR4 Commando. He had no hesitation in firing his Mag-Rail at the one firing the Predator MG, scoring direct hit on both of him. GoldenEye ran down the path and noticed a small hole opposite a mine cart. He did not know where it led or wasn't able to squeeze through. He spotted guard near the electronic gates and was killed by the Mag-Rail’s bolt. He was relieved that the guards were too exhausted to catch up with him, whilst Hood and his squad as well as those of Hammersmith were contemplating on dealing with GoldenEye. He expected that there were more enemies waiting for him outside. He rummaged through every dead body for weapons and must decide for what was best for going farther. Mag-Rail was expedient to deal with various enemies, including aircrafts. An unoccupied intercom was mounted on the mine's rocky wall. No one was there to give announcements. Passing the two mine carts and a yellow generator, he saw a wooden ramp bringing him to the other side. On the left side, one mine cart was near a hole and the other farther. On the right side, a loaded mine cart was still. Again, they were all left unattended. He wondered where the miners were.

    - Part 3 - For the final time, through the double-sided lift, he was now in a deserted room with a carpet, bottom walls were rose gold, vases with plants stood on either side and windows to make him see the views of the ocean. He entered into the lift to descend even more. From the death-defying trapped passage he emerged to a serene space. When everything was safe, he decided to investigate the room. The room behind it was pretty large and contains a lot of benches, Egyptian art, structures, stairs and doors. These relics were either stolen or sold illegally from whatever source to the guards running Octopus. Either ways, he had no time to consider. GoldenEye grabbed an HS-90 and entered through a doorway, leading into a hallway full of windows. As he moved through the hallway, dense toxic gas started spraying. GoldenEye realised with a shock that his own life was constantly ebbing away, no matter how hard he tried his best to hurry. The voice warned. "This area is off limits, except for Octopus IS&T staff. Please exit immediately through the forward door or a security alert will be issued." No doubt, any victim who ever tried going through ended up perished. GoldenEye used his eye to hack into the console, causing the door to open. He then entered a vast grey hall and at the far end were double huge cubes. An arrangement of numbers, symbols, or letters in rows and columns flowed downwards within the cubes. This was no doubt the central computer core. Almost reaching his objective, an open door slid down and wall-mounted turrets were activated. His instincts signalled him danger. Cylinders were raised and reinforcements came upwards.

GoldenEye grabbed a Mag-Rail and entered the lift. The electronic door slid automatically and it was sending him downwards. GoldenEye stepped outside of the lift and saw himself in a vast chamber with conical pedestals full of firearms on a balcony. Another balcony at the opposite had the same pedestals and a console. This room was part of the arms trading floor. A guard in white and black hood patrolled back and forth. The gap between the two balconies was wide and it had no means of access for any lesser man. Silence was a requirement and GoldenEye was pondering on clearing the room. He used his MRI Vision to scan through opaque objects and spotted where the guards were. It was obvious he should conserve his energy to use energy-taxing powers. A turret at one side pointed straight at GoldenEye. Thanks to his energy refilled, he focused his mindset onto the turret. Also, needing only to look at a target's mechanics, GoldenEye remembered to pour half of the amount of energy into the turret, overriding it. Thanks to the turret being tampered, it now fired a few shots at one of the guards. He went back into the lift and used his cybernetic eye and peered through metallic curved wall and saw the first guard was killed by the turret. Before his cybernetic eye was completely out of power, he quickly mentally commanded it to stop and let his cybernetic eye recharge. Another was killed by it. Once his cybernetic eye was fully powered up, he saw an unsuspecting black heavily armoured guard below him. After few seconds, He fired his Mag-Rail, sending him to his death. He moved stealthily to the next, but then others came running and threatened to overwhelm him. At this he decided to test the new powers of his right eye. Gaining a little space for himself, he summoned the Magnetic Field Inducer, and though it took a moment to charge, and near drained his energy, the effect was devastating. The guard got out of his hiding place and felt as though he was being pulled by unknown force. Two of the guards were killed by the turret. The guard was unable to stop himself from the being lifted from the ground. The guard was launched and skated miles away through the area. Despite greatly augmenting his cybernetic ocular powers and access to his new additional power, it came at the cost of quickly exhausting him as well as straining his health. GoldenEye rushed up the stairs on the other side, leading him to the balcony. His instincts signalled him to toss a grenade at the incoming guards, blasting them. He fired a detonator at the incoming guards, blasting them on the other balcony. A hologram emitter brought up the reemergence of the same female avatar who continued. "Welcome to the weapons and explosive lots. These lots begin with the number "2" in your action guide. As the authorised purchase for Auric Enterprises, you have a credit ceiling of 18 billion neutral currency units." He noticed the console and it gave him an idea on how to cross the gap. His cybernetic eye helped trigger a mechanical bridge, allowing him to cross. GoldenEye quickly put on his tactical vest and picked up an AR4 and ran to the door which automatically opened. A curved corridor was quite and GoldenEye looked through the window, seeing the view underneath the water. Buoyed by this discovery, he was unable to comprehend who could have been capable in building the Octopus and their survival underneath lest oxygen got depleted. Through the doorway, GoldenEye was in another section of the arms trading floor. An anti-air gun stood and at the far end were explosive drums and a turret. No doubt turret gun would kick into action, should it detect his presence. Hiding in the inclines on the left was his best bet while shooting the enemies there. He hastily triggered his EM Hack to subvert the turret. As it started firing at the guards. GoldenEye fired an explosive dart at the enemies downstairs. More pedestals with firearms. A hologram emitter started displaying the same avatar. "Welcome to the portable arms lots. These lots all begin with the number "5" in your auction guide. Unless otherwise noted, a single lot consists of 1000 units.” The rogue agent fortified himself with the armour and an Mk II. Detonator and grenades. Thanks to the miracles of his cybernetic eye, he was able to heal himself anytime. He went through the door and into a small circular room with a console, showing a 1000,000 Euros. He started tapping a few keys to purchase. The voice expressed gratitude. "Thank you for purchasing... Lucifer X-14 plastic explosives with integrated detonation switch. Your goods will be waiting at the Docking Bay when you depart." He quickly peered through the open door and made use of the closing doors to kill the enemies one by one in an even bigger chamber with pillars, walkways, vehicles and atomic warheads auction lot. A heavily armoured guard had a Predator MG and fired at him, forcing him to hide behind closed doors. Without knowledge, he quickly sent him skating onto two guards. Luckily as GoldenEye got out of his hiding place, the two guards were on the ground. He blasted them with his detonators. On the walkway, a commando approached his adversary who blasted him with a detonator. Gunfire raked up from the room below and walkway at the opposite direction. GoldenEye took advantage of the improved view to toss grenades down on the last of the survivors. Double doors opened at the far end of the room and another guard burst in. GoldenEye jumped down to finish them among the warheads. As he got downstairs, he was faced by reinforcements. These guards had various firearms, which while effective at long range cost vital seconds to reload. GoldenEye took advantage of this disadvantage. The female hologram continued. "Welcome to the vehicle and transportation lots. Those lots all begin with the number "8" in your auction guide. Many of these items can be customised for defence, stealth or luxury. As the authorised agent for Auric Enterprises, you have a credit ceiling of 18 billion neutral currency units." He approached another computer and some keys. The screen showed 100,000,000 Euros. The voice thanked. "Thank you for purchasing... the Manta Mark 9 Submersible. Your watercraft will be fueled and waiting at the Docking Bay upon your departure.”

    - Part 2 - GoldenEye wanted to ask Goldfinger regarding the attackers. Unfortunately, he already cut off, leaving his enforcer to figure out the rest of the coming battle and the mission. GoldenEye attacked the Octopus and made his way under an open archway. Under cabinet high output LED flat panel square lights illuminated the archway’s rim. The walls appeared to be covered in Mahogany. He cautiously went through, leading him to a circular room with light blue sofas encased in brown curved woods, tall curved furniture, concrete objects with plants and an Octopus motif chandelier suspended above. As impressive as it looked, he had no time to admire. He mercilessly took down the unknown owner's henchmen. The AR4 Commando’s ammo was nearly depleted. He took careful aim and shot away the support to wake them up. With several shots, the heavy decoration crashed to the floor, killing several men. He grabbed a HS-90. “Taking sub-machine gun fire!” Urgent shouts erupted and GoldenEye beat a hasty retreat behind one of the curved furniture, continuing the carnage. Here, the guard ran swiftly down stairs and he threw a grenade at him as he came. No doubt they waited GoldenEye’s coming but could not contemplate the possibility of his daring means of entry. The enemies were getting tougher and more abundant, but they weren't anything new. He had rightly guessed that entrance lobby was no picnic. He realised that Octopus was an underwater clandestine auction house, bank and black market owned by an anonymous criminal organisation. He continued his way and reinforcements came out of the lift. He went upstairs and saw more of them on both sides. He flung a grenade at the enemies, causing the explosion to wipe them out. The HS-90 was almost out and he made sure the last shot wasn’t for nothing. He went to the upper floor with blue carpet, concrete objects with plants and at the centre of it was an electronic door. A hand beat GoldenEye’s back. He spotted the last guard and this was his first moment to test the cybernetic eye’s newly developed power. From his mind and instinct, he channeled focus through his eye to select the fourth power. The guard felt himself caught in some unknown force. He struggled to keep himself on his feet, but the power was too great. He panicked when feeling himself lifted off his feet and sent him skating miles away across the room. The new power proved to be telekinesis and for unknown causes, it killed him. Like with other powers derived from his cybernetic eye, until now and then, he still wasn’t able to comprehend how he was able to master and control each. The cybernetic eye acquired powers new: should he find himself hemmed in again he might send a foe skating and knock one or two foes simultaneously. Buoyed by this discovery, GoldenEye was unable to wrap his mind round about how the foe was killed by such force that pushed him away. Maybe he did physics, but this discovery was out of bounds. He did not know what Scaramanga was specialised in or how he got to incorporate the use of magic in his cybernetic eye. Such act was beyond his knowledge. However he was grateful to Scaramanga for his masterpiece. Quietude prevailed and the one-man army ensured good body armours were available for him. He realised that he could use it once in a while. He trudged and went towards the electronic door. It slid open and entered a small circular aluminium room with grey floor and LED white lights surrounded the rim. The room proved to be a lift, going down till it reached the floor below. The aluminium casing revealed a door, allowing it to open. Everywhere was quiet. GoldenEye looked through the windows and saw bubbles rising from the depths of the ocean. There was no time for him to admire the scenery. The enforcer of Goldfinger now entered a lift, taking him downwards. The cylindrical panel covered the door he went through and revealed another. The lift doors slid open and he emerged into a strange looking room. On either sides were red-hued Minus signs as well as drums full of volatile chemical. A green-hued Plus sign was at the opposite direction of him. An Mk2 Detonator gun lay to rest on the floor. GoldenEye picked it up. The aluminium structure at the centre appeared to be in a shape of an octopus. It was icy-blue lit. Above the room was a balcony aligning with its curved walls. Its tentacles were spread across the floor. Circular balcony with metal panels was overhead the floor and surrounded the structure. Pedestals displayed red minus signs on both sides and the green plus sign opposite him. He went on a bridge, snatched an Mk 2 Detonator, moved forward through the structure. The way in the direction of the green plus sign was blocked by crates. The white guards in addition to large guards in black armours with SPECTRE symbol on the chest areas, helmets, red goggles ran to stop him. "Open fire!" GoldenEye ran back to the bridge where he came from and hid behind the metallic rails to shield himself from gunshots. While taking fire, he made use of his grenades to get as many as he could. When seeing the black guards, this was another moment to try making use of the Magnetic Field Inducer, sending the sturdy elite skating miles away to his quietus. At this point, GoldenEye was becoming adept with this eye power. One of the guards observed. "He's using a GoldenEye." Body armours, grenades, the explosive drums and his Mk2 Detonator were crucial. He ducked as enemy fire came towards him. He was shot. Judging by his wounds, they weren't too severe. Even if they were, his self-healing power kept him long. Although his eye and head were aching due to excessive use of its miracles, he had no choice but to cloak himself in the force field. The Mk2 Detonator, explosive drums and grenades swept the enemies. With such pooling, he was able to hold off a savage onslaught from the likes of the dense black-armoured elites. He approached another hologram emitter and the same hologram of the woman who declared. "You have breached Octopus security. Place all weapons on the floor and your hands above your head." GoldenEye realised this was for obvious security reasons, but in a situation with the guards, there's no alternative but to defy this order and clear the area. When he was faced with the last guard, GoldenEye threw up his block and challenged him directly. They paced around the octopus-like structure. As automatic fire chattered about GoldenEye turned and picked off the first of the guards. He cautiously used his Polarity Shield and threw grenades to force them to roll aside. This gave him time to unload his HS-90. At the same time, heavily armoured guards in black with red visors and red face masks came down to bar the rogue agent from entering the green-hued area. Leaving the last guard standing, GoldenEye kept up his Polarity Shield. The guard punched GoldenEye who chose that precise moment to counter-strike with his Polarity Shield. The force field parried the blow and the guard's writhing body was now rendered lifeless.

The voice of Scaramanga offered. "Your skills warrant a more sophisticated upgrade. Something a bit more sinister." he continued, "To that end, I've procured a special upgrade that features the world's most advanced magnetic field transducer. With it, you can briefly align ambient magnetic fields, and focus them briefly to strike a target. The effect, for the victim, is decisive the least to say. You can control the trajectory of the victim as you move. This enables tactics such as pulling targets to seize their weapons or colliding adversaries into one another. Practice and perfect the magnetic field, GoldenEye. This completes your arsenal.” Imbued with his final ocular power, GoldenEye felt the challenge was even greater than the customary ones he went through. He found the test simulation constructive in learning the art of combat. Both men looked at a large screen which displayed a photograph of an island with mountains. "This is the only known photograph of the infamous Crab Key. Dr. No's private base of operations. Its location is guarded like a state secret. We don't even know where the coordinates might be." "Actually, Auric there is one place..." a voice prompted. They turned to see a silhouette of a man with a bald head and fluffy white Persian cat in hand approaching. He placed a finger onto a touchscreen table, which featured a world map. The map expanded and showed Atlantic Ocean and ultimately blueprint schematics of an Octopus-shaped structure, to the south-west of Cape Verde. Goldfinger realised. "Of course! The octopus! It is our auction house, bank, and blackmarket all in one.” Located on the ocean floor, a moon pool headed towards the Octopus' entrance, which was presumably on the upper section above a circular building with four rows of brightly lit windows. The voice of Goldfinger continued. "Its computer core holds Dr. No's most secure data. Getting in will be the easy part." The submersible came out of a pool of water and into view. GoldenEye got out of the vehicle with his SPEC-9 and stepped onto a floor, which was covered by green carpet. This was the docking bay. The walls were covered by wooden panels. Above him, a metal walkway mesh was built in one corner. Above the pool, four fluorescent tubes arched above a crossway steel bar grating metal walkway. An assault rifle was placed in a corner on a pilaster. He was greeted by hologram of a beautiful woman with brunette hair in white sleeveless short dress, standing on a short circular pedestal. “Welcome to the Octopus. Please remain still for recognition scan. You have been identified as the authorised agent for… Auric Enterprises. You may credit with this account with any bid or purchase made today. Thank you, Mr…. GoldenEye.” Wooden crates were placed near the stone rails covered in white and gold casing on its top. Brilliant LED white lights surrounded the pool submersible. To his surprise, he spotted a guard in white with black helmet, goggles and body armour. On the back of his armour was a symbol of SPECTRE. Two sentry posts were seen at the end of the pool. He wondered whether the guards were allies or enemies, hoping they would let him through without any form of bloodshed. He subtly silenced one guard with his SPEC-9, hoping no one would suspect his presence. He was relieved that no one heard the sound of gunshot for a while. He saw past the submersible, another guard patrolled. Above the walkway opposite his direction, a small console featuring a blue "up" arrow and a red "down" arrow stood on a small square platform. Below the walkways on both sides of the pool, were eight fluorescent tubes (four on each). He angled his SPEC-9 at the guard’s head, he quickly silenced him. Knowing that this trick would not last, he walked gently and saw two sentry posts with guards on them. Giving him a bullet from his SPEC-9 to the head, the guard on the first sentry post was given a quick and silent death. He saw that he would in a moment battle the guards in a close struggle, trading blow for blow. He would relish it. Suddenly, the guards and those on the other sentry post and walkway above treated him as an enemy. “Target sighted!” It was unknown who they worked for, which organisation do they belong. Goldfinger authorised him to be in the Octopus. As gunshots spread, GoldenEye grabbed the AR4 Commando and returned fire. As he did not know how to save himself, he encased himself in his force field to shield himself from bullets. The area was clear and the familiar laptop fortunately was not destroyed by gunshots. He walked to make inquiries. He brought Scaramanga’s words to mind. “You can control the trajectory of the victim as you move. This enables tactics such as pulling targets to seize their weapons or colliding adversaries into one another. Practice and perfect the magnetic field, GoldenEye.” His thoughts were disrupted by Goldfinger’s voice through his headset. “You must locate the central computer core and download the navigation coordinates for Crab Key. Good luck, GoldenEye!”

Through a door with a green light flashing next to it, GoldenEye was now on a small balcony. A Longbow SR lay on its edge. The balcony overlooked a vast chamber. Sunlight poured through large windows. An oil tank was on the left. Metal crates were messily placed on the floor and shelves. Platforms with small metal containers were suspended by cables from metal walkways above the balcony and the ground. At the far end was a huge brass shutter. It was no doubt meant to deter flood. He did not intend to perish by flood. Voices were heard. He must be cagey to single out the guards. A least armoured guard paced and stopped almost below the balcony. He cautiously aimed and fired a shot to his head, killing him. Another armoured guard with an AR4 Commando walked and stopped near the metal crates. He must be sure not to mistime his shot. There was no room for recklessness. Should one shot whizz past him, such action would bring about attack from the guards. He kept a steady aim and shot him. A third guard with Jackal .357 in both hands walked and GoldenEye fired a shell to pin him to the ground. The last trooper came near the oil tank and was grilled by the explosion. Its ammo was depleted. He walked on the balcony and observed that it was clear, at least for the time being. He spotted a hole with a ladder and carefully went down and jumped to the ground. He surveyed the vast chamber and tranquility was peppered by sounds of gunshots and explosions. Wave of foes led by an identical elite in energy shield called Volker confronted the intruder to prevent him from getting to the freight. He surveyed the vast chamber and the tranquility was peppered by sounds of gunshots and explosions. Wave of foes led by an identical elite in energy shield called Volker confronted the intruder to prevent him from getting to the freight. One of the guards fell from the impact done by Mamba 12G. He saw him trying to get up and finished him with the Jackal .357. "Finish him!" ordered Volker. He went for the AR4 Commando and caused the magnetic shield to wear off and Volker was left vulnerable. GoldenEye showed how intransigent he was and dealt the final blow to Volker, before grabbing his AR4 Commander. It wasn't over yet. One of Volker's subordinate's voice ordered. "Move in!" He hid behind the metal crates and carefully tackled every guard who tried to stop him. They stood no chance; by the time he got them, they were bodies to plunder. Shots came from the overflow chamber inside and with a lobbed grenade a lone trooper met the same fate. A male voice called out through the intercom. "Intruder Alert! Enemy agent identified as "Oddjob" sighted in the West Turbine building. Combat teams respond! Intruder Alert!" "Mind your back!" He bobbed and wove amid the crates and the shelves. He quickly threw up his Polarity Shield and patience was tested in various ways. He had no time to waste with combat within the Dam. After all, Goldfinger's words reminded him that the seismic bomb would sweep them away. "He's using a shield!" Wind moaned across the vast chamber. A yellow freight lift was what he was looking for. He ran into it. The freight lift was set to operation and the enemies fired nugatory shots upwards. The freight lift reached its maximum height and he came onto the metal walkway. He saw himself standing above the balcony where he diagnosticate Volker's division and he was now heading in the direction of a large overhead control room with steel staircases on both sides. The room full of overhead screens, fuse boxes and control panels. GoldenEye spotted three of the guards who were laying in wait. His mind allowed his Polarity Shield paper over the user, allowing him to be close to the guards. He remembered punching them with the Polarity Shield around him would be mortiferous for them. Another call from the intercom signalled. "Security Alert! Communication lost to overflow chamber four. Lock-Down protocols are in effect now. Security Alert!" As irrelevant as it was, curiosity struck into his mind as to who was behind the microphone would call for reinforcements. With his stock renewed, he headed off in pursuit of Dr. No. A ladder was his available route to go forward. He went up and was into a small room with small light bulbs and above him was an open gap, leading to somewhere unknown. Two electronic brass doors opened at his approach. At the bottom right corner, dense pipes were affixed the walls. The ceiling bore pipes and cooling fans. Two electronic doors had red lights and signs marked "KEEP OUT - AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY". These were purposely shut, except those authorised would work within the Dam. No technicians, engineers or other forms of field works were available. They were probably killed by Dr. No's troops. GoldenEye ran into a guard and bludgeoned him till he was dazed. When he was temporarily inaction, GoldenEye dropped his AR4 Commando, gave a shot to the head with his SPEC-9 and picked it up again.

The subterranean vault was flooded by all of Dr. No's troops who attacked him from various places in Midas Casino - the lifts and the basement. The Main Vault was now accessible for GoldenEye to enter. The Main Vault was a small and dark circular room, flashed red. Oddjob primed the OMEN for firing, before being airlifted to safety by Miss Galore who promised. "GoldenEye, I'll be back!" Bars and electronic shutters fastened to prevent GoldenEye's escape. Something was wrong, he could sense it. The guards appeared indefatigable, believing they got GoldenEye cornered. What else was he supposed to do other than thinking about a way out? The troops implemented the blitzkrieg strategy to swiftly attack and overwhelm him. Comtemplating on dealing with the enemies, GoldenEye knew that here was a big demand for assiduous use of his Polarity Shield, hiding spots and Predator MG to start railroading. He gasped sharply as he spotted Keyes led his division to ambush him. Some of the invaders were lessened by the turrets, granting GoldenEye a moment's respite. He eliminated Keyes. Wondering how long it would take for Miss Galore to return, GoldenEye turned to deal with Latimer's other division. They seemed inexhaustible. It was as much as he could do simply to fend each group off. His cybernetic eye was burnt out. His energy was leaving his body. Ammo ran out. At the point of expecting help, he heard the voice of Goldfinger. "This is a perfect time to test the OMEN. Activate the trigger! Don't worry, Ms. Galore will pull you out of range before it detonates!" The OMEN was raised to the surface. He quickly tested the device, before what would seem to be his coming demise. A cable dropped from an opening above. Relieved to escape from ambuscade, GoldenEye was quickly hauled out by Miss Galore and Oddjob. The shutter closed above Dr. No's troops. Her helicopter left Midas Casino. The troops from various parts of Midas Casino regrouped to get to their escaped target. They were unaware of the fearful device being activated. Recklessly they charged in. A storm of chemiluminescence burst forth. The energy wave whirled about the Main Vault and it proved to be corrosive. The assembled company were caught in the energy wave and the troops were all oxidised to dust particles. Not a single soul, except their armours, helmets and weapons were left behind. Such sophisticated weapon the OMEN was invented that no living being would have lasted. The theft was foiled and Midas Casino was rendered deserted. Perhaps crime rate would have reduced if used on streets and prisons.

    - Part 2 - Slow as it was yet forcible, GoldenEye was impressed with its performance. The guard did what appeared to be a fatal mistake, one that cost him his life. He knew that melee attack done by anyone in a force field would kill them instantly. Catching whatever was left of his breath, GoldenEye climbed upstairs and stayed at the entrance. He observed the surrounding and saw red live wire trailing from a wall mounted electricity breaker to the floor and a wooden crate stood in a corner. Several troops came into the vicinity of water and the live wire, hoping to catch the intruder. The panel provoked his instincts to trigger electricity from a distance. A guard cried. "I spotted him." GoldenEye grabbed a Jackal .357 and shot the few last men in the heads. There was an investigation to be done in this room. A casino table was turned on its side, wooden crates and a toppled ventilation shaft was on the floor. This place was easily guessed. No doubt its workers had to come down for forms of repair jobs. GoldenEye ran through an open entrance, up the stairs and came onto a narrow balcony. A soldier commanded. "Get him!" He haphazardly shot the enemies on the balcony. They wielded AR4 Commando and recklessly bestrewed GoldenEye's Polarity Shield armour and the area with bullets. He knew shooting them in the head would earn greater rewards. Enemies below shouted. "He's using some kind of shield." He took the AR4 Commando, went downstairs and gave them execution warrant. Fortunately for the curved silver furniture in the centre of the room, GoldenEye was able to maintain his Polarity Shield. Dr. No's heavily armoured elite ran to hinder his progress. Thanks to his Polarity Shield, he gave the elite a coup de grâce and a headshot to Dr. No's soldier. He remembered that to deal with the shield-enhanced elites was to use the refined energy control and concentration required in his Polarity Shield to enhance his strength to Herculean levels. This was done by storing the Polarity Shield's effects into his hand, and releasing it onto the target with pinpoint timing. With this strength, GoldenEye could kill opponents with a single heated strike. He knew he must use his cybernetic eye very wisely. He must be sure not to be exorbitant whenever it comes to using his eye or he'd risk blindness. He saw the balcony had sofas. Televisions on wall partitions displayed Dr. No's symbol and later flickered to Midas Casino. Six-sided televisions were suspended from the ceiling. Below the balcony were slot machines. Most were destroyed by the gunshots. He ran up small stairs and got out of the room. GoldenEye noticed three pedestals with light blue panels in the middle of the room. Sofas cluttered onto each other. Bronze electronic doors, at the far, end appeared to be smashed. Signs of wreckage never left his eyes. Without warning, the pedestals were in fact lifts reaching its maximum height. From the cylindrical lifts, enemy troops came out. His AR4 Commando and bodyguard kept him going. He effortlessly eliminated them. Goldfinger's voice observed. "The entrance is blocked - you'll have to find another way to reach the vault!" He refilled his AR4 Commando, ensuring it was completely full and his bulletproof vest was renewed. He went down the stairs and was momentarily distracted by the emergence of a tunnel boring machine with triple ends. This machine gave him an idea that the tunnel was already obvious. He agglutinated his thoughts and energy. He was wary of the soldiers wielding weapons especially Mk2 Detonator. The guard fired a detonator, forcing GoldenEye to throw up his energy shield with alacrity. The detonator was deflected and exploded. He spotted a soldier on a light blue car model which was on several slot machines. He finished him, before getting to the others on the balcony and on the ground. In any case, GoldenEye wasted no time and ran through the room clockwise towards the hole in the floor.

The Mk2 Detonator and HS-90 were demanded at this point. GoldenEye stepped into the lift and it would start to slowly descend. He was startled by enemy fire. The best way for him was to avoid enemy attacks by crouching behind the metal panels, hoping to make it harder for enemies to hit him. Some of Goldfinger's troops fired at the enemies. One of Dr. No's soldier entered a lift opposite him. An empty lift descended. A soft ping sound was heard, signifying its stop at a specific floor. Hastily, he got out of the former and onto an empty floor with locked electronic doors. He desperately sought to lend assistance to his allies who were nowhere to be found or debris blocked his way to get to them. Iron bars were visible amid the rubble. A cable was seen dangling with electric sparks visible. He admitted himself to the next left. It started operating, bringing him to the floor which was further below. Again, GoldenEye hid behind the metal panels to shield himself. An empty lift, facing him, went downwards. The lift stopped at its destination. The lift doors opened. He discovered that he was on an identical floor with locked electronic doors, except for huge pots on pedestals and a stainless steel multifunctional hotel lobby concierge half birdcage luggage trolley. Their suitcases were left behind, probably caught in the crossfire between Dr. No's troops and those of Goldfinger. Sounds of gunfire signaled their presence. “Target has left the elevator! Trap him in there!” GoldenEye quickly bounded to his allies' side. One of Goldfinger's guards was killed and his Harpoon RL was left behind. He made use of the legacy he left behind and delivered deleterious exactitude, wiping out the merciless invaders led by Onatopp. GoldenEye spotted a damaged floor button and electricity fizzed, probably damaged during the attack. For whatever reasons, GoldenEye's EM Hack couldn't make the vegetating lift spring to operation. Detritus of what was left of the aircraft, which was destroyed earlier, were seen where it crashed to. It was possible the hotel guests were killed by the explosion, probably when watching the view from the balcony. Or they fled to their rooms. Their fate was left unknown. GoldenEye ran from his spot and turned right where the last soldier stood. He delivered at parting gift to him. He took his Mk2 detonator and HS-90 and saw all the lifts were out of use. The last one appeared to show that it was available. Doors opened. He went in and expected company. The lift, once more, was going towards the ground floor. From various directions, the enemies poured their attacks onto the lift. GoldenEye felt the lift made a spasmodic jerk. He was unable to find out the cause of the lift to stop so soon. After few seconds, expeditiously, the lift slid at a fast pace. He was alarmed by the sight of grinding sparks, fearing the lift might either come off or reach the point of explosion. At its desuetude, GoldenEye leapt out of the lift and heard gunshots and explosions. He spotted his allies under fire. The rubble was one of the objects he could use as temporary refuge. Conflagration was visible. “Stop him before he reaches the lobby!” He fired a detonator at the enemies, probably avenging the guests without knowledge. All crumpled with dying groans. Pleased with his abilities, he was able to save his allies.

Through the doors, this appeared to be a room. He observed that on both sides of where he was were pictures of the same girls. To his left was a small bar with glass bottles on it and a brilliant green screen was lit and a green shelf had glasses on each row. Over the bar was small glowing bulbs suspended from cords. Two guards stood there - one behind it and the other out of it. Next to it was a sun-baked curved wall with pale blinds looming over some sofas. Opposite him were three televisions displaying Dr. No's symbol. Faint red LED strip lights were around the ceiling and upper windows were set to one side. Spotlights poured its rays over a piano on a podium with short steps. This place was meant to entertain the guests, but none were there to attend. The voice of Onatopp welcomed the guest. "Welcome to Club Onatopp... The next performance kills." Onatopp stood next to a piano and showed a twisted sense of humour, before leaving him to her guards. This was no form of entertainment, but the killing performance (literally!) took place. He threw a grenade at the bar. The guards ducked, hoping nothing would harm them. One of them was killed, leaving the one behind the bar standing. Guards appeared below and from the upper windows. An armoured guard left his position to fire his Jackal .357 at him. The death blow from his Predator MG was needed to outmatch him him. Metal plating on rails shielded him from gunfire and allowed him to return fire. The fight was going well, but sounds of a missile whistling towards him forced him to use the Polarity Shield. He knew there was nowhere to avoid it. The missile exploded, taking quite an amount of energy that kept the magnetic shield going. He went down short stairs to a lower platform with small sofas and gave the squad on the lower ground a feel of the Predator MG. The confinement space made them feel cornered. The explosion got them, but the guards above were left. One almost fired a Harpoon RL, but fell to his HS-90. He tossed the grenade at those above, raking them out. Everything went quiet. He got down the stairs from the lower platform to the ground level. He turned to see where the guards stood. This solidly locked electronic doors was where Onatopp fled, but it was unknown where it led to. As he was collecting ammo for his HS-90, grenades and ballistic vests, he saw metal benches with small tables next to them. Again, he never got a chance to have a drink to regain his energy.

A Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey was seeing flying about the gambling hall. Whatever was this place? Or how could the aircraft get inside? There was no time to consider. As the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey fired at GoldenEye, he activated his Polarity Shield and fired his Predator MG at it, destroying it. Its remains fell and scattered across the ground. Slow as it was yet forcible, GoldenEye was impressed with its performance and was very grateful to destroy it with ease. As he continued through the hall, he was blocked by more waves of enemies who came between the gambling machines in the lower area. At all cost, GoldenEye beat a guard. Once the guard stood dazed, he grabbed him and went all around the slot machines. The SPEC-9 was enough to deal swift kills by simply shooting them in the head. With no further use, he threw the guard to his death. Flashing lights, above the lower area, moved upwards. Signs of wreckage were everywhere. In the crash debris a cluster of gas canisters boiled in flames. Some of the gambling machines were toppled. Two doorways at the far end awaited him. Pictures of beautiful girls were put on display. GoldenEye did not seem to fall for their beauty nor were the troopers interested in being enticed by them. He ran into a narrow bare room with sun-baked coloured walls, small dark coloured electronic doors and the pictures of the girls. The ceiling had recess lights. Two foes confronted him, but were diminished. GoldenEye like a scalded cat grabbed the Predator MG, a bullet proof vest and skimmed to get to the door.

GoldenEye wondered why his allies did not want to join him. Maybe they decided to stay and secure the floors, lest more of Dr. No's troops invade. He approached the double bronze electronic doors with the emblem "Midas Casino". He ran over shallow steps which began to descend left. Chelsea plaster up down modern minimalist wall lights were etched along the walls. He interrupted his course, ensuring he did not alert the enemies below. One guard walked away from him. With his back turned on GoldenEye, he silently shot his enemy in the head. This was no doubt the Casino Main Floor. His action made many enemies in the gambling hall come out from hiding behind the bar and the gambling machines. The best option for GoldenEye was to try to shoot reinforcements from the stairs in crouched position. Some were out of reach. Bullets splintered the heavy wooden bar as GoldenEye lunged behind it. One approached with HS-90 ready but a little too lackadaisically, expecting a helpless man to be cowering behind the bar. He poked his head around. Bullets blasted him backwards. The other men stood in stunned surprise as GoldenEye jumped up with SPEC-9 drawn. Such situation would lead him to require to make use of his Polarity Shield, if necessary and to work his way along the bar to take out the enemies behind it and also the ones between the gambling machines. Despite the quietness he earned, he felt he was being watched. He made his way through the gambling machines. "Jackpot!" a guard called out. In the back on the left, there was a passage to the rest of this room, there were a couple of standard enemies. GoldenEye grabbed a HS-90 and a Mamba 12g. To fight them all at once would mean death. He got clued up about one slow yet effective method that would ensure his safety since Auric Enterprises and Hong Kong. He bore wisdom and was very calculating whenever it comes to safety. He tempted the enemies to come to face him near his temporary den. One by one came to him and one by one fell to his Mamba 12g. The enemies were led by a powerful elite with a bald head and stubble who appeared to be cloaked in a force field. GoldenEye judged that the Polarity Shield was similar to his and the uniform was similar to Dr. No's soldiers. GoldenEye must watch out for Thorson's Predator MG for such weapon was a 7.62×51mm NATO six-barrel rotary machine gun with a high rate of fire (2,000 to 6,000 rounds per minute. No one would have lasted against such mighty weapon, unless fortunate with the Polarity Shield. In his trepidation, his mind slipped into using EM Hack to cause Thorson to fire his Predator MG wildly. He quickly activated his Polarity Shield, after his recovery. At least, Thorson's shots missed his target. The best way to approach them was to hide behind one of the casino tables and shoot from cover. He dropped his Mamba 12g and threw grenades their way to get them. The enemies were vacuumed and Thorson tried to get up. GoldenEye's Polarity Shield was fortunately still activated. He knew to approach an enemy would mean melee attack from him. The leading elite recklessly tried to punch his opponent. He was palliated to see that Thorson's heedlessness of probable consequences got him somehow killed, since his Polarity Shield would inflame his power into a deadly punch. A lesson he grasped regarding Polarity Shield - it not only shielded him from all forms of attacks, but it channeled power into a punch that both regular and shielded ones would kill them in a fraction of a second. GoldenEye picked up the Predator MG and examined its design. The troops were no more. He finally got to relax and tried to appreciate the tranquility he worked hard for. Above the gambling machines, television screens featured a purple screen "Midas Casino" and flickered to Dr. No's symbol. Sounds from gambling machines were heard. GoldenEye looked at the table games. These tables were used for various games - craps, baccarats and blackjacks. The bar would usually have a bartender polishing glasses and customers would sit by for their alcoholic beverages. None but invited guests could enter here, and unfortunately there seemed no way for GoldenEye to leave. GoldenEye wanted to relax on one of the sofas or grab a glass of beverage or play games on the gambling machine probably winning a jackpot. He glanced out across the room and saw rubble and a hole in the ground. This was his only way to go through. He carefully jumped into the hole and followed the tunnel. The air in the tunnel was dusty and his throat was dry. Jump out of the tunnel and mow down the opponents in the service corridor. On its wall, "Area 01" was marked. Pipes, square fluorescent lights and cables trailed from one end of the ceiling to the other end. This was where Xenia Onatopp walked through in the hopes of getting her hands on the OMEN. He saved the Predator MG for what was needed the most. He shot the unwary guard in the head with his SPEC-9 and this caused the troops to spot him. He shot a fire extinguisher. It burst, killing him. Another was taken out by his SPEC-9. He ran through and right towards more enemies who were up a short flight of stairs. A grenade effortlessly liquidated them. He must now follow those to the stairs and sounds of the whirr from the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey were heard. Beyond it to go through some doors, he ended up in another gambling hall.

    - Part 2 - In any case, GoldenEye wasted no time and ran through the room clockwise towards the hole in the floor. He was ready to jump through it without second thoughts and entered an icy-blue lit tunnel. Cables with electricity were joined. He severed it, electrocuting a guard. The second and third fell to his AR4 Commando. Goldfinger's voice commanded. "These machines have burrowed down to the vault. Follow one of the tunnels and protect the OMEN!" What would Dr. No do once he got hold of the OMEN? A thought that came to his mind. While Goldfinger's reasons to clash with Dr. No were his own, GoldenEye vowed to make the man pay for his eye. He was in a rough icy blue lit underground passage. There was no means to climb back out. He was at the top of a passage and there was only one way to go. Two guards were near severed cables with electric sparks. He fired at the cable, killing two of them and shot the third one on the left. He went forward and saw a narrow slit to his right. He made use of the slit, spotted two guards and fired his AR4 Commando through it. The guards’ attacks were in vain and gunshots were traded. GoldenEye suffered minor gashes whilst casualties on the other side were heavy. Three guards came only to be pinned down by gunshots. Down. He ran and ran, down and down, further with each step but no deviation in the soon maze-like tunnel. Going down the tunnel sent his head into a spin. The tunnel could be a maze down there, but as long as he followed his instincts, he'd always end up at the right place, at the entrance of the big vault. His AR4 Commando was now out of commission. He forced to drop it and picked up a HS-90. The principles of going through the tunnel was to plough through them with it. "He's moving deeper." a guard shouted. Below his feet, three armoured guards and helmets fired their weapons at him. GoldenEye threw a grenade, sweeping them out. He must do his best to be on his toes for a lot of enemies that could appear from all around him. The passage seemed never ending: on and on it went, down, down, he ran, and ran, and ran. Even as he thought he had descended to madness, he saw bright light through a doorway ahead. As he ran forward, the dirt passage gave way to vast underground chamber with the same tunnel boring machine and gold bullions, which were agglutinated. GoldenEye wondered how much deeper could this place ever get. As he was about to dwell on it, the voice of Goldfinger snapped him back to attention. "The invaders hacked into the vault security network. Look for control stations and override the system manually." Without hesitation, GoldenEye ducked behind shelf with small metal containers and weathered the guards' attacks. He ran to a switch with red light and number 1 marked on the window. He tapped the console, opening Gate 1. Before leaving, a mounted turret above the now opened gate fired its shot at GoldenEye. He instantly got an idea to prevaricate the turret into firing onto the enemies. Such course of action would be in his favour. Behind him, Gate 4 was shut. There was a lot more to unlock the Main Vault. The main vault was a small circular room with covered windows around it. As he went through the bending tunnel to the next chamber, the guards got out. "Flush him out!" He threw grenades at the guards and decimated them. He took the door to the room on the side, where the enemies were under lead of a shielded elite, Pittman. Not to get too confident though; a nip was all it would take to send him to his agonising demise. The HS-90 and grenades were needed to deal death to the troops and depletion of Pittman's force field. GoldenEye veiled himself in his Polarity Shield, before getting close to him. After he got back on his feet, Pittman underestimated GoldenEye. His Polarity Shield countered Pittman's punch and sent the elite to his doom. GoldenEye recalled the Predator MG being effective on both aircrafts and infantry. He must be sure to not waste it. In this room there was also another switch. He went to get to the switch, causing the next gate to open. A voice urged. "Secure the OMEN!" There were now only two more to go. Follow the bending tunnel through Gate 2, GoldenEye knew what danger lay ahead. He was greeted by yet another vicious booby-trap device, this a mounted turret. Recalling how he altered it, once more, he subverted it. As expected, another shielded elite, Armstrong, called out his subordinates to weaken GoldenEye. Despite their numbers, they were no match for his Predator MG and the Polarity Shield deflected the incoming detonator. It exploded. He felt himself in desperate need of finding a way to reenergise his cybernetic eye fast, yet there was nothing in the room of any description that could save him. After mowing them down, he ran towards the switch and used it to open Gate 3. He continued through the tunnel and even faced heavy resistance from enemies under Chappell's leadership. The enemies were quashed by his Predator MG, before he entered the side chamber. Chappell wasn’t any much for the Predator MG which was now in his enemy's hands. Another string of enemies were here. This time, Barth was in the lead. He also wielded a Predator MG. GoldenEye remembered about dealing with the elites. He took out the rest first and then used his grenades, heavy weaponry and his Polarity Shield. Such combination at his disposal were enough to rout them out. He was exhausted and felt that he wanted to leave the area as quickly as possible. To that end, he went to turn on the switch to open Gate 4. The voice of Miss Galore called out. "More of Dr. No's soldiers are in the tunnel - you can't take them all on! Grab the cable and we'll get you out of there!" The subterranean vault was flooded by all of Dr. No's troops who attacked him from various places in Midas Casino - the lifts and the basement.

Due to his injuries in Hong Kong, GoldenEye returned to Scaramanga for a third examination regarding his damaged cybernetic eye. "Dr. No's elite forces elite forces are equipped with greater firepower than the troops you've faced so far. To counter the increased threat, your latest upgrade is designed to generate a magnetic polarity shield capable of deflecting all damage for a short period of time. Operating the Magnetic Shield consumes energy, which increases significantly when the shield is taking direct fire. You can use this to your advantage during melee engagements, as a single strike will discharge the entire shield into your victim at a close range. This is a powerful tool indeed. Use it wisely." The surgery was done and he was fully recovered. GoldenEye was once more summoned by Goldfinger for whatever assignment he got for him. "To safeguard the OMEN against Dr. No, I have moved it to my most secure vault... beneath my casino, in Las Vegas." Inside the meeting room, a large screen displayed the world map. Goldfinger tossed a small circular chip marked "Midas Casino". The chip swirled to a stop on the table. His boss touched a touchscreen button on a table and the map zoomed into the United States map and ultimately a dreadful slender woman with short black hair in a black short sleeved crop top and black jeans. "However, my agents have already spotted the treacherous Xenia Onatopp." Onatopp was seen walking with an AR4 Commando in a corridor. It was obvious that she was employed by Dr. No as his chief enforcer to participate in the underworld feud between Dr. No and Goldfinger and led half of his forces in an assault on Midas casino in Las Vegas. "She can be there for only one reason - to steal the OMEN. Very likely, her attack will have started by the time you arrive." Miss Galore's customised fuchsia pink helicopter arrived in Las Vegas where a fleet of Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey swarmed across the air. One of the aircrafts fired a missile onto a building's roof. Miss Galore observed. "I'm eavesdropping on Dr. No's frequency - sounds like the action's concentrated in the lowest levels, near the vault." The voice of Goldfinger continued. "Oddjob is already on the ground. Your fastest entrance will be through the Sky Lounge. You must begin there, then work your way down. Protect the OMEN at all costs." GoldenEye stood inside a small lift, which ascended to the top floor. A small screen inside the lift displayed "40". Armed with new properties, his cybernetic eye was almost complete. The Sky Lounge's atmosphere gave a relaxing feel. Its right wall was painted warm brown colour, the left one was covered in Mahogany panels and recessed lights were set in one corner. Small sofas leaned against the wall and a mounted television displayed "Midas Casino". On a small table was a familiar laptop and next to it was a Mamba 12g. He looked at the computer screen to decipher the question mark in order to find out how to work out the Polarity Shield and what it did. He picked up the Mamba 12g and intended to start his mission. A curved sofa was placed near curved stairs. Plants stood on either side of the lift doors. Glass concentric rings surrounded the stairs. GoldenEye felt this was a calm before the storm. He went upstairs and came to a bronze door with brass emblem "Midas Casino" on it. It split open, upon his approach. Onatopp stood under a fabulous crystal chandelier, fired her AR4 Commando at it and mocked. "Goldfinger's new cowboy." Onatopp cartwheeled and narrowly escaped the heavy glass decoration, which crashed to the ground, barring GoldenEye from reaching her. He fired his SPEC-9 at her, in hopes of getting her. The gunshots were in vain. She ran upstairs and continued. "Watching you die will be pleasurable." The area was full of gambling machines. Some were in recesses, others in sight. Casino tables stood. Windows were all around the top floor. GoldenEye heard sounds of rotors and spotted the similar attack helicopter he saw back in Hong Kong. The only thing he could do was face Dr. No's troops. The voice of Goldfinger urged through his headset. "GoldenEye! There's not enough cover to battle an aircraft! Use your Eye Shield to fight it!" The word "not enough cover" gave GoldenEye an idea and shifted his eyes to a red-lit switch and brought down electronic shutters to shield the window at one side. He expedited his actions to do the followings - grab a Harpoon RL and to wait behind a toppled casino table. As he was in a state of apprehensiveness, GoldenEye, by some miracle, was able to obnubilate himself within an invisible force field which was anchored to him and him to it. The missile repeated blasting the toppled casino table. He, in the twinkling of an eye, fired missiles from the Harpoon RL and sent the dismantled helicopter to the streets of Las Vegas. He went down short steps to a floor covered in red carpet. Gambling machines were destroyed by the helicopter's blast, natheless plants still stood unaffected. GoldenEye retrieved his Mamba 12g and advanced towards the end. All of a sudden, Dr. No's guards swung from outside and broke through the windows. Reloading the Mamba 12g between each shot, caused him to feel irritated in situations when he was under fire. Again, he enshrouded himself into the invisible Polarity Shield to save himself. One of them got close to deliver a punch to his face. Unexpected, the guard was killed by some unknown cause. GoldenEye quickly took down the guards with his Mamba 12g, ran towards short steps. A small quarter circular bar was underneath curved stairs. Two guards attempted his life only to be taken down. A third one came downstairs to stop him. Not even he could stop him from going further. He went to supply himself with new weapons and armour. At the same time, he realised this connection allowed Polarity Shield to be his circumvallation against gunshots, explosions and physical attacks. The only surviving guard of Goldfinger's stood still, relieved that he gained some moments of peace. He stood high above the neighbouring buildings, looking out across the sparkling city of Las Vegas. Neon glittered to the far distance. No sound carried from the traffic below. It was hard to him to iron out, regarding the cause of killing anyone who dared lay a finger on GoldenEye. Unable to make sense of the miracles derived from his cybernetic eye - seeing through obstacles, alter mechanics' actions and now encasing himself in an invisible shield; he returned to his mission. He could not help but feel impressed by Scaramanga's work of art. He went upstairs. The same one where Onatopp raced. Atop the quarter circular bar were brown curved sofa, a small sofa and a small table. Through the bronze electronic doors, he was now in a hallway full of sky blue panels in the centre and pots on pedestals on both sides. Assailants came running towards him. They weren't of any consequence. GoldenEye threw grenades at them. The explosions finished them and some pots were broken. He intercalated through the electronic doors and saw he was in a hall of doors which belonged to lifts. He ran towards the right to trammel the number of troops until the voice of his boss reminded him. "No's troops have broken through the main entrance! Take the lift down to the casino level!" A large door was made rigid to open. He got hold of a HS-90, before continuing his way. Tall ornamented pots with plants stood and sofas were behind the same blue panels. He quickly engulfed himself in his Polarity Shield and made sure the grenades kept them rolling. He recalled Scaramanga's words. "Operating the Magnetic Shield consumes energy, which increases significantly when the shield is taking direct fire." When in the firing line, GoldenEye took advantage of their helpless state. One of the soldiers ran to fire an explosive dart at him, the invisible shield protected him and dealt with him without encumbrance. The Mk2 Detonator came in handy. He suddenly heard sounds of a whirring - Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey. Above the electronic door, a green sign flashed. This meant it was accessible. As he was on the cusp of entering the lift, he withdrew and got to a small circular open balcony with sofas around it. Fully two blasts from the Mk2 Detonator were required to send the aircraft plummeting to damnation. The gunfight calmed down. He looked at an opening on an open-lattice steel pyramid. The night sky was seen. He looked down below, but could not see the ground floor. A hotel luggage trolley bore a suitcases, though it was unknown to whom they belonged to. And there were certainly no visitors at this point. Either they fled or were dead. GoldenEye tried his MRI Vision to scan what might be in the suitcases, though nothing appeared.

    - Part 2 - He made his way clockwise - from the bridge to the platform, upstairs to the upper platform and across the second bridge to the second upper platform. The machine again was activated on command from his cybernetic eye, killing the remaining guards. He was now at the end of the factory and electronic doors were available. Heated pain seared across his body and his nerve system. The miracle he had restored him back to normal. While suffering from headache, he grabbed ballistic vests and grenades. Standing victorious in the now deserted armour processing factory, GoldenEye was now free to release all the heat brought by pressure and fatigue. He now got to survey the area. The electronic doors were now opened. No sooner had he stepped inside than they slotted shut. Here was just a large cold empty hall. Opposite him were oil drums. LED lights were at the base of the walls. GoldenEye felt the downloads were complete and heard a voice through the intercom, chiding him. "You're nothing but a common thief, an errand boy! Those files will never reach Goldfinger... you will not leave my factory alive." GoldenEye realised this was the voice of Dr. No. GoldenEye used his MRI Vision to see through the wall. Two guards stood and an armoured one approached towards oil drums. The guard alerted. "There he is!" At a turn, GoldenEye threw grenade at the second oil drum, hoping to catch all three guards. This action proved successful, albeit leaving the armoured one on the ground. His SPEC-9 finished him to the ground. Emerging on a wide balcony guarded by massive stone pillars inclined towards its outer edge, he must allow himself room for preparations. Opposite the balcony, he saw a huge mighty building with an unusual isosceles trapezoid-shaped architecture. Atop the roof on either end was a small trapezoid-shaped bunkers and two tall towers with curious diamond-shaped structure. On its centre was a tall and large trapezoid-shaped tower with lit windows. There were no means for him to get to it. He did not know what sort of building that was. He observed electronic doors on both sides as well as small columns. Several Harpoon RLs and an AR4 Commando were placed against them. His gut feelings signalled him that whatever might come would be a tremendous challenge. Twin oil drums were set next to the exit and another at the right. Wooden crates were also placed. Wind whistled about the city and night sky still had no stars or moon. He sprang away to hurry towards the right and dropped the dense weapon. A voice came. "Now!" As expected, electronic doors opened and two guards came out to handle the infiltrator. GoldenEye must save the Harpoon RL for the worst. One shot from the SPEC-9 gave a devastating accuracy to the guard's head. He deliberately let himself near the armoured guard for melee combat. Two punches to the first caused him to be weak. With the guard standing benumbed, he grabbed the guard. "Let me..." Reinforcements showed from both electronic doors. While it was hard to focus due to his groans, he must deal with the two armoured guards on the right. The EM Hack caused the guards' weapons to be unstable. The SPEC-9 was enough to shoot their heads. He disdainfully threw his hostage to the ground. Behind him, two guards were near the drums. Explosions from the drums raked them out. While running for the Harpoon RL on the balcony, he heard swarms of Bell Boeing V-22 Ospreys. The first one came out and reinforcements appeared on the roof opposite him. The pillars were too thick that they shielded him from attacks. GoldenEye receded back into the hallway and hiding from enemy cannonade especially the whistling of a missile. The razor sharp bullets from the aircraft cut through his ballistic vest. The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey was exposed as it fired at GoldenEye who fired back in reply, sending the first one. He saw a second one and got the gist on how to handle this aircraft. The last shot damaged the aircraft and he ran for another Harpoon RL on the pillar. While gunshots got him, he did his best to avoid them. The missile from enemy weapon came to his direction. The pillar mercifully saved him. Staying hidden in the vast hallway was needed to keep himself in top shape. The aircraft's guns were out of ammo. The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey had been riven by GoldenEye's missile. Two more of the aircrafts came out. It was as though they were near infinite. He realised these Harpoon RL were used by the Zhōngguó Rénmín Jiěfàngjūn in their defence against rogue ones who were employed by Dr. No. It appeared no one came to his assistance. He couldn't help but wonder whether James Bond was facing the same enemies. One of the aircrafts hovered high above, while the other came down to get him. Another gunshot from the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey was sent his way, GoldenEye must hold them off at all costs. The aircraft then flew back to the left, spraying bullets at him with the machine gun. Avoiding and receding into the hallway was his best defence. He let it fly back to get him. He fired two shots at it. The missile incised it to bits, leaving the last one. He eagerly went over to stand against the last aircraft. His overconfidence led his last shot to miss it. He must gather himself to reassess the situation. Looking carefully at the guards and the last aircraft, he reasoned that it would be best to deal with it first without being brassbound. What would Goldfinger think of that? GoldenEye left the hallway and went next to the electronic doors to his left. Surprisingly, they opened and it revealed a small bare bunker. Inside it was a body armour and a Harpoon RL. Anger lingered over the ineffective attempts to get to Galore's aircraft. An explosion hit the bunker and an idea came into his head. At least, he was able to relax in the bunker as it was explosive proof. He got out and waited for the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey to swoop down. Finally catching it in a susceptible position, he fired two shots from the Harpoon RL. The falling detritus went down to the streets. Seeing that the aircrafts were out of commission, he must have felt pretty pleased for acting like a bulldozer in clearing out the enemies in Hong Kong. He gladly ran straight ahead. But the cannonade was still ongoing. The voice of Galore called out. "Nice work. I'll pick you up in the district just ahead - look for the neon signs." If neon signs, he should look for, an obvious one was a huge blue and orange neon billboard sign with Chinese writings and a plastic cup with chopsticks stuck in an ice cream. On the other side was a digital camera. GoldenEye caught sight of a sniper rifle laying on the wall. He gladly picked it up and desperately retreated from the torrential of gunshots and into the bunker. The sniping started as opportunity offered from his position. He learnt about alerting them from the mistimed shot. But this time, they were already on him. The first shot triggered explosion from the drums, charring the two guards. He slowly worked on his precised shots to outflank them, but he must also watch out for its ammo. The last guard was killed on the trapezoid-shaped tower. His arms were aching and fatigue was mounting. He must let himself space for fresh air and moments to relax.

The dead end was in fact an electronic door. They split open, allowing him through. While thinking about his rendezvous with Galore, GoldenEye must expect another wave of enemies. He was on a small head of the stairs, looking down a vast area. Below him, a steel half circle arch interlocked with another in a cross format. At each base was a set of two capsules with the black armours, helmets, red goggles and red face masks. Under the armour capsules was a grey circle and within it was a blue one over another grey one and a third blue one. At the centre was a grey disk-like design with blue studs. He saw another on an upper platform far from his elevated position. The third was on an upper platform at an angle and the last one was just below him. Fluorescent LED tubes and handrails were placed on the edge of the two platforms. The platforms were divided by a chute. Guards stood in wait. On a small bridge, two tall switches were placed opposite each other. One of them had a small black screen with green letters and numbers. His cybernetic eye allowed radio-circuit control on the switch, granting him access to whatever data stored in it. In his mind, it felt strange yet satisfying to have a read-through across whatever information he acquired. The glance was halted. The guard heard sounds and realised that confidentiality had been breached. “On me! Security breached!” Shots zipped up at him. Much to his relief, an L-shaped metal plaque was set in a corner. He squeezed himself in a corner, hoping no bullets would reach him. At the far end, an unarmoured guard with a Harpoon RL came into view. GoldenEye kept himself in the corner and waited for the guards to show themselves. They all ran about while firing at him. He waited until one kept still to get a better aim. The AR4 Commando was needed to zero in on each guard. Some of them ran across the small bridge and fired at him. Before he thought of moving, guards attacked below him. Doors opened and enemies came out. Their leader called out. “Everyone, now!” He remained until the area below him was clear. He was also wary of the Venom 200 ml, as he learnt about the effects of each green bolt. He quickly exchanged his AR4 Commando for his grenades. He flung a grenade at the enemies below him. “Explosives!” The guards rolled. Their movements failed them and explosion took care of them. Making sure it was safe, he strafed slowly from the corner to another metal plaque. He continued fine-tooth-combing the armour processing factory, before moving carefully down short steps. Goldfinger delivered intelligence to his enforcer through his headset. “You appear to be in a laboratory for armour fabrication. From the scale of this operation, I would judge Dr. No could supply a substantial army. The terminals in this lab may contain clues to Dr. No’s next move. Use the eye to acquire whatever data intelligence you can.” GoldenEye was now assigned to download armour fabrication process. Another block of data acquired, GoldenEye must deliver it to Goldfinger. From his location, his cybernetic eye was ready for use. He grabbed a Harpoon RL and lost no time remote triggering the switch into giving up more block of data. Whatever the cost was, he must try or sacrifice his life before anyone tried to retrieve the digital files from his cybernetic eye. A female voice on the intercom called out. “Warning! Data security compromised… Warning…” He considered what Goldfinger might do with them and whatever use he might have from the digital files. GoldenEye felt shots on his legs and waist. He looked down and surveyed across the chute and behind the pillars beneath the platforms. Enemies were also down the chute. This was the time to test what the green-lit button. While thinking about using his cybernetic eye for the other switch, he must work on conserving energy and the Harpoon RL’s ammo. Instead, he went across the bridge and pressed the green-lit button. The shutters were raised upwards covering both sides and a sharp metal plate swiftly shafted forward, killing the guards. The plate went back to its place. Conceded that this curious device would help lessen the enemies, he realised that it was meant for waste disposal.

Down a narrow flight of steps in a red lit corridor full of locked doors, GoldenEye stopped and took a few moments to recover - especially his cybernetic eye. He reloaded his AR4 Commando, ensuring he was ready for whatever case like an ambush or traps that awaited him. It was unknown where the locked doors would have led him. If a flashing sign of a lobster that was, then this building was a restaurant. GoldenEye wanted to have a table reservation for him. He was hungry, exhausted and never got a break, since he joined Goldfinger. Wind howled. The wind opened the door, allowing him access. Opposite him was the same building with the tallest pagoda he was on. On the building’s wall next to the exit were red lit Chinese writings. Bamboo shoots were built on the balcony’s edge. GoldenEye waited by the exit. Two guards marched on a rooftop. First time in his life, he saw such a rooftop packed with oil drums and three plinths. The roof was covered in hexagonal tiles. Metal stairs led up either side of a hazardous-looking structure. A lower tiered dome shaped tank was full of green chemical. Toxic vapour emitted from it. On both sides were metal structures with stainless steel Louvre gas vents, facing away from each other and two more, farther, faced each other. On the structure, a guard was on it. More of the stainless steel structures with Louvre gas vents were placed farther at the left. Pass the rooftops was the same building he saw on the landing zone with rotating metal panels. GoldenEye wondered. Whatever were these batches of toxic chemicals for? What company manufactured them? Where would they be shipped to? Husbanding ammo, energy and grenades was part of GoldenEye’s principles. While shooting was a must, he aimed his AR4 Commando at the first guard and fired small amount of bullets, killing him. Even the smallest amount would have finished an unarmoured guard like him. Sublety was needed. He started with the first guard, killing him. Luckily, no one heard or witnessed the death of their ally. He aimed his assault rifle at the one on the storage tank. One sharp bullet swiftly took down the guard, leaving the last one next to the metal drum. He dropped the AR4 Commando to fire his SPEC-9 at the metal drum, grilling the guard in the explosion. He quickly picked up the AR4 Commando and treaded with awareness along the balcony. The guards were distracted from their job and started firing at the adventurous agent. He ran on the balcony and halted as two guards attacked him behind the plinth. A grenade was needed to sweep them out. A guard was so plugged away at shooting him, unaware where he was standing. His mind commanded his cybernetic eye to distance control a small yet hazardous device. At its control, a cloud of green gas sprayed from the Louvre gas vents, killing him. This serviced his progress. He gently dropped onto the Chemical rooftop. The voice of Galore judged. “This LZ is too hot! Get off that roof-top - I’ll find another place to pick you up!” GoldenEye hung his head, feeling torn. He could find no way to catch up with her, and she was forced to leave the poor fellow in the middle of the ambush. While distracted, he felt something new, but unpleasant. An armoured guard ran, firing green bolts at his foe. One of the green bolts hit him. The green bolt was in fact a non lethal attack, leaving GoldenEye in a state of vulnerability. He felt sick, wanting to lay on the rooftop. Symptoms of nausea occurred. Another cause of the effect was his movements were slowed. And he pushed himself with strenuous efforts to get near the device, releasing the same toxic gas. The armoured guard recklessly ran towards him to take advantage of his vulnerable state, only to be killed by the gas. He ran for freshly made body armour and dropped his AR4 Commando for a new one. He read the device’s sign. One of the guards observed. “He’s got an assault rifle!” “CAUTION! GAS RELEASE VALVE! Exposure may cause nausea, blindness, or death.” He realised releasing the gas gave the latter option - death. As he stepped into the vicinity of the gas which was dispersing, he felt the symptoms like nausea. As for blindness, GoldenEye already lost his right eye and was grateful that Scaramanga and his inventors helped in restoring his right eye, though he felt the cybernetic eye was overheating. He observed a small slope between two storage tanks and metal stairs. He went behind the plinth to take out the guard on the storage tank. One shot from the AR4 Commando was enough to get rid of him. He dropped the assault rifle and used his SPEC-9 to destroy two oil drums on the plinth near the two storage tanks. It was done so that he could get the unarmoured guard with a Mamba 12g at an angle. The SPEC-9 got him to the head. The armoured guard on the storage tanks opposite him ran back and forth while firing an assault rifle at him. He ducked behind the plinth and slowly dealt with the two vulnerable guards, before taking the armoured one out. He went round the storage tank and ran upstairs. A sign on a metal plaque on the handrail was marked “1952” and a “6” below it. He saw twin stairs leading downwards. He went downstairs and turned right. Two guards came to slow him down. He dropped the AR4 Commando, hewed them with his grenade, before picking it up again. The progress was slow, but it was progressing. He quickly snatched his AR4 Commando and reloaded it. While running, GoldenEye saw a guard next to Louvre gas vents. This allowed him to telecontrol the cubical device, bringing down a cloud of toxic gas. The guard was unaware of what caused the gas to pour down on him. Before he realised, he was already killed in it. He back to the twin storage tanks and went across them. He was curious about the slope. Out of curiosity, he and went down and left. Pipes and reading metres lined the small wall. He saw explosive drums and an armoured guard ran towards it. The explosion injured him and sent him hurtling to the ground. GoldenEye ran, finished him and went behind the niche where the oil drums were. The guard on a storage tank and fired at him. He was easily dealt with. He saw the armoured guard firing a Jackal .357 and the same weapon that caught him earlier. A lesson he grasped now - he should avoid the green bolts or else it would cause him to feel nausea, leaving him assailable to enemy attacks. The guard at the far end was wedged between the Louvre gas vents and the oil drums. He quickly caused the drum to combust, sending the guard to his demise. It was giving him so much encouragement that the Chemical rooftop was about to be liberated. To give his legs more energy to continue, he decided to stay in the niche where the oil drums were. His heart raced and exhaustion since the first skyscraper till now was guaranteed. It was obvious that he would not be able to fight, if he was suffering from exhaustion. His laboured breath grew heavy. To give all he got, GoldenEye got out from his spot and went up stairs and on a walkway round the storage tank which overlooked the destroyed oil drums in the corner of the roof. He went upstairs and exchanged the AR4 Commando for an HS-90 and a Jackal .357. One of them had the gun that would paralyse his movements. These helped push the armoured guards to the ground. The Chemical rooftop and it allowed him to catch his breath. He studied the area and its purpose. He examined a weapon on the ground and identified it as Venom 200ml. It was guessed that they’d use it on one of Goldfinger’s guard or anyone for interrogation. He tried thinking whether the Venom 200ml was possibly fabricated from the same chemical in the storage tank. There were lots to learn. In one corner, a small tower with a ladder attached to it was built to it. Before he was about to climb it, he felt it was safe to stay where he was and analyse the roof opposing him. Guards marched about the plinths. It gave him assurance that he could save the AR4 Commando’s ammo instead of squandering it. The guards came close to each other. He patiently waited for the guards to be a few metres apart. While away, he allowed letting the assault rifle splutter small amounts of bullets at the guards. Fortunately, they were seemingly deaf. The other two were dealt the same deathblows. He went up the ladder and onto the small tower. He got a bird's-eye view of the city below him. He felt dizzy from such height, making him feel like he wanted to fall. Skyscrapers jutted out of the streets. No pedestrians seem to hear or see signs of battle or attacks from Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey, including that of Dr. No. He slid down the cable to get to the next roof. Suddenly, two armoured guards came out to stop him. The plinths were his means of seeking shelter. He scrupulously took out the guards with his SPEC-9. At the edge of the roof, two blocks with LED lit the roof. Most of Hong Kong’s rooftops and skyscrapers had been liberated, but there were still more that needed treatment from his solo special operation. He got the AR4 Commando back to his hand and reloaded. He went through a huge entrance, before a trapezium shaped wall with Dr. No’s symbol. It appeared to be a dead end for him.

    - Part 4 - Opposite him was a landing zone and a small white metal barrier prevented him access. The landing area which was inaccessible had more of the panels and a tall switch was at one edge. He went behind one of the turning panels, but he figured out they would obviously not stay in one direction. He allowed himself roof for a careful analysis of the panels’ directions and at the same time reloading his AR4 Commando. Again, he noticed the three panels aligned in a diagonal position were in the same shielding standpoint and the others were in a risky direction. As soon as the panels rotated, he felt exposed to the attacks. He saw enemies from the distance attacking him, thus forcing him to get behind another panel to the left. He should keep up with the principles of how to last through the night. Lesser men would see the logic in this. Others who expressed their boldness to the point of being too sure of themselves would be the first to die. The enemies were not the sort to show mercy to anyone passing them. Gunshots tore through his ballistic vest and his AR4 Commando was now depleted. These two important equipments left him exposed. He gave them double measure by throwing a grenade at them. One of the armoured guards fired a detonator at him. His injuries healed. But that did not end here, more enemies got out below from his left. Tall purple tower (Presumably Zhōnghuán Zhōngxīn - Chinese for: The Centre) and the large one loomed over the open area. He saw the area where he was practicing sniping was not far from the landing zone. The building he was in was taller and had scaffolds on the roof. The enemies made sure their efforts did not go to waste. That applied to GoldenEye for remembering how pleased Scaramanga’s works paid off. GoldenEye knew staying for too long would be the end of him. Seeing tall switches on the edge of the landing zones gave him an idea. His mind commanded his cybernetic eye to remotely use the switch, causing the panels near a slope to rotate for cover. He ran towards it and ensured he was hidden from enemy fire. He used this as an opportunity to make the two enemies bear the brunt of the gunshots. But, he should not just focus on dealing with the enemies, including the three behind another white barrier on the roof with turning panels. He swiped an AR4 Commando, ballistic vests and grenades and retracted back to the previous panel where he sought shelter. The landing zones were divided by a huge gap that made him see a tower with what appeared to be a small red Pagoda sandwiched between twin green Chinese dragon statues. The dragon statues faced opposite directions. Around the landing zones were more skyscrapers with neon signs and one had twin tall spires (presumably Zhōngyín Dàshà - Bank of China Tower) jutting to the air. The iconic Zhōnghuán Guǎngchǎng (Chinese for: Central Plaza) was also seen. He noticed past the white barrier, three guards emerging from the slope below. An armoured guard directed the two. All the three attacked at once. GoldenEye felt the armoured guard wielding twin Jackal .357 was his priority. He quickly pinpointed the attack on the armoured guard and the two with him were easily gone. While hastily reloading, bullets from below startled him. From afar, he observed what was beneath the landing zone. It was a high level corridor deck suspended from its roof in greater heights above the streets. Chinese writings were lit dark blue on the left side of the landing zone below. Enemies within the deck ensured bullets reach the operative. He willingly got close to the barrier and started giving the guards a feel of heated bullets from the AR4 Commando. A couple of shots would send them to the ground. He managed to at least diminished the three enemies. To prepare himself for a series of challenges, he looked all around the rooftops for sufficient number of body armours. Once he was ready, he boldly went down the slope and into the high level corridor deck. To his right, Chinese writings were lit red. He was relieved that the gaps were surrounded by high walls and blocks were placed at intervals. He readied his AR4 Commando and shielded himself behind one the nearest block. The guards realised on the skyscraper and the landing zone, the enemies had no chance against him. They knew their end was near, but they recklessly attacked him nonetheless. One of the guards hid behind a block, opposite him. He patiently waited for the guard to come out. As the guard did, he waited until the shots were wasted and the guard crouched. He got out to attack him. This time, GoldenEye gave a shot to the head. The last ones took their chances and were soon cleared away. He saw weapons from dead bodies and tried to make his choice - which of the weapons would be suitable for the incoming surprise attack or how the attacks would be? He realised that Jackal .357 had extremely powerful firepower. Although very small, this weapon could kill enemies quickly and efficiently. When in both hands, these were absolutely deadly. He observed enemies whom he faced carried them in both hands yet they used them poorly. However these weapons would require precision to take out one by one. HS-90, on the other hand, GoldenEye saw how it functioned almost similar to AR4 Commando in terms of taking out enemies very quickly. It was perfect in a crowd, but the shot to the enemies’ heads would be the best and even when the enemies tried to get up, he would finish them. They were potentially deadly when duel-wielded and could take out a mob of foes easily. Its rate of fire was incredible, but it's accuracy was possibly moderate. At this rate, AR4 Commando in both hands was needed. Through a small and narrow part of the deck, he came to the area behind the blue lit Chinese writings. Both sides of the deck were completely blocked by white barriers. On the left side was the slope where three guards went up and attacked him. On the right side was another which would lead to a place he had yet to visit. Wind blew through the openings of the deck and GoldenEye went back and looked through them. He saw the same purple skyscraper and the one he was on. He stepped forward and expected that death would get him. If he died, who else would Goldfinger employ? What of James Bond? What was his current mission?

    - Part 3 - He used his cybernetic eye and saw two guards, underneath him. Passing through a floor with walls covered in chipboards, two guards fired HS-90 at him. GoldenEye silenced them with his grenade. For unknown reasons, he was unable to enter the small room. Whatever stopped him did not concern him. The lift reached the bottom floor with walls covered in chipboards. He used his MRI Vision and saw two guards. The first one was killed, alerting the second. He dealt with the other. Wooden crates with wooden pallets stood. A crate with Dr. No’s symbol stood. The voice of Galore offered. “GoldenEye - I’ll mark your extraction point with a flare.” On the wall, an AR4 Commando leaned against it. As promised, a Longbow SR was placed there. Instead of it meant for Dr. No, he saw on a roof farther, turning panels with beams shooting to the sky rotated. Nothing better than relaxing and sniping the guards out from afar. This was the second time, GoldenEye practiced singling out the guards. At this point, he was becoming adept with the Longbow SR. Alerting the guards especially the heavily armoured ones would be the most unwise to do. He gave a shot to the heavily armoured guard’s head. However, the mistimed shot alerted the others. Abraded for his reckless shot, he gave the guards punishment. This was to compensate for his mistimed shot. The others survived and called for reinforcements. He grabbed an AR4 Commando and slid down a zipline. He saw the dizzying view of the city. This wasn’t time to get distracted by the view. He surveyed around. A small wall enclosed turning panels and the ground was lit blue. One of the turning panels was on a large metal plinth at the centre of the cross-shaped divider. Each end of the divider also had a turning panel. He went through a small and narrow part of the roof to an open area and hid behind the nearest panel. While in hiding, he was conscientious in observing two other panels that were placed in a diagonal position towards the edge of the roof were in the same direction as the one he was hiding behind. This left the panel near the narrow part of the roof and the one to his left in a direction where he would have felt exposed. The roof was enclosed by small walls. On the small walls, LED were lit white on them. Unexpectedly, the three panels aligned in a diagonal position shifted from its former direction to a different one, making him feel exposed to all sorts of attacks. Enemies rose up to deal with the one who almost attempted Dr. No’s life. It was needed that he ran from his position to the first panel which faced the sniper’s hideout or even better, he took cover behind the huge plinth on the cross-shaped divider. His shoulder was shot. To his right, enemies with the armoured one attacked. Although the roofs where he was and where the enemies were divided by a gap, he was not safe from an incoming detonator. He subtly got out and let the AR4 Commando to get warmed up; sprayed bullets on the two unarmoured guards and GoldenEye receded back behind the panel. It was easier to deal with them. One divided roof must be cleared for him to get an easy passing. He expected retaliation from their avenging comrades. The panels abruptly changed. While getting hit by gunshots, he was able to avoid the detonator. He knew it was a matter of life and death. Despite the injuries he was suffering, he was not daunted by their attacks. He focused on clearing the roof and gunfire to his right was suppressed. He went a bit far from the plinth and turned his AR4 Commando to the one farther from it. The same enemies who avoided from being victims of the Longbow SR and the armoured one ran about and fired their guns at him. A guard wailed. “Help me!” No one could be saved from GoldenEye’s determination. He hurriedly dropped his AR4 Commando to fire a bullet from his SPEC-9 at two guards’ heads. The two guards were given a swift death and he threw a grenade at the enemies. They crouched, blocking their ears and hoping the explosion would not reach them. “Watch out for explosives!” It turned out not what they hoped would have happened. He picked up AR4 Commando, reloaded and headed straight through the first small and narrow part of the roof to the open area with turning panels. He was relieved that ballistic vests were needed to replace his torn one. He needed an AR4 Commando to replace the one he had. He ran through another narrow section to the roof where the enemies retreated. - To be continued -

    - Part 2 - Dr. No’s aircraft slowly left the site. GoldenEye felt he was led on a wild-goose chase and felt burning rage building up. Now that the building was on fire, everything was all hazy with smoke. He turned away almost sadly and made his way through the many flames, debris and enemies came out of nowhere. He hid behind one of the rubble and used the MRI Vision to scan the area. The magnetic imaging helped him expose his targets. GoldenEye recalled that Mag-Rail could fire through obstacles. He was worried that one of the guards would go past his hiding place and shoot him. His X-ray eyesight and the Mag-Rail gave him a window of opportunity. He was trying to get use to aiming them, but their movements to and fro made it tricky for him to get them. As they stood, shooting their weapons in one direction. He found it easy to take one out, since it shot through the rubble got to the first guard, killing him and the others were almost out of range. He got the two guards behind the dead one. His MRI Vision signaled him that two more guards were aligned. Another shot from the Mag-Rail penetrated through, killing the two guards at the same time. He got up to conserve energy for his cybernetic eye and he observed one armoured guard coming to get him with twin Jackal .357. Next to him was a guard who wasn’t as armoured as the other. He ran from one rubble to another to his left. But he must watch out for the flames next to it. After his cybernetic eye had decent amount of energy for him to continue seeing through the rubble. Before the armoured guard made his move, the Mag-Rail shot got the armoured guard. GoldenEye gave the guards their due. It was a shame to see the Mag-Rail contained only four bolts. He dropped the Mag-Rail and the Mamba 12g. He picked it up in his right hand. Grenades, EM Hack and his Mamba 12g were needed to exculpate the floor. Bullets shafted past his shoulder, injuring him. Though the wounds weren’t severe, he must not be reckless. His wounds were healed, thanks to the miracle of his cybernetic eye. He remembered about hiding behind obstacles would shelter him from gunfire. At once he was confronted by his buddies standing to his right - he blasted him at close range courtesy of the borrowed Mamba 12g, which he found before seeing Dr. No. The floor was now in ruins. Although useful for close work, he quickly realised the shotgun would be of limited effectiveness here. What's worse, the Mamba 12g had to re-cock between each shot, making it a pain in situations when GoldenEye had to take a lot of fire. He ducked back for a grenade and tossed it at the two guards. The wooden crates were surprisingly solid that they weren't blasted to splinters. One of the guards did not stand a chance while other fell to the ground, injured. Before getting up, GoldenEye shot the guard with his Mamba 12g. Behind a partly damaged wall and a stack of timbers, he saw an armoured guard threatening his life with an AR4 Commando. He moved around the crates, pillars and rubbles to try and avoid the incoming bullets. He wore the body armour. The Mamba 12g gave its last shot to his head, killing him. Once it was out of action, he was forced to drop it and plundered an AR4 Commando. GoldenEye avoided the gunshot, approached one of the guards, battering him to cause him to be dazed. He took advantage by using him as a human shield. “Hey, what are you…” He used the eye’s power to cause one of the guards’ weapons to give misdirect shots. The panicked guard knew that he would not survive in the hands of his captor. As the guard tried to fire at him, the glitch caused the weapon to fire about. At least for a short period of time, he was at least able to avoid enemy fire. The enemies poured fire upon him from their hiding spots. The stunned guard was about to be killed in his hand. Seeing he outlived his usefulness, GoldenEye threw the guard onto another. One by one he picked them off with a burst of fire from the grenades. GoldenEye wondered for a moment if the Triad Informant’s betrayal was somehow linked to Dr. No or his reasons to betray them. Fires licked the timbers and rubbles. Debris were scattered everywhere. Through the window, GoldenEye saw the neighbouring tower with purple apex. Fortunately, there were no workers at that time to continue their construction. Otherwise, they were killed by Dr. No’s troops. GoldenEye had a slight idea what sort of building was under construction. He reclaimed the AR4 Commando. A gap was exposed and a large slab of concrete appeared to lay itself diagonally through the gap. This allowed him access. He carefully slid down it. On an empty broken floor below was a LED 2-headed floodlights standing. Through it, he landed on hard concrete floor where there were wooden crates, a ladder, a LED 2-headed floodlights and a pile of laminated veneer lumber scaffolding boards. He was startled by a guard. He dealt with two guards with his AR4 Commando. GoldenEye ran right and was faced by a third guard who was easily killed. The armoured guard ran pass a small generator and retreated behind a pile of laminated veneer lumber scaffolding boards. The best solution for him to drop the AR4 Commando and a grenade prepared to be thrown at him. At one side were steel girders blocking his path, save for a plank leaning against a shallow wall. He ran for an Mk2 Detonator that would help him progress further. He ran up the plank to the other side of the blocked area where bags of cement, a wheelbarrow, wooden crates and all sorts of construction materials. He stood boldly and threw a grenade at them. The grenade landed on the timbers, catching all the three on the left. The remaining guard called for reinforcements. “Don’t let him get to the elevator!” The AR4 Commando was made active, once in his right hand. He practiced facing the guards with his EM Hack and weapons at their disposal, and leaving them bent in confusion. As he came to them, he fired at them, leaving their helpless bodies to the ground. One by one they fell to his AR4 Commando. With the site cleared, he made exploration and looked through the window. He saw the city lit by streetlights, traffic and lights from buildings. An octagonal-shaped roof was segregated by a cross like partition. At each end of the divider, gaps were carved. He grabbed more armours, grenades and went into a lift. The lift automatically became operational and slowly descended. GoldenEye could not relax. He was wary and heard a voice commanding another. “Move!”

Based on the results of his performance, Scaramanga was impressed. "Goldfinger is pleased with your performance on the mountain. He asked me to arrange another upgrade. The Magnetic Hack feature will allow you to tamper with machines and electronics from a distance. The effects vary depending on the target. A burst from the Hack upgrade can cause an enemy’s weapon to malfunction. It’s also an effective means of manipulating and reprogramming electronic device via remote control. This is the first field trial of the EM hack upgrade. I look forward to reviewing the results.” GoldenEye began to feel slightly powerful. After the surgery done, he took moments to recover before being called by Goldfinger. He felt the test simulation would help him in solving whatever obstacles that would bar him from progressing. After a few hours at the surgery and additional ones in a huge meeting room, GoldenEye listened for further instructions from Goldfinger. The meeting room was vast and had a long table with chairs around it. Behind GoldenEye was a huge screen displaying the world map. Goldfinger continued. “Dr. No will stop at nothing to obtain the OMEN. We must act now before he launches another attack.” GoldenEye got off his seat and walked through the exit and electronic doors shut themselves behind him. In the Volcano Lair’s hangar, Galore who was now wearing a helmet with face visor saw him entering her helicopter. “Let’s fly!” She fastened her seatbelt, pressed a button causing the rotor to spin slowly. She pulled the lever, causing the helicopter to hover through the exit. Goldfinger contacted him. “My triad informant has tracked him to his Eastern base.” The sun was now setting. On the helicopter’s screen, a map of the world zoomed in to Hong Kong. Another screen showed a Chinese man with trimmed hair in white Mandarin jacket over white trousers walking cautiously behind a statue of Buddha. And at the bottom of the screen was a Longbow SR. “I’m sending you to Hong Kong. Your mission is to assassinate Dr. No. Ms. Galore will fly you out when the job is done.” The screen showed a night sky and a view of skyscrapers. Amid them was one tall with its apex brilliantly lit white and the other was multicoloured and had a spire on it. “Dr. No’s tower is impossibly secure… but you will have a clear shot from the neighbouring construction site. Don’t miss!” Dr. No stood expectantly for GoldenEye from the tower. On the tower adjacent to the other one, his guards patrolled the construction site. A lift was on its way. Below it, traffic was seen flowing on the streets. The lift reached the floor of the construction site and GoldenEye stepped out. A new voice called out through his headset. “Good evening, Mr. GoldenEye. I have left a sniper rifle one level above you. It is in a silver case. I wish you good hunting.” To his right through a barred window was a tower with purple lit roof. On the floor were some tiles scattered about the tiled floor. To his left were wooden pallets on a wooden box. Containers of paints were put on steel pallets. A small generator was next to a container of paint. Opposite him were two guards. “What’s with the increased security?” a dissatisfied guard asked. “To try and interrupt something.” They appeared to be relaxed and GoldenEye waited for one to leave. In what appeared to be construction or renovation of another room, a LED 2-headed floodlights stood next to walls covered in chipboards. He slowly crept past a huge squared pillar and steel pallets. He waited for the guard to be a few inches away from him and punched the guard’s back. After his heavy blow stunned the guard, he fired a bullet from his SPEC-9, finishing him. Luckily, the other guard did not hear a sound. He ensured his aim to the guard’s head was exact. Suddenly, the others were alerted by the sight of their comrade’s death. It was at this moment, the attack started and he carefully fired his SPEC-9 at every guard’s head, making them meet their similar fate. Outside the window was a building with blue neon sign in the form of Chinese writings. A shallow wall seemingly blocked his path. He grabbed a HS-90. Thankfully a wooden ramp led him to the other side of the wall. At least a few men prowled the area. One of the guards signalled. “There he is!” GoldenEye went behind the wooden crates and laminated scaffolding boards to shelter himself from gunshots. He opened up with one of the guard’s HS-90 and moved fast. He circled among the site debris, and ducked, rolled, and fired on each man as he came running. Grenades tumbled and he ducked and moved, returning his own. Explosions ripped the air as gunfire chattered. The area was now quiet and GoldenEye hurried to the familiar laptop to gain some information about the EM Hack function. The area where he stood was lit red by the familiar Dr. No symbol. A lift to one side did not allow him access. The only way for him was upstairs. Grabbing used body armours and refilling ammo for his HS-90, GoldenEye headed up and a guard commanded. “Look for cover!” He was now on a floor with yet more of the construction materials and the pillars. He focused his eye on one of the enemies’ firearm. The effect caused the weapon to fire wildly and this allowed GoldenEye to manipulate them into exposing themselves to his attacks. Behind a pillar were two gas canisters - one red and one green. A body armour leaned on the wall. He took it and wore it over his torn one. He followed the windows to his left and continued around the block. Much to his relief, a Mag-Rail was placed. He followed the room away from the windows and headed through the laminating scaffolding boards, sawn timbers and other materials and finally found a silver briefcase on wooden crates. GoldenEye went to around the wooden crates and saw the window, facing another tall building. He saw a Mamba 12g next to it. His goal was near. GoldenEye had a Mag-rail in one hand and the Mamba 12g in the other. He eagerly opened the briefcase only to see it empty. This meant one thing. “Goldfinger pays me well. But, Dr. No pays me better.” This was the Triad Informant. He jumped to a rope and slid down. A huge grey Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey came into view, the same one that led the guards into Auric Enterprises. Dr. No turned on its belly-mounted GAU-17 minigun, causing it to fire at the building. Explosions caused the construction site into a destruction site. Dust choked him; there was no way to get through to Dr. No or the Triad Informant. There was nothing to be done. The voice of Galore called out. “We’ve been set up! Get the hell off that building!” - To be continued -

The lift led GoldenEye into a rough passage hewn from rock. Fluorescent lights were aligned with the curved passage and more were set to the left and others farther to the right. Red lights were fastened to metal brackets on the rocky walls. On the metal floor, more stacks of tall and short grey octagonal wooden crates as well as the metallic ones and oil drums were placed. The floor was The voice of Goldfinger gave words of necessitudes. "We're outnumbered! Destroy the two air purification system in the gold processing area. The entire facility will flood with toxic fumes." Back in the MI6, GoldenEye felt the job there really was pot luck. If he had a good team - like Bond, then he'd have a satisfying job, if he got a bad one then he'd spend most of his time doing boring work. Unfortunately, he got little choice where he was put when he joined and they really did not care what his background was. His experience was of a cliquey organisation with poor, amateurish management and poor leadership. Some good staffs tried their best though, but not appreciated. However, under Goldfinger's leadership, GoldenEye saw the group was a lot better than that of MI6. A door at one side was shut and Goldfinger's guard stood in watch. "I got your back, GoldenEye." one of Goldfinger's guard offered. The Goldfinger's guard fired at that of Dr. No. Thanks to the AR4 Commando, GoldenEye was able to let bullets spike through the enemies. He shot the oil drums, causing the two guards to die in the blast, whilst the armoured one fell to the ground. One shot from the SPEC-9 to the head, caused him to backflip to his death. He quickly retrieved his AR4 Commando and reloaded. Goldfinger's guard stood, feeling relieved yet tense at the same time not knowing how many of the merciless invaders would storm into building. Breaking rank with their shared criminal organisation that he saw in the holographic simulation, Dr. No declared war on Goldfinger. Dr. No's troops attempted to steal his recently developed super-weapon; the OMEN and for what reason Dr. No waged war on Goldfinger or stealing the OMEN was not yet known. GoldenEye would get to the bottom of this matter, some time in the future. For now, he must coxswain his allies to defend the organisation. He looked at the two passages. The left one had a similar lift doors, but had a red light flashing next to it. He knew red light would mean no access. So was the one in the passage to the right. Near an electronic door with the symbol "Auric", a green light flashed continuously. While enemies were present, GoldenEye came onto a vast platform surrounded by metal rails. On both sides were LED flood lights pouring their beams. He was heedless of the gunshots. Lock and load! Goldfinger noticed GoldenEye did not use M.R.I. and reminded him. "Many troops are everywhere! Use magnetic imaging to expose targets where they hide!" His mind tapped into Scaramanga's invention to expose targets, behind the large gold bullion shaped cases. Goldfinger's guards kept up firing at the guards. He let bullets from his AR4 Commando, drilling into the enemies. One came to the top of the stairs to stop him. However, GoldenEye learned one shot from his AR4 Commando would instantly kill an unarmoured guard. Two of the guards were unaware that they stood next to the oil drums. This idea given him, caused him to shoot the oil drums. The explosions would trim down their numbers. Enemy shots caused his tactical vest to be supperannuated thus leaving his life to be etiolated by attacks. He went all around the platform and handled the vapid guards. Running around the hammer mills, GoldenEye saw an armoured guard behind toppled metal octagonal containers. His injuries were great, since the impact of twin Jackals .357 were fired. His life depended on his healing power. The AR4 Commando took care of the armoured guard. The platform was now clear. GoldenEye left the namby-pamby guard to relax, while he watched the centre of the opening. He saw ores sent to four spiral hammer mills which were around a pyramid shaped. The four edges had metallic encasings that would shield the floor from debris that would scatter everywhere. He first saw how ore crushing plants work. Where he was, Goldfinger's guard saw him observing a curious three-tiered towering structure with green-lit slots and gas seeped into each tier. He noticed a vertical green lit slot at its base. GoldenEye went down a flight of metal stairs and saw a diagonal conveyor belt transporting ores. He realised they were sent to the hammer mills. A guard ordered. "Move!" Three guards below fired at him. Another of Goldfinger's guard came to his assistance, however he was killed by them. GoldenEye failed him and decided to make it up to his fallen ally. GoldenEye made sure fire from his AR4 Commando at the three guards count. Now, his fallen ally could rest knowing he was avenged. And the assault rifle's ammo was out of stock, forcing him to hold his SPEC-9. After reaching the base of what appeared to be a pool of molten gold that lit the metal girders, the base of the huge cone crusher and the floor in insidious gold. Metal octagonal containers lay on the floor. A pool of molten gold was seen in a huge ladle furnace and the cone crusher. GoldenEye was fascinated by such process and this no doubt explained Goldfinger's investment and his reputation as an international gold smuggler. GoldenEye looked for tactical vests and whatever guns were needed to continue his way. He hastily looked for somewhere to continue. He saw metal stairs leading downward. A lone guard took his shot at Goldfinger's chief enforcer. Metal girders held the floor with the ladle furnace. Despite his injuries, he fired his SPEC-9 to the head, killing him. He observed the three-tiered structure and wondered whether he should shoot the vertical lit slot. This was a filtration tube, the one Goldfinger mentioned. His cybernetic eye indicated that he should fire at it. After shooting it, an explosion happened and the sounds of alarm signalled that one of the filtration tube was destroyed. Fires were seen at its base. He went through an opened electronic door with green light flashing next to it. He entered through another passage, identical to the first one above. One of Goldfinger's guards was killed with a howl. Dr. No's guards felt the air was becoming toxic. "Switching to re-breathers!" one of Dr. No's guard commanded. GoldenEye remembered grenades were effective and threw one at the enemies. The grenade spat an explosion at the two guards. Upon reaching the third electronic door with a green light flashing, a voice pointed out. "He's sabotaging the filtration system."
