Your Technique for the EYES is WONDERFUL! I definitely need to try that! Thank you for sharing!
This SO Wonderful!!! You did an AMAZING Job!!! Such a BEAUTIFUL RESULT!!! It's So Nice to Find Another Doll maker!!!
Fantastic!
What kind of tools do you use I can never find a set tiny enough... I'm always cobbling things together x
You gave very clear and complete instructions. Nicely done.
Polymer clay e biscuit são o mesmo?
I have a ponytail of my moms hair and i have 2 porcelain dolls that were also hers. The ponytail is probably from 6 or 8 years ago and Mom died 4 years ago. I wanted to donate the hair for a wig for someone who has lost their hair but although the ponytail is about 5 inches long its apparently not long enough. Those places are pretty particular lol. So I'm going to try making a new do for the doll! Best part is since its human hair i can pretty easily change up the style! Thanks for explaining so clearly ❤
Hi Amanda. Can u please show a doll face with open eyes? Please Please, your work is very good ❤
Thank you! I never use gloves or a mask when working with UV resin though, what I use does not have a smell!
I love to know what you use!
Fun; Thank-You!
So beautiful, thank you :)
Thank you too!
Very helpful video, I'm just starting and baking multiple times is a very good starting tip that's obvious in hindsight, I'll definitely do that. Subscribed, thanks
I'm glad I could help! Thank you
That looked great. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Thank you, I hope it helps!
Very easy explanation. Thank you for sharing this with us.
You're very welcome!
Excellent explanation. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! thank you!
This is excellent! Very useful video. I want that metal tool you use. Do you mind me asking where you got it?
My tool was custom made by someone on Instagram that no longer makes them. I'm looking at arranging for it to be manufactured again so others can use it because it is really useful!
I saw polymer clay durable and flexible during crafting and no crumblings too, its look like plastic..do u know what trick was made to the clay
sorry, I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but when polymer clay gets kneaded very well it becomes much more malleable and flexible.
@AmandaParkinsonArt hes famous on utube, thats why i got curious, because i know its not a simple polymer clay
Beautiful job, keep it up❤❤
Thank you!! 😊
And how does one go about getting mohair? Do you use mohair yarn? Mohair doll locks? How do i know what to purchase?
I often get mohair on a weft, it can be found in doll supply stores or Etsy. You can also get it on the pelt if it's easier, also from Etsy.
How much mohair do you estimate is needed for one 1/6 wig? For example if i’m buying a 80cm piece that’s roughly 40g, how many would i need?
I'm sorry, as I usually get my mohair in bulk, I don't tend to measure, so I'm really not sure. When you say an 80cm piece, do you mean yarn? I usually will get wefts, but there are also pelt pieces available, and either should be enough for a 1/6 scale wig.
What brand resin do you use? Have you had any trouble with the resin yellowing over time?
I use a generic brand from eBay. I show the bottle in my latest video. I haven't had trouble with any yellowing. If it's cured properly, it holds up really well. Clear nail polish has the worst problem with yellowing, which is why I use UV Resin. I hope that helps!
@AmandaParkinsonArt thank you!
So glad you persisted. Brilliant results.
thank you so much!
What a wonderful video and a beautiful sculpt. Can you share how you remove the dolls head from the aluminum foil?
With polymer clay sculptures, you leave the aluminium foil in the head. It supports the sculpture and ensures the clay bakes and cures properly. Thank you so much for your compliments!
Wow!! That’s so satisfying to watch
thank you!
You did a fabulous job 👍
thank you so much!
I can totally see the passion and love you put into your pieces. It's so inspiring! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much; that means a lot!
You are HELPFUL and you are LOVELY!! Thank you!!!
thank you so much!
Fabulous!
thank you!
B coz it has resin
Can we bake it with doll face...
I find that if properly cured, the resin eyes can be baked with a polymer clay sculpture. Polymer clay cures at relatively low temperatures that don't tend to affect the resin. Of course, I wouldn't put a large amount of resin in the oven as it may smell, but such a small layer, like what is on the eyes, is not problematic. However, always read the safety instructions of the resin you're using and do tests, as results can vary with brands.
@AmandaParkinsonArt Thank u so much 🙏
This video was the perfect answer for the questions I had. Thank you so much for your patient instruction and exquisite work.
Thank you, that's so kind! I'm glad I could help!
Thank you very much! The doll is beautiful. You did a wonderful job.
Thank you so much!
The best hair tutorial I have seen. Thank you so much. xxx
Thank you! ♥️
Great hair tutorial, thanks.
Thank you!
I'm really glad that you persisted and posted the video. Just what I needed! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much, that's so kind!
whenever i try to stretch the fingers, the clay always breaks off. how to prevent this?
The clay may require more kneading. If you knead the clay well, the clay becomes very soft and malleable. Also, make sure you dull the cut marks between each finger before stretching, as there can be a weak spot. Apart from that, it just requires a very gentle and slow touch. Keep practising; it is a bit fiddly.
Thank you for the video, this is really helpful! I'm just starting out in the doll-making world, and this has me really excited to start with wigs!!
You're welcome! Have fun with your doll-making; they're so fun to make.
I've never seen the process of cleaning a porcelain casting with brushes before. Very interesting! Thank you for sharing. Your sculpture is lovely, and I'm sure any porcelain doll collector would love to add your work to their collection. You may want to try using modeling clay for your mold making. You can have a color contrast with your Sculpey to make cleaning up the master easier once you've made the mold, and the modeling clay is generally cheap and reusable for years. I've used it many times for making molds and dams.
Thanks for the tip! I'll have to give that a try.
I love your realistic sculptures❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much!
This is exactly what I was looking for. I mostly see people using glass cabachons for their art doll eyes, and they do give a great result. But I didn't want to have to buy more cabachons every time I want a different size. Thanks for the tutorial. 😊
You're very welcome! I have tried cabochons before, but it is very difficult trying to find the right size every time
It might be odd, but I was I was looking for something like this for my Warhammer models 😄
That's intriguing, I'd love to see them!
I am not a native english speaker so I thought "kiln" was a sort of glue or something to put brush onto the clay to make it shine🤣🤣so I put it into Google translater and it meant oven🤣🤣
hahaha! Google translator is a life saver
Yea😂
You're good girl.
thank you!
Hey i just came across ur channel ALREADY subscribed ❤❤ i had a small request ... can u plz show how did you make the bloomas ( i might be spelling it wrong ) that babys dresss 👗 😂❤❤❤ plz ... 🙏
Sorry for the slow reply, I appreciate your subscribe! I have a few videos that I'm working on, but I will work on a bloomers video as soon as I can :D
@AmandaParkinsonArt thankyou so much ..... i really appreciate that .. its alright take your time 😄😄❤️❤️❤️❤️
As always, your work with polymer clay(baby, face baby etc etc), its so cute 👍👍👍🥰
thank you!
Hi, So cute, great work😉👍👍
thank you so much!
What if u only have air dry clay😭
I don't often use air dry clay, but I imagine it's a similar process. Best of luck!
@ ok,I have made a couple mini babies but they always were very dry.
Is it possible to make it so a pacifier can go on? It's way too small to put a magnet and if I try to make a pacifier it just falls out
You could fasten a pacifier on with "sticky tac", but I imagine that's not very aesthetic, haha
This is just amazing my toxic trade its thinking that i can do this 😂 haahh
hahaha everyone can sculpt with a metric butt-ton of practice ;)
Such good tutorial <3 My finger have a habit of breaking.. 😢 Is there a way to make them strong?
Thank you! Sorry for the delayed response. Try using Cosclay polymer clay. Sometimes, the brand of polymer clay can be fragile.
